Sellafield 2 will produce 7,5 tons of plutonium every year.
1,5 kilogram of plutonium make the nuclear bomb.
Sellafield 2 will release the same amount of radioactivity
Into the environment as the Tschernobyl every 4,5 years.
One of these radioactive substances
Krypton 85, will cause death and skin cancer

Kraftwerk, the most influential musicband in History of rock, pop, hiphop and electronic musik.
Beatles are up there too, but I agree that Kraftwerk and Beatles are probably the two singlehandedly most influential bands in modern music. They basically created new ways to present and make music and make it more accessible at the same time (beatles Drummer+Bass+Guirtarist(s)+Singer was revolutionary simple set up just like Kraftwerks sole reliance on ultimately fairly handy and easy to use synthezisers essentially allowing everyone to make music). These two bands have shaped modern culture more than people might know and music would definitively look very different today without them.
Oh for sure!
You're DAMN RIGHT!
Laibach did a pretty good job too
Nah......
The Rammstein song "Das Modell" comes from Kraftwerk !
My first rammstein song :)
Radioactivity was released in 1975. Kraftwerk are called The Godfathers of Techno and built their synthesizers themselves, simply bc there wasn't much available yet, except for the Moog, the Odyssey. The OB-X didn't come out until 1979.
Fun fact: as the first synthesizers were mostly popular with rock musicians like Brian Eno, Pink Floyd, the first albums from Kraftwerk were actually experimental rock!!!
The Organisation,K 1 & 2,Ralf und Florian are Parts of the "KRAUTROCK" German Music Scene back in the 70's....an awful disrespect Name from an English Paper Back Writer.
Godfather of Techno together with the Band "NEU", just listen to "Hallogallo"
Kraftwerk is not the only but definitely the heaviest influencer of EDM. They started out in the 60's as a rock band experimenting with weird music machines that came to replace all their conventional instruments and they were completely unique until the 80's when electronic instruments became more common and their fans started bringing their sound into their own stuff. They became an international phenomena in the early 70's when David Bowie discovered them.
These guys built ther own instruments before there were anything like it on the market and influenced both what synths sounded like and what electronic music sounded like.
What makes Kraftwerk unique among the handful of other godfathers of modern electronic music is that unlike the others they created a new music format for their machines rather than making electronic versions of existing genres like classical or disco music. It makes them the daddy of electronica; the guys that made electronic music its own thing.
rest in peace florian ...
Ahead of their game??? They were blasting this out at venues back in 1975! Way before the term EDM was even thought about! Happy days!
Of course this is a modern version of the song, the original sounds nothing like this version.
@@kraftwerklover69 That is not true.....the basis is very much the same, it´s not in ANY way a totally different song they are playing here
this is real german quality 👏👏
OMG Kraftwerk, founders of European Techno, Electric Cafe is my favorite.
Kraftwerk live was the most immaculately mixed show I've ever seen and heard.
"....its like Club Music..."..you have NO IDEA how right you were with these words...the MOST INFLUENTIAL Band in Club Music History!..."Trans Europa Express/Metall auf Metall" are the most sampled Tunes in Club Scene History.......
That's my ones of fav song by Kraftwerk long time ago (maybe 20 years ago, I'm 37 :) )
You need to check out the original version from 1975. They added the "radioactivity is bad"-angle later, originally it was more a play on words: Radioactivity - radio activity (the whole album featured songs about airwaves, radiowaves, nuclear power and so forth, it definitely was a concept album) and treated nuclear power more neutral.
Kraftwerk was a very unique group and one of the first forerunners of the newly created electronic sounds that became possible since Moog built the first synthesizer. Another German group of the day was Tangerine Dream who had a complete different approach, in the 70's they had great albums like "Ricochet", "Stratosfear", "Live in America" with the hit "Coldwater Canyon", among others.
Klaus Schultze was another guy who in those days experimented with electronic sounds. But one of the most popular was the French musician Jean Michel Jarre whose most iconic work was "Oxygen". You can savely say that the electronic sound was invented and further developed first in Europe, not in America.
BTW the sound quality at their live performances is insane. It is all multi-channel surround sound, totally immersive. And the bass is so punchy you can feel is in your stomach. If you ever have the chance see them live, you should - while they are still around ;-)
Kraftwerk are considered the progenitors/inventers of synth Pop and techno in general😊The first ones to do music with only using electronic keyboards...
You wouldn't see Depeche Mode today without them I guess
Great song, great message!
Please more Kraftwerk!!
Spacelab is an fantastic music so it is numbers...
The Mix version of this goes pretty hard.
OMG, I saw Kraftwerk on this tour, in Ireland, about 2005. They opened with this song, which was awesome, the rest of the concert was mind blowing.
Actually, It's a later tour, but still great 😊
KRAFTWERK - THE GODFATHERS of Electronic Music. The Song is from 1975. There were so ahead of their time. In 2012 they put "Fukushima" in the Lyrics.
Die Reaktion des Publikums war damals total cool, als sie das erstmal Fukushima mit aufgezählt haben. Völlig unerwartet. Gänsehaut
Really hoping Zaporizhzhia isn't next 😢
After the chernobyl accident, they changed the lyrics of the song. Radioactivity had original lyrics from 1975 to 1986.
Cooolllllll!!!
I'm going to see them on May 17th at 7pm at kemba live in Columbus Ohio
So legendary!
I love the Song " fahren auf der Autobahn 🚗" von KRAFTWERK...the original is 30 mins long lol
Good to see respect given to these original Gangstas!
i seen Kraftwek live in Glasgow/Scotland many years ago.... the bass from the vocoder (robot voice) was so deep you could feel it in your chest.
Robots never die !
The video behind them is in 3D. When you come to their concert, you get a pair of 3D glasses. It's frigging awesome live!
Though written in 1975 (‘Radioactivity’) and subsequently remixed in 1991 (‘Das Mix’), this is taken from the ‘Maximum - Minimum’ tour of 2004 and the back-projection would normally be in 3D, a V. cool effect
I,ve seen that concert live.absolutely astonishing!
One of the first electronic band ever
Mine: Bonanza Banzai, Depeche Mode and Kraftwerk :)
Kraftwerk Nice Düsseldorfer Band 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🥂🇩🇪🤘🏻
Planetarium. Laser Floyd. If you have a chance, SEE IT!!
a highly influential and important band.....just saying//troutbumandsam
These dudes basically invented techno and a-lot of the electronic that followed - and have all the right to do anything they want - I was at at their concert here in 2014 ... brilliant and they have always been supportive in regards of the electronic scene.
For years I only knew the radio edit which has a fun nursery rhyme feel to it, saying like hey nuclear is great ! Then I came across the live version which is so dystopian. Such clever layering of messages. True artists.
You've really retained the superb sound quality there! I really suggest having a look at their Music Non Stop from this same live performance especially if you like a nice deep funky bass! That track is awesome & always ends their show!
First: Thank you for reminding me of these gyus! 😀
Second: Congrats on being the first one to react to Kraftwerk (as far as I can tell). I hope it becomes a thing. It's definately different! 😄
Deutsche Hysteriker Kraftwerk
Way before The Blue Men
these songs are from the 70s they talk about heavy stuff all the time
WOW! Haven't heard anything from Kraftwerk for a long time! That was still in my youth! :-D
❤️
oh the forefathers of techno Very great influence on today's music of all styles
Wir sind die robots
This song is a mood enhancer. I hear it when I jump delighted through the floodplains early in the morning and lick the dew from the leaves ...
If you are not in a good mood after that, it is your own fault.
You guys are doing the best music in the RUclips reaction community! This, Nina Hagen etc. Early "Killing Joke" might tickle your fancy too. Much love
love this song, watch official clip, its different, well original form. Kraftwerk, reason i bought a synth
Triple bonus for figuring out the Morse (except there is probably no meaning)
Kraftwerk are from Düsseldorf, Germany
Starlab? No, Spacelab! This is the best flowing Kraftwerk song you've done so far. How about doing Trans Europe Express/Metal on Metal in the future?
the morse code at the beggining (i won't spell the code bc i don't know morse code) says "radioactivity"
also the words "discovered by Madame Curie" are about polish scientist (Maria Skłodowska-Curie) which with her french husband because back in the day women couldn't go to college in Poland so she moved to France have discovered Radioactivity. She named it Polon because the name reminded her of Poland. She have won two nobel prizes
Listen to the version of this that they released on their remix album "The Mix"
Techno pop!
Check out Kraftwerk - Man Machine live, awsome!
Saw them live a couple of years ago (their 3D show) and it was great! Way better than expected :)
The godfathers of techno.
The lyrics in the original song back in the 70s where VERY MUCH different and more neutral to the topic nuclear energy.
It was after the incidents of Tschernobyl and Hiroshima they altered the lyrics I believe
The initial of the music is kaiger radiactiv machine counter, i preffer the original song germany in 1975 album
Они изобрели техно
Great reaction. Please react to Leprous with Castaway angels. You will love this band! A brilliant Norwegian band!
Finally people reacting to Kraftwerk. Nice 👍
Kraftwerk is not musik....it is pure Art at all
Hello again! They say third time is the lucky charm, but here is my third time.
Please react to Kvelertak - Blodtorst or Crack of Doom.
Since both these songs have a music video with it.
They are a Norwegian band and one of Dave Grohl’s favourites. ✌️
7:26 actually yes, Kraftwerk is named as at least one of the (if not even THE) inventors of EDM. Good guess!
Elektro Kardiogramm and Ohm Sweet Ohm should be next
I prefer the original old music. He is genius.
That’s a great version. Normally I would recommend listening to pre-english Kraftwerk. ”Die Roboter” ”Radioaktivität”, ”Das Model”, ”Neon-licht”
Please "GET THE SHOT - BLACKENED SUN"
If you just knew what Kraftwerk means for the music world. This is serious electronic music and what the text means. We may be in front of an atom war and Kraftwerk have already addressed that 50 years ago.
There are two bands around the world who are unique and that are Kraftwerk and Rammstein. Both come from Germany.
The beginning of Techno
And industrial music
A lot of the songs I believe came from the radioactivity bass riff
@@kiethveseyofficial And Hip Hop beats.
nice reaction, grettings from chile
Kraftwerk are the forefathers of all things electric, main stream, before Garry Newman or Joy Division/New Order
But Rick Wright, Stevie Wonder or Donna Summers also had a lot to do with it
When comes something between kraftwerk and rammstein? Laibach makes good songs too.
Come on LAIBACh
yes please!
It's doubtful that Kraftwerk will ever cooperate directly with another band. It's not Ralf's style. They denied requests from Michael Jackson and David Bowie.
Odd how they were mentioning Chernobyl in 1975 but the disaster didn't happen until 1986
Kraftwerk's autobahn......best tune by them.
I guess you could call it EDM of 1970s to the extent, they themselves called it electropop and were obviously extremely influencial to all electronic music genres and subgenres, pop music, industrial (anti)music, hip-hop, but also post-punk genres and so on and on; some critics consider them as the most influencial group in pop music history. They pushed the electronic music from academic (try listening to Karlheinz Stockhausen) to popular circles. Originally hailing from the genre called krautrock Kraftwerk members before starting the group in 1970 recorded an album in this style titled "Tone Float" as Organization. The first 3 K albums are almost purely experimental with 4th one being what is considered a classic Kraftwerk style: "Autobahn" from 1974. "Radioactivity" (or "Radio-Aktivität" - their albums have german and english language versions, I prefer german versions, although "Radioactivity" sounds better in english imo; the newer "Catalogue" version with japanese lyrics and references to Fukushima is still even better imo) from 1975 is considered to be their last experimental record, originally using a wordplay (and soundplay) on the themes of radio and radiowaves throughout the whole album (I recommend listening to it just for yourselves, both german and english versions preferably). This and "Trans Europa Express" (1977) are my favorite albums by them btw. And further btw: the part after the first singing part (beeping sounds) are the lyrics "sung" in morse code, really cool idea imo.
And even further btw - this particular live that you've reacted to was recorded in Warsaw, Poland in 2004 and it was my 1st Kraftwerk show I've been to, the 2nd one was in 2008 and remains my 2nd favorite live I've ever been to.
^ pretty much this. Beatles are really the only ones you could bring into the discussion over who is the most influential music band of modern history. Really cant be overstated that Kraftwerk basically made electronic music a thing for the wider audience and were hugely influential for early techno (especially house) and early hip hop aswell. When I remember correctly the first hip-hop chart success was based on a "Trans-Europe-Express" sample which essentially laid the foundation of how hip-hop would be made in it's beginning. Also has to be mentioned that Kraftwerk were the first ones to not "sing" at least not in a classical sense as you may noticed their singing is usually devoid of all emotion, more of a spoken word kind of style which arguably laid the groundwork for non-singing genres of music like hip-hop to get accepted.
Kraftwerk is a Elektro Band from Düsseldorf7Germany a so Rheingold and Die Krups, Propaganda on YT

I would most like to listen in Chernobyl, on top of one of the abandoned residential buildings, I lie down and watch the stars. Beautiful dreams. :)
Is this considered edm?! They invented it.
next Klaus Nomi
React to the GazettE - Uragiru Bero live or Deux Live
Kraftwerk (= Paper mill...) influenced everything in music... Even in the actual Rammstein you find electronic and industrial sounds very identical...
starts at 01:14
6:45 -- Yes, because you know why? "cause KRAFTWERK created the techno music, literally and historically speaking! That's why! ... ROFLMAO!
Kraftwerk INVENTED electronic music. Check out Electric Cafe... 20 years before techno.
Kraftwerk from the 70´s... Great...
This is the more groovy version. The one on the album is more basic (so to speak).
Yeah....but nah.....no trap beats here. You know I was in my mid teens when this came out. Glad to see it's still getting looked at.
pls react to music non stop live
ELECTRO POP
You should listen the original Radioactivity album, not this modern remix....
i would like to see a reaction of you guys to soulwax. should be very interesting to see how you react on them.
"Did they invent EDM?" Yeah, you can make that argument. That's fair.
The godfathers of electronic music! And they're from Germany. Unfortunately they have this terrible rough and harsh German accent when speaking Einglish. Either way, their musical influence on electro pop from the late 1970ies until today was pioneering.
Where Rammstein
Ин Джермани?
2:16 fans of death and skin cancer.
this is absolutely not the original version,
This version is a bit disappointing. The No Nukes 2012 version aka. The 3D-Catalogue version is better, but The Mix version is the best.
For me, the best is original version 1975
You are forgot something - those guys are trying to warm us.
Nobody cares!🤷🤦
It wasn't differently an "fun" song.
