I actually think the ice gag could have benefitted the game if it changed a bit. like if you could actually walk in the cutscene, approach sans and steal his ice cream. It would both be funny and not hinder any speed runnners from having fun.

I actually did recreate it within the first week, but turned into a Spamton thing because I couldn't find the right soundfont. Today I found the instruments by accident, so I quickly whipped up this thing.

As funny as this is: We did just have to walk through all of New Home's cutscenes and the long elevator and Alphys confession speech and Mettaton's tragic rating cutscene.

I dunno if there is aby ways to skip these, but given this guy mentions it I have to assume there isn't any, at the very least not for the long-ass New Home sequence. A scene like this would not only be too much of a dick move, but would also completely kill the speedrunning community for this game, *forever.*
