I just watched PG for the first time a couple months ago and I LOVED it! Makes for a *stellar* double feature with John Dies At The End Cannot wait for this one! Thanks for putting it on my radar!
The OG movie in the 80's was a wild ride. It takes place in this alternate universe where 'being too flawed' gets you rounded up and killed. So there are the GPK being zany and this... Bleak dystopia going on in the background. Then the movie ends with "Ooops, looks like your friends all died horribly. Let's go get lunch!" So yeah, the 80's Garbage Pail Kids movie was like if Schindler's List was a comedy with puppets.
I really wanted to see this one at Fantasia since I live next to it, but I'm broke as hell this week. Guess I'll be seeing Oddity or Witchboard instead ;___;
If it comes tot a theater where I'm at, I'll see it there for sure. After all, I'm not missing a film with Hollywod Superstar Ellen DeGeneres guest Rich Evans in it.
The leprechaun movie could've been WORSE, but still wasn't a good movie. Also, I don't care if people think it's a meme to hate on Ozzie, I don't even care if HOW he died is technically in continuity-- I liked the character and he was done dirty.
I dunno. The dialog and situations were incoherent. It was like a 7 year old wrote the film with no concept of how people talked or what could happen in different situations. It's like if you asked someone to make a movie completely out of improv, but just haphazardly edited random takes together without any context. Even as a "spoof" film (it really isn't) it makes zero sense. It's a shame because I really had high hopes for this film, ironically enough.
Hmm I just considered it to be exactly like a child would think. After alll this is based off stuff as we were kids. Not sure how old you are but they arr taking kid logic and playing it straight. So it supposed to be off. Becuase if you were in a world were puppets or creatures came to life like kids think it wouldn't make sense. It's following jts own sort thing. Not supposed to be as real as maybe you might be hoping. It would be like cartoon rules in the real world if that makes sense.
