Dont give up. Setbacks are part of life. Self employment gives you a freedom that employment by others would stifle. Your mum sounds really supportive and your family always feature as helpers when you need them so you are not alone 😊
Your video came up yesterday when you first moved in and I watched again. It shows how much you’ve done already in one year. You should be very proud of your self! Sending you all the love and I hope the web-shop is going well.
@@EliseBuchis the sweater you were wearing when you said you had to paint the bottom of the cabinet new or old? I love it and would love to have one for fall!
Trials and challenges can, indeed, make one who is on their own feel lonely. I’m an older woman who has both her daughter and grandson living with her. When my husband was alive, he was always my rock. My daughter was very helpful, but was in a severe auto accident in February which was not managed correctly and now is barely able to take care of herself and her son. Each challenge I’m faced with now produces a great deal of anxiety, as I’m sure you understand. Anxiety leaves emotional and physical exhaustion. And we are left wondering WHEN will things just go on without a hitch so that I can just relax and enjoy the life I dream of? I’ve been through a lot, also, and people call me a strong woman. As I see it, YOU are very strong! You have what it takes to get through each trial you are presented with and come out the other end successfully. Life will always present us with tribulations, and sorting them out is how we learn and gain our wisdom. I see you as a beautiful soul, always growing. You are beautiful inside and out. Please know that you inspire this 65 year old woman in so many ways! If I could reach you, I’d hug you so tight!❤ Keep persevering, Elise!
I paused the video to reply, I have the same feelings as you, my son was diagnosed with schizophrenia several years ago. I dream a lot! You’re not alone and they all say you’re so strong when I really want to run away! But I’m here and always will be cause that’s just who I am! Praying for you, you will be in my thoughts, we are not alone❤
Re: Self Employment - When I look your videos, you have the freedom to create your own "world" and that is magical. In an employment I cannot breath, I only have to "function", there is nothing magical about it. But my work ethic is not as good as yours, so maybe you could manage to have the best of both lifes.
I have the feeling you "bring a little magic wherever you go." Therefore, it doesn't have to be magical before you arrive but you can leave it that way when you leave.🧚✨
Hey Elise, as a 62 year old, there's something I've learned. Never make a decision during a down moment. If you decide you don't want to continue being self-employed, wait until you feeling stronger. I'm so happy that you have a boyfriend and are able to share your life with someone again! XOXO from the USA!
Hi Elise!! I am sorry that you've had such a hard time!! One of my favorite quotes is some days it's marathons & some days it's baby steps- & both are ok. Meaning that some days are just smooth going & lots accomplished & some days it's a trial to get out of bed. It's just life. You are so talented & such a blessing to so many!! Please don't give up on yourself!! Love seeing your beautiful dining nook!! That beautiful cabinet- love it!! Those pillows are gorgeous!! Hang in there & take care of yourself ❤😊💐
The fact you could purchase another laptop was something to be grateful for. To be able to lean on your Mum for support is another blessing. Customers coming from Finland is a beautiful gift. Look at it another way and your day doesn't seem so bad.
Your videos are so enjoyable. I have watched them all. You have grown up so much. You are an inspiration to young adults. You have so much energy, you are so creative, a beautiful young lady. I really admire you. I have purchased the velvet jacket off your website. I can't wait to receive it. Your rabbit Luna was so adorable, I have a rabbit that is 11 yrs old now. Looking forward to your next video,I also thrift everything. Cindy from USA

Girl, I'm so sorry for these last couple of days! I'm also self employed, and sometimes we just get a terrible couple of weeks... When this happens, I allow myself to despair and cry for a bit, to voice my feelings, and then I treat myself to some comfy times... Then get up and solve the problems. You did so much! Look where you are now! You are perfectly capable of handling another crisis, and I bet this isn't even the worst that has happened. Rest for a while, everything will seem easier after some crying and resting ❤
Elise, you're an Amazon Warrior Queen! Sending you, always, many hugs and my admiration! We do the best we can, every day. You are a blessing to me! Thank you for sharing your world! ❤💐🤗
Wonderful video, thank you for sharing your life’s ups and downs. It’s ironic that both pc’s went down 😮, but yet here we are and you made it happen. As I lay here, bed bound with Covid, your video lifted my spirits so much. 🌞🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🇺🇸
Elise, I love your channel, the content you create and your unique and amazing style. ❤I have not found another creator on RUclips like you. You are my favourite and I so appreciate the little look into your life and your business you share with your viewers on this platform. Your passion for what you do never ceases to shine through. It is easy to doubt our choices in life when things go wrong, but it’s those times that force us to grow and become stronger. You’ve got this!
Dear Elise, so glad your Mom was able to come by and help you…. We all need our moms at times. I hope and pray the computer situation clears up soon. You do amaze me at the amount you accomplish on your own from construction- type things to interior design to fashion design, etc……… 🥰
Elise, things will be better next week. Be proud of yourself for solving all the problems and working everything out. Your home is beautiful and so warm and welcoming. You are amazing and your energy is so kind and positive. You are a bright light to so many. Hugs, dear one. 👍😊❤
Elise, your dining room looks amazing! You should be so proud of all you have accomplished❤ Just know that setbacks and hard times are part of what makes you who you are: strong and resilient. You didn’t give up, you were resourceful and determined and you got through it. Challenges are going to be part of life no matter the direction you choose. Hold on to your passion and drive and you can do anything you set your mind to. I believe in you!
I was so excited to see this video showing up this Saturday! You are the first one I look for, to watch, every week! And of course, it didn’t fail to enlighten me… in any way.. your style is so beautiful and injoyable , I hope you never give up on doing all this, for us too.. I’m sure I am not alone, out here in this vast universe..you make me feel young and vivacious, even though I’ll be 80 in November… Best wishes with you and your new boyfriend. It’s so great to have a sidekick near you. Who cares and loves everything that you do. It’s always a joy to share your life with someone who cares very deeply…. But of course it’s new. It’s different and there’s good and bad to all things in this life you’ll adjust you used to be single but now you’re a couple and that’s one of the most beautiful things in this world keep loving keep sharing. keep being you put a bright lightin every day
Elise, I have been watching you daily for a couple weeks now. I am currently renovating my home by myself as well and am a single female in my thirties. You have been inspiring me and motivating me. I am so grateful to have found you at this time in my life. Thank you so much for sharing your world with us. ❤ ✨ I am renovating a Victorian home and just bought two beautiful pieces from your store for my home in New York to support. Thank you! 🥰
Thank you so so much, and thank you for the support 🥰🥰 Wow, sounds like a fun and wild project. Hope you do get some help tho' it's terribly draining to renovate alone 🥰
I'm so glad to see you kept your design plan for your breakfast nook and didn't listen to people who don't have the same creative brain as you! Love the new collection photos. Those are great! Also, keep your chin up. You should be so proud of yourself.
Definitely hear you on self-employment being lonely, I feel that way too. I have a very supportive family but like you said, at the end of the day everything is on your own shoulders. I often feel like I live on the edge of 'not being ok' and this year I've been trying very hard to get ahead of things and stay prepared, but... most times I'm barely above water! Glad you got through, and also the nook is looking soooo cute! ✨💖✨
My heart goes out to you Elise regarding the double computer deaths. You are utterly amazing in the way you handled the situation and yourself. You carry a lot and with such grace.
Love all the cushions, do you ever drive by the cottage so see what's been done on it (if anything)? Bugga about all the stuff that happened, sometimes things just try and push us to an extreme, you got there and thats what mums are for. Take care and hope next week is much better for you :)
The dinning room is looking so cute! Very Elise. ❤ I’m sorry to hear of all your stress, but you are doing a wonderful job getting through this. Crying and calling your mom is what I would do too. Please remember to back up your data and maybe buy an external hard drive. There is also cloud backup too.
Elise, You are such a sweet hearted woman and you accomplish so much in your daily life. Step back for one day, take a deep breath and realize how strong you are. Stress happens and you always come through it. This time is no different. You have a strong family who support you totally so let them lend you strength till you can release that breath and come out on the other side. As your friends we support you so know how much you are loved and appreciated. 🙏❤️
I love the breakfast/ dining nook so much. the little cabinet on the wall is a very nice addition to the room. Sorry about your computer, that happened to me twice! Next time try saving important data to a flash drive, or in the " cloud" or on a disk. whatever works best for you. 💗 It's okay to cry.
I have worked for other people my whole life…don’t give up…. The responsibility of working for yourself is hard… but the freedom to be in charge of your own creative vision is priceless. We’re rooting for you!!
I think you proved to yourself just how determined and strong you are…good job Elise. The dining room looks very sweet and cozy. Your home is adorable and I really love it. All of it!
You inspire me so much! Your will, and drive to create this unique world, is incredible - its constant work and striving for beauty. Even this will be a learning and expansion for you- it always is! Lovely to hear your Mum was right there for you, and maybe that Finnish follower was an angel being there in that moment and that you were able to be honest with her and still connect is beautiful - she will have felt the realness. I hope you had a great rest and feel some new energy come in. x x x
You are an inspiration Elise. Things are sent our way to teach us something we need to learn. You come out at the other end a different person. You become someone who is stronger. Be grateful to have gone through what you need to go through - you're like a tea bag. You never know how strong you can be until you are in hot water. Sending you hugs and kisses from Australia.
GiRliE YoU RoCk!!!!!❤❤❤❤Deep breath. Those of us that choose to work alone have to remember why we do it. Never forget that you bring us joy. There will be set backs. But on the good days you’ve got this. Even the bad days, you’ve got this. You’ve had a rough time..but you made it! You made it! All of us appreciate you. We appreciate your hard word and devotion. I want you to have a good week. And if you don’t, check in. We will be here.
I love the nook, so cozy!! As a fellow self employed woman, I felt for you and your technology struggles this week. We don’t have a help desk to call like from my corporate days! I am optimistic you will be able to get your data back, maybe you can start using a cloud service so that this can never happen again? Thank you for sharing your life with us!
The dining room is beautiful! Technology, wow! So sorry to hear about the stress. Today, is a new day, yesterday is gone and tomorrow is not here yet. You will triumph!
Elise, you did everything right, you handled the situation with the professionalism you always do. As for your PCs and the lost data, can you take them to an IT person; or a computer repair shop? They might be able to retrieve your lost data. All that aside, this is a fabulous video so once again, your hard work and professional dedication, shone through--you're a star, Elise! A total star!❤❤❤❤
Good morning Elise reading some of the comments tells me your not wasting your time, your a very capable person, ups and downs as you know make us women stronger. Your commitment to your channel says a lot to all who enjoy your work. Hang on in there . Hugs and Blessings to you and your family .💚🌹
Dear Elise...you should be so proud of yourself...there's always going to be difficult times and it's not nice going through them...but you got through it and you still produced something beautiful....now your going to be a little stronger and wiser the next time life throws you a challenge...you dinning room looks gorgeous and so pleased for you that you have opened your heart again to love 😊❤
I can understand your frustrations re: the computer issues. I’m retired now but I have worked for others and also had my own business. Once you’re self employed it’s hard to go back to working for someone else and having to ‘play by their rules’. I wish life didn’t throw so many curve balls but I think it helps us appreciate the good times when life is moving along the way we want. I really appreciate the effort you put into filming your videos, moving the camera around, to capture the essence of your life. Thank you for being you and sharing part of your life with us here. ❤
Especially with your business info, please start from now backing everything up to the cloud. You'll never lose your work, just start up your new computer and you're exactly where you were when the first one died with all your stuff on hand. Much less stress x
Oh no, there is nothing worse than having tech problems. I don’t think you have lost your data, it will still be on the hard drive and that can be accessed and resolved. I had what sounds like the same issue, my power source fried a circuit board which powers up the computer. I learned a valuable lesson to always use a surge protector power board/ junction box on all my important gadgets and appliances so that wouldn’t happen again. It is devastating when you can’t access your material. Self employment is challenging at times but if you weigh the pros and cons, and providing you can support yourself, it usually outweighs working for someone else. You are a strong Taurean, take deep breaths and keep your focus. You’re doing an amazing job. Keep up the great work 😀🌸🌿
@Tellingspot - so well named your advice was indeed spot on 👍 Absorb all the heartfelt comments Elise and start a fresh new week because you are a beam of sunshine to so many. The dining area is gorgeous, gets better with each addition 🫶 I have put SO many holes in many walls over the years it’s embarrassing xx
Oh Elise, I’m so sorry the last 48 hours have not been so kind to you. I really enjoy seeing your corner looking more beautiful with each video that you make of it , and appreciate the time you take in sharing everything with us. Keep smiling, and I hope you have a wonderful weekend ❤🦋
What a wonderful cozy eating area you’ve created! Your vision has evolved into switching from a dark ‘dining room’ into a light filled space that is warm and inviting & reflects your engaging & creative personality. The tech problems now have given you a fresh start (along with a new boyfriend) so it completes this total transition of letting the old melt away….top to bottom, inside to outside! Hooray!
You are an amazingly focussed and hard working woman, Elise. So sorry you had all that computer trouble. Your home and studio are both beautiful places and you’ve worked hard on both. I hope you are proud of yourself xxxxx
everything turned out so nice and cozy, perfect interior designer!! (and I am a pillow addict😔) That's why I have a lot of pillowcases to suit the season and my mood,. thats why I really like yours, they fit perfectly! thank you for vlogging and enjoy the summer💖💖💖
Love what you do. Don't give up. You are awesome! I am 67 and watch your videos. I find you so beautiful and inspiring I love your style. Don't ever stop being you.
I love every bit of your videos, but I think my favorite parts are the beginnings when you create peaceful moments. I felt awful for the end with you explaining your struggles. Soak in your peaceful moments, Elise. You’re an amazing person and entrepreneur - you’ve got this woman. You always do!
Amazing Elise, that you handled the stress so well - that you still got a video out - that you kept going - that you were honest to your visitor. You did really well. The dining area looks lovely and cozy. Your collection looked fabulous. And how nice that you have a new boyfriend.
Shout out to the mummies who help out in emergencies including mine this morning! I've had issues with this laptop cord and the battery dying and panicking. I rush to grab the external hard drive and save anything new onto it before the battery dies. My son bought a new cord and it's really saved us. I wonder how you could grow the webshop or your patreon etc so you can get to a point to employ another worker to help you out and have some company. Maybe some boutique business tips or behind the scenes with the process of designing things and having them made like an online course or something. I really enjoyed you sharing danish words with us. As Denmark is part of my heritage but never lived or been there, it's one of the languages I'd love to learn. So, if you wanted to share more of that throughout your videos I'd be totally up for that as well.
Your home is beautiful. It is a reflection of you. Life has many challenges and some days are cloudy, but the sun will always rise again. Thank you for sharing your wonderful self with us all.
i love, love your videos, elise 🩷 i'm a fan from the philippines. accidentally discovered your channel thanks to the algorithm, and there's no going back for me 🫶🏻 you're an inspiration 🩷
The dining area turned out beautifully! The naysayers should have listened to you. I am also a small business owner and I understand completely. It can be lonely and challenging at times. We love you, Elise. It is all worth it. Never give up! I’ll be buying from the shop again soon. I wear my brass moon ring almost every day. Love from Texas.
I feel so much for you in this moment specifically because I know EXACTLY how it feels to have days like this! Where you are trying SO hard, yet you feel like you are getting no where fast! Deep breaths. That's really all you can do in times like that. Breathe and keep moving forward. To just get through it without losing it completely is to win in those cases and I've literally watched you do it time and again! Just know you are never really alone. In general or in life. You seem to have such a great support system in your family and friends, and of course you know we all love you. Tomorrow will surely be a better day. ;)
I just love your breakfastnook/dining area. It turned out so beautiful like everything you do. You really made that house a home. So so beautiful. I love it. Beautiful just like you. Dont ever give up on self employment. You are so talented and you can do it. We all have bad days and this too will pass.
Sending you a really really big hug, it's gonna be okeeyy... It really is and it's okeeyy to be human and be sad or frustrated, people usually understand more than you think, cause they're human too..... 😊❤
treat yourself to something special despite your setback you did a lot of amazing new additions for your living area and just incredible that you share so much of yourself with others. Good or bad I enjoy ice cream sundae now and then and divert my focus to recovering from the nutritional slam and then move on. Take a small break you'll carry on...
I love your 70’s look for your photo shoot! It really looked like you stepped out of 1970 for it! And your nook is adorable! Very Elise! I’m so sorry about your computers! I had something very similar happen to me last week! My IPad just stopped working, my portable A/C unit completely stopped working and my IPhone case broke! So, I know how you’re feeling! Almost like the forces that be are working against you! Hopefully things will get better for both of us! ❤
Commenting to bump-I know that feeling when issues pile up and feel like an avalanche coming down on you! Glad the moments have passed & best wishes for the future!
your thrift stores looks amazing, your town, your home.. they all look beautiful ❤

The dinning room is looking so cute! Very Elise. ❤
I’m sorry to hear of all your stress, but you are doing a wonderful job getting through this. Crying and calling your mom is what I would do too.
Please remember to back up your data and maybe buy an external hard drive. There is also cloud backup too.
Poor Elise. I feel so sorry for you. You work so hard. Hopefully things will resolve soon.❤
This day will pass, with all its problems. Perspective is key.
Your videos are amazing. Hang in there!
I second that!!
Well said!
I know it has been alot, but what is amazing is that you handled it! Life is crazy, but you are amazing.
Those book marks makes me feel so old 😂😂. We used to collect and swap them when I was in school
You’re doing amazing considering Elise, you’re still powering through on your own and you’ve got this. ❤❤
I luv your whole look in the final scene, so beautiful! And i luv how your hair matches the couch 😄 Gorgeous colours 🧡
Thaaanks ❤️ It was a stressful week as selfemplyed for sure ☺️
The dining room is beautiful! Technology, wow! So sorry to hear about the stress. Today, is a new day, yesterday is gone and tomorrow is not here yet. You will triumph!
Loved every moment of this video. You are amazing. Hoping you've found the sweetest love of your life !!! ❤❤❤
Thanks 🥰
Your dining area looks fantastic, very inviting! 😊
Your house is really shaping up !! Your new "sunroom" area is getting to be so pleasant !😊💛
So sorry for having such a horrible few days. This to shall pass. My mantra 😊on repeat during tough days.
I hope you're proud of yourself with all you've accomplished. 🎉😊
Thanks ☺️
Especially with your business info, please start from now backing everything up to the cloud. You'll never lose your work, just start up your new computer and you're exactly where you were when the first one died with all your stuff on hand. Much less stress x
Hang in there. You got this.
Keep up the great work 😀🌸🌿
@Tellingspot - so well named your advice was indeed spot on 👍
Absorb all the heartfelt comments Elise and start a fresh new week because you are a beam of sunshine to so many. The dining area is gorgeous, gets better with each addition 🫶 I have put SO many holes in many walls over the years it’s embarrassing xx
I am so pleased that you have found a new bow - a new love in your life. You are living a great life, on your own terms, bless you. xxx
You are beautiful and amazing Elise.God bless ❤
Onwards and upwards, you have done it in the past and if anyone can do it , you can Elise.💐
Love what you do. Don't give up. You are awesome! I am 67 and watch your videos. I find you so beautiful and inspiring I love your style. Don't ever stop being you.
You can do it! We appreciate what you do so much❤from USA🇺🇲
You've got this 🎉🎉🎉. LOVE LOVE LOVE your 60's collection.
Oh boy, that is so frustrating - sending great vibes for a positive energy shift for you, for support from surprise places that help buoy you along!
i love, love your videos, elise 🩷 i'm a fan from the philippines. accidentally discovered your channel thanks to the algorithm, and there's no going back for me 🫶🏻 you're an inspiration 🩷
Tomorrow will surely be a better day. ;)
Your dining area looks so nice, i love it. Yes the ups and downs of being self employed can really take a toll on you. But your doing great. 😊🇨🇦
Love all the Funky Friday outfits!!! Dining room is coming along beautifully!
I’m finally getting caught up with your vlogs. I love that cabinet!!! It looks so good
treat yourself to something special despite your setback you did a lot of amazing new additions for your living area and just incredible that you share so much of yourself with others.
All will work out. I appreciate all you went through to make this videO
Thanks ☺️
Commenting to bump-I know that feeling when issues pile up and feel like an avalanche coming down on you! Glad the moments have passed & best wishes for the future!
