- The contest between NDA and India Alliance ended today i.e. on Wednesday in the first parliamentary session of the 18th Lok Sabha. Om Birla has again become the speaker of the Lok Sabha. As per parliamentary tradition, both PM Modi and Rahul Gandhi escorted Om Birla to his seat.
