    The Fever now have the front office to promote CC and the entire team as a profitable and winning team. And they now have the coach and staff for their superstar and teammates to go for it. Just see them picking up a free agent or two to become a true competitor for a title .
    Hope they get Satou. CC and the Fever will be the face of basketbal and all sports if they keep on winning. They will be 'rock stars'. Basketball's version of the Beatles!!!l

    Looking at the stats from the fever the average ticket price was $152 and average attendance was 17,036 times 20 games is 51.7 million dollars in just ticket sales. Add in Merch, parking, food/beverage, sponsorships, TV views, etc the fever easily made $175 million to $250 million last year and just imagine paying this player a salary of $76k which is less than what my mailman makes

  • @amyk6319
    @amyk6319 22 часа назад +8

    I get so frustrate by people who can't grasp that sports leagues make the majority of their revenue from media rights deals, esp those who play in arenas vs stadiums. So the reason the WNBA does not currently turn a profit is because they have had a horrible media rights deal for the last 10 yrs that was negotiated by the NBA commissioner. The WNBA will turn a profit once the new media rights deal takes effect next year, but the new media rights deal is also horrible & way too low.
    But the Fever ownership are making lots of money even without knowing their portion of national media rights. Local media deals should be controlled by the individual teams. And profits for everything from attendance, ticket sales, merch & concessions have increased over 400% this year. And I can only imagine what the Fever can now get for licensing & sponsorships deals.

    • @Rondigity92

    I honestly wouldn’t be shocked to see a $1 billion valuation on the Fever in a few years if they put together a really good team and the hype stays close to where it is now. Especially if Caitlin decides to be a franchise player for Indiana.
    The reason the Fever are bigger than the Pacers is because superstar players matter. A lot. And I’m sorry but Tyrese Halliburton isn’t a superstar. Nice guy though.

      That's one reason why the salary cap won't be eliminated. The other team owners don't want the Fever to put together a Dream Team in 2026. Without a salary cap, Indiana would be able to outbid every other WNBA team with multi-million dollar salary deals AND still not lose money.

    NBA average for all views is 1.6 million. Multiply by the number of games. Multiply by the number of teams. The WNBA is not bigger than the NBA. They get around 4 million views for conference finals views.
    Now, the Fever are a phenomenon. And Caitlin Clark is the straw that stirs the drink. But how many views do the worst teams in small markets get for the WNBA?
    On the other, other hand, it is good to see this amazing upturn for women's basketball and it is earned, not hype generated.
    Tragically, the WNBA is straining every muscle fiber they have in an all out effort to stomp out the Caitlin Clark phenomenon. Maybe the stupidest thing I have ever seen in my life.

Paige has an opportunity to show what she can do for the Wings. That’s the difference between a true basketball player. A true basketball player plays to help a team reach the championship not bell out when there’s going to be challenges. 🌺🏀
