Yeah you will see a huge difference between a car that lives on the garage and the ones who are left to fry on the sun. Mine is 3 floors down in my residence and only collects dust. You have a great car. Unlike you I didn’t have a budget I just let Park Place to restore and swallow the expense. I am glad I did, she has been a reliable car better than the newer Mercedes Benz I have in the 10 years I own her. You don’t see W210 E55’s in Dallas anymore, they are quite rare even in Highland Park where I reside.
That E55 doesn't have burl wood, it has the same wood as yours it's called green birds eye maple wood but yours is all worn out. It's supposed to look green and very dark i have trim pieces in perfect condition from my E200 avantgarde partscar hehe. I got burl wood in my E230 elegance tho its brown wood and i like it tbh btw the E55 is my dreamcar! but they are so expensive here, there is this wagon for sale for 6k here in norway but it got rust holes underneath :/
That’s good info. I wish I knew how the previous owner let everything go to shit so easily. Probably sat out in the Texas sun for a good couple of years.
@@HacktivistMechanic Indeed it is. Same here sun causes most of it especially in texas. Those sun protectors are good to have if you wanna take care of your wood trims and dashboard they are very prone to cracking i got the one off of my E200 also and its only got one crack that isnt really visible at 3mm max.
It really bugs me that the panels for the memory seat buttons don't match the rest. Probably worth fixing a wagon, as far as I can find out they only built 1700 of them so can't be that many left what with the rust issues they have.
@@popuptoaster Same here my memory seats one are kinda lighter than the rest, mine is specced very rare with memory seats because it's a E230 and i've only seen one other E230 with memory here in norway?? yea it was but i don't have the funds right now. He lowered the price to 5k and someone bought it i think. Yeah it is a low amount for the wagons and some of them are even 4-matic! even more rare. Some people do tend to swap them over to another chassis. But you're right not many left. I saw this other one in sweden, has cream/black designo interior and desgino wood trim for 9k. Looks really beautiful!
