There are no 9 to 5 jobs shifts anymore. It is outdated expression. We live in a world where you work 24/7 your shift can be anytime during that period.

I love that you're showing the life of a 20 something year old Black woman trying to operate this crazy ass world. It's truly a narrative that many of us live but many of us don't see. I would LOVE some more budget videos. I'm currently launching my own copywriting business and want to have other streams of income. I've been in a bit f a funk for about 6 years now, since my little sister died, and now I feel like I'm finally thawing out and motivated again to go for what I originally wanted prior. I've been applying for more editorial postions, but have also wanted to stop relying on a boss/employee dynamic and make something for myself. Not sure if I could be a content creator in this sense, but I love writing, performing, and the arts in general. Finances have always given me major anxiety so seeing you budget out has helped me make a list for myself. Now I just need one for the business end (once I launch).

You shared with me so I will share with you. I don't wear makeup and I shave my head. I use the #1 guard. I shave my head because I enjoy it. I thrift most of my clothes and if I shop in the men's section I don't have to try to be pretty. My most expensive purchase for myself recently was a pen that cost $25.98 at office depot. I like to keep a journal and I wanted a refillable pen so I don't have to buy the disposable ones anymore. The disposables are good if I might lose my pen or have to lend it to someone who may not return it to me. I am more willing to spend money on someone else if I have money to spend. I just don't get any happiness from spending money on me. Personal preference.

But I did want to mention, only so you're not thrown off at tax time or risking an audit, the U.S tax court has ruled that the costs of maintaining an appealing appearance are not deductible, even for public personalities. U probably know this already but just for anyone watching that lives in the U.S.
I was just about to leave this same comment, if she gets audited, she is gonna be in a world of hurt. Do not mess with the IRS cause they can ruin your life for a long, long time. Hopefully she has an accountant who will tell her this kind of thing live and in person.

You do have to have articles of organization paper and so forth to open a business account. Meaning you have to be legally registered as a business to open a business banking account :)

You do have to have articles of organization paper and so forth to open a business account. Meaning you have to be legally registered as a business to open a business banking account :)
