    So glad I found your channel!
    We are about to move into our caravan with our 10 month old. We bought bunks but now seriously considering that cot 😮😮
    Thank you for easing our worry that we will be able to do this with a baby! 🙏❤️

    11:34 There are sevaral van options with bunks and a full separate shower/toilet ensuite. Good adaptions.

      How do you find replacement cylinders?

    • @ourrealitytravels
      @ourrealitytravels  3 года назад +3

      @@bmrt1000 we carry 2 60L cylinders and just make sure we replace them when we are in major towns. Never really had a drama.

    That shower with a bath base would be good for your little one I think

    • @ourrealitytravels
      @ourrealitytravels  3 года назад +1

      Absolutely. We actually just put a small inflatable baby pool on the bottom and fill with a few litres from the shower to give him a bath sometimes. It works perfectly.

    Great video! Would be interested to understand how much water you go through with the kitchen, shower and washing machine. How often do you need to refill and where do you get the water from?

    • @ourrealitytravels
      @ourrealitytravels  Год назад

      The washing machine is basically a no go when offgrid, unless you have access to water nearby to then fill with a water bladder. Just normal usage apart from washing machine we can get upto 5 days off the 180ltrs. This include very very modest showers each day (rinse, lather, rinse). Cheers, ORT.

    The tips in this video are excellent, I notified you mentioned a kettle that can be used on gas or electric/induction (I don’t recall) and I was wondering where I’d find one of these in Australia?

    • @ourrealitytravels
      @ourrealitytravels  2 года назад +1

      Hi Aspen, the whistling kettle we use is just a cheap one from a shop called RTM. It works a treat and multitasks for that purpose perfectly. Saves having to carry an electric kettle as well. I don't know if they are rated for use on induction but would be worth checking. Cheers, ORT.

      @@ourrealitytravels ah my apologies, I thought I heard you say you could use it on both gas and induction, it’s still an excellent idea for a duel purpose so thanks again :)

    is there a company that makes lift kits for the jayco line of vans ?

    • @ourrealitytravels
      @ourrealitytravels  2 года назад

      I'm not sure, I think the springs and shocks might be pedders from the factory? Perhaps check with them.

    Do you ever think of getting a bus and if so why did you decide on a van

    • @ourrealitytravels
      @ourrealitytravels  3 года назад +1

      We have discussed it, however we really love getting off road. Having the 4wd and van allows us to do that.
