I had never heard of RTX Voice before - this is going to be a game changer for sertting up my Wave 3. I've used a Blue Yeti and Voicemeeter for 3 years, and love the amount of control. Now my Yeti is finally crapping out...I'm pretty impressed with Elgato's features; they definitely kept streamers in mind. I own a streamdeck, so that's another plus. But the ONE thing I was worried about was no built in noise gate. So glad I found this video.
So my issue with this mic is that it keeps picking up the sound from my astro a50 headset as I am playing. Is there anyway I can fix this issue without having to lower my headset volume?
One thing that might help if you have an RTX 20/ 30 series graphics card is if you download and use the Nvidia broadcast app. It's a magical piece of software that removes almost all background noise from your mic by using some of the power of your graphics card to process the noise. It could definitely help remove your headset noise since it removes noise from an old janky fan of mine.
@@productofginger I found that NVIDIA Broadcast demanded at least 15-30% of my GPU with Noise Suppression active. Did you have the same issue? My stream struggles to render my frames whenever I use it, regardless of game graphical settings.

Does the discord noise suppresion remove keyboard clicks well? I’m looking into buying a microphone but I am too scared of the suppresion not removing my keyboard clicks
Be careful with the blue compass arm for this mic. The weight of the mic on its own is barely enough to counter the tension of the boom arm. The setup shown in your video is the basically the most bend I could get from the boom arm without adding additional weight. The Rode PSA1 is probably a better match for this mic.
@@TheProvokedPrawn I tried adjusting the tension screw to its absolute lowest before the screw itself came off and even that wasn't enough. I recently exchanged the Blue Compass for the Rode PSA1 and luckily the tension is just right for the lightness of the Wave 3. It's possible other's have had different experiences but this was mine.
So even if i turn down the Windows gain when i go to WaveLink's software it changes the Windows gain anyway. Is this supposed to happen or is there a way to fix this.

The way you set up RTX voice with the wave 3 bypasses the whole wave 3 software right? Like it just uses it as a mic and you'll be unable to use the channels/stream mix and play things like music through your mic channel/ playback your mic in your headset & other things like that?

i have putted the gain all the way down to 25 % i can still hear myu keyboard cause its right next to the mic and also i can barely hear my noise . its recommended the mic to be excatly next to the mouth and not on the desk like 0.5 meters away from you?
Could you use set the Wave 3 Monitor to RTX voice, then set the RTX voice to a Stem for the Wave Link and mute the Wave 3 stream, so you get the benefit of Wave 3, Clipguard, Wave Link software, and RTX Voice?
the wave link dial is now completly tied to the windows slider for gain so the beginning of this video is now kinda useless because of one of the newest updates
Great video as always, but the Wave 3 is horrible for any kind of post-processing. I find the wave-form is very lopsided, most of it above the mid-line -- which totally screws-up the way "normalize" or compression should work. I thought mine was defective, so I returned it for another one, and it was the same. There's a reason they sell if got streaming, not recording.

My wavelink gain messed up yesteday and seems to be broken. At 1:54 in your video, I have my Mic In set to 0% and I still hear my keyboard typing and regular background noise. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Tried to set up the RTXVoice exactly like this on my Wave 3. The issue I'm having is capturing my game, music & chat. When I add an aux, it captures my voice twice. Works fine when I bypass RTXVoice but you can hear everything. Was using RTXVoice on my Yeti since launch. Was really hoping to get it working with the Wave 3 :(
Wavelink and RTX voice are definitely compatible. I have it set up with my wave:3. Elgato even have this link help.elgato.com/hc/en-us/articles/360045220631-Wave-Link-Using-Wave-and-Wave-Link-with-NVIDIA-RTX-Voice about how to set it up.
Just make sure you mute your wave:3 mic from both the monitor and stream mix. Your mic will still capture audio but through RTX voice and only the RTX audio input will be heard by your stream mix.
4 me it is the Computer. My pc is based on airflow. I myself couldnt care less. But my yt videos are always bad in sound becase the wave 3 literally picks up every bit of noise
@@TheProvokedPrawn yea so I’m playing rogue company I see it come up in the windows app volume settings but when I move the dial up and down on the game input in wave link I don’t hear the volume changing in my headphones or the stream when I switch to that mix in wave link .. the dials are not doing anything 😞
@@TheProvokedPrawn so I figured out how to link the inputs to chrome and all the apps I want to use but if I close out of chrome and open it back up it resets and you have to link it all over again in order to control the mix again?

Do i have to do something through the app volume and device preferences? or no? In the wavelink software my mic is coming through the wave 3 input and the system input. Do you know why this happening? PLS REPLY bc i want to stream but i dont want to sound like shiiit And in streamlabs its also coming through the wave link stream and the mic but i only want it to come out of the mic. did i do something wrong. if so can you help
Heyy Provoked in the outputs in the wavelink software i put on rtx on but then i took it off. But when i press onto the stream mix it sound like the rtx is still on then i put it back onto the monitor mix and it sounds way different there's more background sound. And i tested both of the outputs out by clapping in front of the mic and the stream mix sounds way better. Did i do something wrong? Pls reply back and help AND ALSO I HAVE A ARCTIS 7 STEEL SERIES WIRELESS HEADSET IF THAT HELPS WITH ANYTHING
Apparently using RTX voice fan cause issues if you're applying it in certain ways as it'll apply noise cancellation to everything, not just the mic. So you might have to abandon that if you're streaming. The best thing to do is to use a boomarm and set the mic gain as low as possible.
I want to buy one and the wave 3 is all sold out but worried about getting wave 1 will I be able to remove background noise on that the same way as in video
Heyy man!! Thanks for the vid!!! I have a question tho. I live in a small apartment, so when my gf is watching tv you can hear it very good true the m,ic, also if im typinh its very loud... I tried everything, I put some filters into OBS and tried the Windows 10 settings. But its still not working :(. Also yesterday I tried it out for the first time and tried to talk with my friends true the game audio but the couldnt hear me, only a weird sound.. I fixt that but its weird that the bacround noice is still so loud. I hope you can help me
You probably need to get the mic closer to you and set the gain lower. It picks up a lot of background noise otherwise. A fists distance from your mouse and something like 20 gain might help keep noise out. As for in-game VOIP, you'd probably need to check the games settings, maybe it's trying to use another microphone?
I just can't get it right. Whenever i play a videogame and recording that game. I listen it back and the noise with the keyboard and mouse clicks are horrible. Can't suppres that. Any one can help me out with that?? what am i doing wrong

I added too many audio sources in OBS, but I don’t know how to remove them. I’m using regular OBS not streamlabs OBS

I have both and It works perfectly fine for me you might want to tension the stand more.
my rtx voice keeps force closing when i click on the mute background noise from the mic, any tips?
Is it really me effective using it upside down? Also I noticed that you didn't use the pop filter.

Yes. Nvidia Broadcast is a newer option.

The elgato wave fits with most of the boom arms out there due to the connector

If I go to sound in settings like you showed and go to additional device properties it only shows general listen levels and advanced.

No but you could use Nvidia Broadcast, RTX Voice or the gain adjustment and boom arm

Yeah Elgato made a point of telling me you can't really combine Wave Link and RTX Voice. Which is a shame.

For some reason my inputs are not working in wave link. When i got to choose my browser chrome is not in the windows settings you pull up
It has to be open and playing a source for it to appear.
