Great video! I started with just using the free versions on the actual talkto me in korean website.. they Even let you download the PDFs for free! I've bought several books now but I still enjoying reviewing the lessons for free on their site.
I've been studying a few weeks with these books now and I'm very happy with it. My honest opinion is that learning a language with a teacher is the easiest way, but if you don't have any other choice then TTMIK books are a bless❤️❤️
I just ordered all 9 levels of TTMIK, and it just arrived today- I'm so excited to start learning, but I'm nervous that even after all of my studying I still won't be fluent....
It takes a lot of practice to become fluent. These books will help you understand and learn grammar and grammar. It's up to you to use the knowledge in everyday life. If you keep doing that, eventually you'll become fluent🥰
It gives you vocabulary as well. You can also use 90daykorean or 101korean websites. Those are good too! What I meant is, you should also talk in Korean and practice conversations!😄 Or perhaps reading articles or the Korean newspaper once you get comfortable with reading in Korean. Those kinds of things will help you tremendously to remember everything you've learnt from the books.
I hope they'll help you as much as they helped me! Don't forget to check the Korean content that becomes available on your account at TTMIK, because I noticed they included more info and tests for the books!🥰
It‘s quite expensive, but trust me, so worth it! Depending on if you can afford it and if you’re really serious about learning Korean, you should totally go for it
Well, it's always good to practise and the fact that the workbooks have their own "check" system is very nice in combination with the text books. The only thing the workbooks don't have are reading exercises, so if you're looking for those then perhaps the workbooks aren't the best option. They do have listening exercises (you can download the audio files via your TTMIK account). I feel like the workbooks are supporting the textbooks for deeper understanding of the grammar and cultural aspects, but compared to the workbooks I got during my studies in Korea, I'd say the TTMIK workbooks are a bit simple. I would recommend them if you want to practise more, but in the end it's entirely up to you. I think there's also plenty of free exercises on the internet.
I was debating on whether or not buying the books but thanks to your vid I know for sure I want to purchase them. Do you by any chance have any update on your progress?
Hii! How exciting to hear you're considering the TTMIK books! I've been thinking of doing an update video once I finish all my books (I've been quite busy so I haven't finished them yet). But here's an update so far: the books gave me a much better understanding of Korean grammar and meaning (not only words, but also how and why sentences are build the way they are). There are funny jokes to keep the studying entertaining. I feel quite confident with reading and writing. There are also audio files, which help a lot with listening, but I think watching Korean movies, drama's or just Korean RUclipsrs contribute as well!! The only part that I'm not able to improve much is pronunciation. TTMIK offers classes online, which would make up for that, but I don't have the money to pay for it. They also have very useful videos on their RUclips, but there isn't someone to correct the pronunciation for you. For this it'd be best to get in contact with a Korean and call with them to practise speaking through a language exchange app. So all in all: I'm very happy with the books and TTMIK also provides further information and small 'exams', which you can find on your TTMIK account once you've bought the books. I've had Korean classes in Korea and even though learning Korean in Korea is the best and fastest way to learn, I didn't understand everything profoundly. I guessed things, which made me second-guess and I used a lot of grammar in the wrong way. TTMIK explains the meaning and way grammar works in a simple yet effective way. I have no regrets of buying the books. It's an investment for sure, but if it's something you truly want then I'd say it's worth the money.
Actually, their online studying material is pretty much the same as the books. It's just without the workbooks. I found this out after I bought the books, but if I had known I would've just studied online haha xd
I really want to do a video like that and I was planning on doing it 1 year later after I got the books! However, you can create an account on TTMIK website and if you look for the 'Essential Courses', that's actually the online version of the books. So, if you don't want to buy the books (because they are expensive with shipping costs 'n stuff), this could be a great other option! I didn't know about this when I bought the books, but I wish I had haha. The content is almost the same (but it doesn't include the practices from the workbooks). I hope this helps for now! 💕
@@diyadhankar2205 I can't, because it's a webpage you can only access once you have an account on ttmik. Here's what you need to do: create an account for free & log in. Quick question are those the only books you bought or did you buy more? Currently right now I learned Hangul so I was thinking if those books can help me go on from Hangul
Yes, those are the only books I bought. In the first level workbook there's Hangul included (not very extensively explained) and it goes from there with the textbook. It's starts with very simple grammar and builds up the difficulty with each level you finish. Let me know if you want to know more 😀
Hi! I have a question. When you bought these books, were you supposed to pay custom fees when the products arrived to your country? I’ve had a lot of bad incidents with custom fees ever since I arrived in the UK and ordered products from non-UK websites.
Heyy! I didn't have to pay for custom fees. This only happens when the customs choose to check your mail. Sometimes you get lucky and don't have to pay for it and sometimes you get unlucky. It's really hard to say when a package gets picked up by customs, so I can't guarantee that you won't have any custom fees because I didn't have them. I really do hope you'll be luckier and won't experience any bad incidents with customs in the future💕
I'd like to know about how many words we Can learn on the website, because I Don't Know How to search for courses ( I meant that there are many courses and I need to find a basic one)

Right now I just study through their website instead of using the books. However, I really do enjoy the other books I bought for conversation and reading practices!
Hi, I have question, I want to buy these too but where are the vocabulary for level 1? In the workbook in the text Book or in a Extra Book? Please answer

@@keisha7918 their website has all the materials from the books for free! So you can try studying there, and if you want you can buy the book (some people prefer having a physical copy, you know), so give it a try ^^
So would you recommend the workbook
It's great for extra exercises and the workbook of level 1 explains Hangul. The textbook explains the theory and has about 5 to 10 simple exercises. The workbook offers more exercises that are more in depth with what you just learnt. It's entirely up to you whether or not you want to practise more and if you want to spend the money. Personally I'm happy to have the workbook as I can practise to get a better understanding of vocabulary and grammar😊. But the TTMIK website and YT Channel also offers lessons and exercises. It's entirely up to you what you want!

Hii Harshu! Thank you so much for your comment! Unfortunately I'm not super good in Korean nor do I have the skills to teach Korean. If you wish to learn Korean I'd recommend the websites talktomeinkorean (they have free courses), 90daykorean and koreanclass101. Furthermore, there are many Korean teachers on RUclips! You could check them out as well :D
