  • Welcome to another Bedrock Edition tutorial! Today I show you how to build a NEW froglight Farm! frog light farms are SUPER easy to make, don't need any redstone, and are fully AFK! Frogs will be in Minecraft 1.19 the wild update! This farm produces around 1,800 froglights per hour, and about 350 magma cream per hour! Which is pretty much the max rates for this type of farm:) I hope you enjoy this mob farm! If you did consider leaving a like or sharing this with others 😊

These farms are SUPER duper easy :D I hope you enjoyed this tutorial! If ya did, do all the youtubey things! I'll have more tutorials releasing soon, stay tuned!:)
*If you want to make this work on java:* The spawning room needs to be an 11x11 square, not a diamond. And the iron golem needs to stand on the other side of the trapdoors, since they can't get into minecarts on java edition. Pretty small tweaks!

Works in 1.20, suggest making the frog chamber a block lower, so 5 blocks down instead of 4 as silent did as the frogs can sometimes have super jumps and jump out. Another change I made was have the collection chamber on the other side, so directly underneath the spawner, since I moved it another block down due to the frogs jumping out so I wasnt quite close enough to the spawner anymore so I just moved it to the other side underneath the glass and works fine now. You also get a good view of the magmas spawning above you.

  • @nazul70

Made this today and it still works absolutely amazing. Had a stack of each light in about a minute. Worst part was preventing the magma cubes from spawning. Ended up breaking my netherite helm and boots, almost my other chest and leggings, so be prepared to repair your gear or have burner gear. Absolutely worth the time and effort, still holds up even now. Thanks for the tutorial!

I absolutely love the shell of this farm because it perfectly fits the magma cream xp farm you posted a year before this, So I combined them that mine has two kill chambers that connect to the same output chest and it works like a charm. Producing cream, lots of froglights, and xp to start off my new nether base that's about 1300 blocks away from my old one I made in search of new features.

  • @GothBoyUK

I was concerned that you'd have to choose between a magma cream farm and a froglight farm (magma cube spawners can be rare) but it seems like you still get some cream drops with this design. Perfect! I just hope it's still possible when 1.19 releases. 👍

I'm just now getting back into MC after yet another long break and I'm about to set up this farm. Thankfully, like 200-250 blocks away from my main Nether Portal that connects to my base, is a perfect Bastion with a Magma Cube spawner at the bottom. Haven't bothered to touch anything in this Bastion asides from the nice neat pathway I made to safely get there for future use, almost 2 years ago. Thanks for the build, I'm sure it will work great and I already have a super convenient location to set this up ^.^

Just built in 1.19 survival multiplayer server and it works perfectly! I know silent mentions it, but spawn-proof the area as best you can before building. It really saves frustration. For transporting frogs (I had to move mine over 1,000 blocks), try to have an enclosed Nether tunnel wherever possible leading from the portal to the farm. With a lead attached you can sprint full out with a frog in tow. Good luck everyone!!!

  • @polkadad5168
    @polkadad5168 Год назад

Built in bedrock 1.19 with Nintendo switch on 12/17/2022. Built block for block but kept the kill chamber access door instead of filling it in. I grew 21 white frogs from tadpoles in the kill chamber prior to freeing up the spawner and it worked really well and was fairly quick. I already had a frog breeding area at my base that I used to make a manual farm a couple months ago so getting tads in buckets was fairly routine. This farm produces every bit and more of the advertised 1800 an hour. I'm getting 5x 64 stacks every 10 minutes of lights and around 60 cream. I built a portal near it in the treasure room to have close access to the overworld, hopefully they'll be biomes close to easily get some green and orange frogs in there.. Great build and very worth the time to build if you are wanting an abundance of lights. Bravo bravo... there's a lot of videos still out there that are broken but this is not one of them

  • @Nuklyhr

For anyone watching wanting to make this in Java as of 1.20.1:
The iron golem cannot go in the minecart, he will always climb out and walk around. Even making a 2x2 cage of glass walls there will not properly aggro the cubes, you'll have to stand roughly 1 block closer to the trapdoors than where the minecart slab is place, and go act as living bait and afk there. I would also say the farm is sufficient with only 3 frogs of each type, as I got over a stack of each froglight in about 10 minutes at most.

Excellent idea, may I suggest potions of fire resistance for an easier and more effective method for your next farm? Good news is the farm definitely works, just remember to get all 21 frogs. I'm hoping that by using so many frogs (which hopefully won't cause my console to lag a bunch either) they'll eat the magma cubes faster than they can spawn, keeping lag to a minimum.

Less than a week before 1.19 drops, so I went ahead and built this yesterday (or at least the parts that I could). I'm bummed that Mojang didn't add in Buckets of Frogs, but I went ahead and made sure my nether tunnel to the Bastion went by some Temperate and Cold overworld biomes so that I can transport the Frogs in as easy as possible... it's still going to be a pain, but I really want Froglights so it will be worth it.
Also, for those that are going to build this I highly, highly, highly recommend bringing a bunch of Fire Resistance potions to help you stay alive while you are disabling the spawner and filling in all the lava pits at the bottom of the Bastion. Built this, works great. Only thing I had to change was I raised the ceiling height by a few blocks. Occasionally, multiple magma cubes would spawn at once, and one would get pushed through the glass on the top. So I just raised the ceiling by 3 blocks and that seems to have fixed it

For java (Creme only) I was able to get it to work using wither roses (Cubes wouldnt jump in without carpets so couldnt put snow directly on hoppers). Wouldn't need wither roses once frogs are live,
Also needed to change out the trapdoors for fences. - two high so they could see the golems eyes.

Well the froglights are the only reason to build magma cube farms cause fire resistance and magma cream both can be easily obtained from piglins and each magma block vain in nether waste biome can have almost a stack of magma blocks.

  • @isaaclearningtominecraft4751

After building it myself, I've got a few hints.
First, if you find the lava too dangerous, there is a super safe way to avoid it. Simply get yourselves a piston and a button, and use it to push blocks into the ground until it won't move, for everywhere that the farm uses. You don't even get to see the lava before they are destroyed.
Second, your don't really need 21 frogs. 18 can definitely do it. If you really use 21, build a bit larger area for the powdered snow and hoppers, otherwise the frogs easily get squeezed out of the farm.
Third, don't enable the spawner when standing on the top. Even if you remove blocks from the bottom as suggested, magma cubes can still spawn in the blocks of the edge, jump up and attack you A half destroyed platform above powdered snow without an easy way out and with potentially a lot of magma cubes inside is not a safe place at all. Just break a few blocks from the corner of the farm and remove the blocks from there. Even if you get attacked, step back and you are absolutely safe again.
Finally, don't expect the frogs to last forever. They will eventually get lost. Not sure what's the reason.

    Hello there.
Did anyone else notice that the froglight farm seem to be broken since 1.20.30? Even the I have 21 frogs inside, they won’t eat the small slimes fast enough.
I even tried adding some extra frogs, without any effect
The frogs seem to be pushed into a single corner and they won’t eat or at least way slower than before

  • @thehunter8417

For disabling the magma cube spawner, you can just use 9 blocks above the spawner, one on top, one in each cardinal direction 2 blocks from the first one. This will completely disable the spawner and still works as of 1.20.5

  • @probablyaparent
    @probablyaparent Год назад +5

Things that helped me build this farm:
-having extra tadpoles. Bedrock glitched a frog or two out of existence when transporting them to the nether.
-so many fire resistance potions. For me AND the frogs. My nearest treasure bastion is over lava and needed around 1,000 gravity blocks to make safe. I splashed my frogs with a fire resistance potion when working around them in case of a lava breach.
-I built Silent's whole chunk slime farm and used that to quick grow up tadpoles to frogs in the nether. The other two I built a nether portal as close to the farm as possible and transported them to the relevant biomes (mountain top for cold green, prairie for regular orange). This made transport really, really easy.
-I named all the frogs their lights so I knew how many had been put in by the remaining name tags.
Overall a really easy farm to build, barring brutes and lava. Thanks Silent!

ilmango has a video where he shows a straight forward cube (11 wide, air gap of 3 above the spawner and a suitable drop to get them out of the spawner cap) with powdered snow and minecart with hopper running underneath the platform where the frogs were. I did that so I did not need to mess with Iron Golems. I know the spawning area in Bedrock and Java are different but a square looks nicer than a Diamond :). All up these frog light farms with spawners are mega efficient even if making a treasure bastion safe is a pain ;)

I got super lucky. I made a nether portal near the magma spawner and on the other side was a temperate biome, then found a jungle and snow biome bordering each other nearby. Built a nether portal at the edge of the two, put some tadpoles in water and walked the grown up frogs through the nether portal that links up with the nether portal near the spawner. Was super easy, barely an inconvenience. The hard part was waiting for the frogspawn to turn to tadpoles.
