Thank you for sharing your field adventures with us, I always enjoy the journey of discovery. Kicking it off with an incredible start, cheers to a fab 2024 🥳
Happy New Year indeed!! 😂😁 And Happy St. Valentine's Day to boot. 🥰😉 Excellent start to 2024. So nice to see you again, Ed. Clearly you've survived all the terrible storms that have recently blown through the U.K. 😲😬😝 I wish you good luck on locating a new detecting ground. See you next time. 😘🤗💖👍👋
The hammered Saxon was a great find. The other coin was nice also. Spoon fragment was nice also. This field will remembered as a “hammered field” for sure. Good to see you again, Ed. See you on the next. Cheers Ed! 🇬🇧🙂👍🇺🇸
Went in search of a new video from you Ed. Found this one, which somehow I had missed, but sorry to see nothing posted since. Hope all is well and some new material posted soon. Some great finds in this one - love the Cnut.
Thanks, I have been extremely busy and bought my first house so not had any time to get out but things are settling down a bit now so hopefully I will get out soon on some new land 🙂
Great stuffs, and loved the bells! Sweet of you to leave the field for someone else, but it seems to be the gift that keeps on giving!😅 Sheebs say, stay! 🌞
I honestly dug about 10 positive targets in about 3 hours and my ears took a beating listening to the iron tones 😅 I never really dig iron but perhaps this spot might be a good one to just dig all iron one day and see what there might be, maybe a sword or something cool? 😂
@@VintageParagonUk a smaller coil might be worth trying. It could help pick out targets between the iron. We have one permission if about 20 acres and we've spent 100s and 100s of hours there. Stuff still pops up now and then. I wouldn't stop going until there were no more signals.
Insane. It is INSANE that you can find stuff like that in a played out field. Can I be you when I grow up?... grow down?... Let's just say I would give my left something or other to be able to find coins like that! 😁
@@VintageParagonUk Yes! I haven't been back to the UK since I started detecting, and I absolutely can't wait to get back there one of these years. I know you put in a lot of time and swinging to make your videos. I have no illusion that ALL you find are amazing coins. But yours is my favorite detecting channel because your videos are fun and well made, and you do find amazing stuff.
Great find, Saxon pennies are always special. I wouldn't give up on the field just yet, perhaps digging and removing the iron in really bad spots and using a small coil to pick out finds in amongst it might pay off. I got my first Saxon penny that way, in amongst a load of scrap including a burnt out car!. Hard work but for a Saxon penny or something else special?
What a great start to the year, congratulations on the finds 🎉👏❤️
Thanks Chris 😁👍

Well we will see 🙈 thanks Sheebs 😁
You'd be crazy to write off that field. That's a lot of good targets. Any one of the scrap targets could've been something good.
