I’m so proud to be from Memphis watching this interview. Thank you Tay Keith for taking yourself serious and overcoming your circumstances! Pure motivation!
This man is 26 with commercial real estate, Diamond record/records in the music industry, money invested in crypto, money in the stock market and I’m sure with many more business ventures that he didn’t name. I am 25 years old and literally plan on doing everything he doing minus the producing because I rap but the point is this man is ahead of his time and on top of his shit. Also wild that he mentioned making a substantial amount by 30 because that’s when I said I would be a multi millionaire. Also Shout out to Troy,Rashad, and can’t forget the red panda for just being so consistent and always being for the culture. Soon I’ll get to tell this to you guys in person Much love, P.Woods
Mustard was already onna map before 2015, really 2012.. It was 2010 the first time I heard a mustard beat. working wit (obviously) YG, RJ, Nipsey etc... The tag was already solidified and it was "instrumental" to every song..... just like the "just blaze" tag.
Nashville was coined “The Music City” because of the Fisk Jubilee singers and not country music. Also a lot people say you don’t need college but I can tell which people in the industry benefited from college.
Great interview. I like when the producers get to speak. I feel like they are rarely heard. Side note: is this first time Shotty said the N word on camera?
Memphis, Tenn, Arkansas, Mississippi is a totally different culture. It’s a definitely a bubble culture. You don’t see outside of it and others don’t see in it.
Man am I too old, how come 8Ball and MJG didn’t hit the top of the list of artist from Memphis. I have only been to Memphis twice and know they are legends.

I’m glad he talked about his college degree! That’s amazing! College is not a waste.
The earliest tag I could think of would be Just Blaze but I’m the UK 🇬🇧 you we always behind US news 💯🐝

S/o Tay Keith, dope episode! Gotta run it back.
Just Blaze was one of the early producers that used a tagline for sure…

Tay is dope! He has an amazing mind and spirit ✨️
808 Mafia had to be the first producers with Tag Lines, that whole Waka Flocka era
I’d say Just Blaze had the first tag line.
EYL Team, I Gotta be apart of the Cooking Show, Love it Mane -)
Earliest producer tag I can think of is Dilla with the siren tag in the 90s

He mentions God. 🅿️🅿️🅿️
He educating y’all showing y’all why that NY bias is real 😂😂😂 “Y’all gotta do y’all research”
Mike Will is the first producer to use a tag line I think
No it was around in the 90s and 2000s. David Banner for example when you hear that he's rapping on the beat on made the beat for other rappers.
Soulja boy Tell em - First producer to tag a beat 😅
My guy said everybody except Stan G
