I cancelled my sub to Surfer magazine when they, for some stupid reason, showcased this spot, including exact rare swell direction/size to make it not close out and do this instead, along with a map. FFS it's their own backyard. It was NEVER this crowded before that.

@David Cilantro it's rights off point at salt creek in dana point. It's about as secret a spot as Disneyland, so I'm not ruining anything for anyone. Plus, rights off point breaks maybe 4 days a year.
There’s always been a pack on it when it’s firing since the ‘90s. Surf mag blowing up secret spots IS bad form, but this spot is no secret. 🤙🏼
