One time I stepped into some used chewing gum and went flying down the lanes. But I released the ball and got the big four split. But because I fouled I had to have the pins reset and after changing to a house pair of shoes I got all ten pins for a spare. I was young so I didn't get hurt thank God.
There's a few different reason. Most commonly is when you bowl several games in a day your thumb begins to swell causing it to become tighter in the thumb hole. There are ways to avoid it and get a better release, most people use baby powder to allow the thumb to slide out easier. Hope this helps.
@@user-pl4iq3sb6vit also happens sometimes when the bowlers get distracted, (by various things), and try to stop and reset. Chris Barnes and Sean Rash (both in the video) do that all the time.
That last guy was hilarious
That's Mike machuga doing the machuga flop.
And it wasn't unintentional, it was his celebration on winning a tournament.
That last guy took off like superman. Lol
The last one was the sort of thing I would see in a Saturday morning cartoon
Didnt think it was possible to do what the last guy did, something out of fiction 😂 that was sick!
Michael Haugen Jr does this on purpose all the time for fun.
That was Mike Machuga, not Haugen.
@@kevinrussell5099 correct....
I remember seeing the machuga flop on live tv, that was dope
Gotta feel for Blanchard. That looks very painful. And to do it in a crowd and televised, that just sucks
Yah
Not only that, it was his FIRST televised appearance, AND he shot 139, poor guy :(
I wonder just HOW long his back hurt after THAT one.! Ouch! 😬
And if he would have held onto the ball, instead of setting it into the gutter, he wouldn’t have fouled. Insult to injury!
Choogs with the Chuga Flop; ALMOST right up with with PDW and "Who do you think you are..."! 😉
Lol not even close
Over the line Smokey!
Mark it 8 😅
I had a friend in the audience when Blanchard fell. YIKES!
I heard a few kids laughing after he fell
The last one was a little funny that the ball took him down the lane
I wonder if Mike Machuga wore a cup when he did the Machuga flop? Lol looks like it hurts so bad and he did it all the time! Lol

That’s what we call a happy accident. Lol. Rather have a clean rack for the spare, than the double pinochle!
I wouldn’t call Chris Barnes’s a blooper his hand he said it himself “that wasn’t on purpose”
I highly recommend putting the last one at .5 speed lol you're welcome
Yooooooooooooooooooooooo lol
I feel like you could fake a foul and walk all over the oil if you wanted to mess up your opponents line
Why didn't they let go of the ball?
It was accidental
Third guy did it on purpose ?
I don’t know
It's called the machuga flop
Absolutely on purpose
@@dougprw1110 that’s funny
@@Best_of_Bowlingyes, he did on purpose. Machuga Flop. Just wrapped up the championship win so he did it
Oh thanks ! Now I'll have that in the back of my mind ! Lol. Not !
Hi, are you NOT supposed to let go of the ball??????????????????
Sometimes the ball doesn't let go of you. For real...
Thats why u dun bowl with a thumb in the bsll
Try doing that 1 handed and see what happens
Why didn’t the second guy hold onto the ball?
Oh he was gonna lose anyways but still
why does this happen? poorly drilled ball?

@@user-pl4iq3sb6v thanks for explanation 👍

I'm pretty sure baby powder is illegal to use. If some of it gets in the approach someone could get hurt from to much slide.
@@arthurr7866you can use slide or rosin in your thumb hole but only off of the approach.
