Hi Paddy, that "rickety old bridge" is a British Army "Bailey Bridge", which is an engineering marvel.
My father died a month after The Queen also at age 96. He was in The Royal Engineers and built numerous bridge
towards the end of WW2, mostly across the Rhine. They can be found all over the world. Best wishes from Bangkok.

Travel tip; Get a money belt
It can be worn under your clothes. It has a zipper, so nothing falls out. It may be a bit inconvenient, but you can carry a small amount of money and maybe one card in a regular wallet while keeping everything else safely strapped to your body. I especially like it in airports and train stations where I know I may have to show id while also keeping track of bags, etc.
Also, keep money in different places. I once lost my wallet in a taxi in Madrid. Luckily, I had cash in a pocket and in a carry-on. All I had to do was go to the consulate to get a new passport. It took 48 hours. That's not normal, but they can do it in an emergency.
Thank you for this wonderful tour in a very attractive country I can't wait to visit.

Ya did it AGAIN! Conqueror ⭐️⭐️⭐️of fears 🎉🎉🎉now I gotta admit heights not a problem, but that zip line part?!?! Insanity climbing like mountain goats and the ladders omg! Not because I’m afraid but I have trouble ‘trusting’ how strong and effective humans are and don’t always ‘anchor’ things properly. Will say that metal ladder thingy would be a major challenge for me-too many things I don’t like about it. And then what if you get stuck??? Lol I’ve always wanted to zip line but that one is intense! Kudos! Hope Tim found his wallet. Did he find it-enquiring minds need to know! Epic run that loop! Safe travels. Thank you 🙏🏻❤️❤️❤️
