18:58 I'm Russian and I don't understand why they swapped the names of the characters in the intro, it's strange because other languages don't have anything like that. But in all episodes the characters have their names as in the original.
The intro sings: Зайди в лентяево, наш маленький городок - come to the lazy town, our little town.
Злой Робби свой готовит план, но Спортакус тебя спасёт - Robbie Rotten is preparing a plan, but Sportacus will save you.
Стефани приедет к нам, и сразу заведёт друзей - Stephanie will come over and make friends right away.

Thank you so much for the lyrics and the translation here for the Russian version, and also for information about why they mixed up the names which I found the most funny about this version lol. This version was pretty good to listen to otherwise (the singing at least I enjoyed personally) ^^

@@AsapToastyysDubs I think the show was originally in English it just used Icelandic actors you can tell because in the Icelandic dub the talking doesn’t match the lip-syncing
@@Jaysterrr Yeah. It seems like in that dub they redid the lip syncing even to make it seem more natural to Icelandic. That's actually how I got the impression that the show was dubbed in Icelandic initially because of the way the dubs differed in terms of lip-syncing and such, and also the actors and crew who made this being mainly of Icelandic nationality ofc

Yes RIP Robbie. It honestly breaks my heart to remember that it's been a little over 3 years now since his passing, especially given the great lengths and support he's received in his 4 year fight with it. It's good to have memories of these cherished times however. Also greetings from US!

I'm not sure which one airs in USA I think it's the Los Angeles Spanish Dub since it has spanish voice actors that dub in USA. They also did the Original Transformers Dub in 1980s and dubbed the marvel Animated movies in 2000s-2010s
I think the la spanish dub was used on lazytown for mi telemundo blocks
It aired on Telemundo in the U.S, for the weekenf morning preschool block "MiTelemundo," I'm not sure if it's still airing. It was likely the LA (Miami?) dub in that case.

@@Nothingtoput Yeah. It would feel right if they had all of the Nordic languages dubbed for this series, them being Danish, Norwegian, Swedish, Icelandic ofc, Finnish arguably and now Faroese. Dutch and Flemish can maybe be considered too

Yep :/ For some reason they just used the English (US) intro PAL pitched, although they did change the voices and some words in the episodes (or at least the first one)

Fun fact: The opening is sung by Santiago Retti, a famous chilean singer who also provided Sportacus' singing voice
The Miami one has some differences (like saying bienvenidos in plural) but they are really minor

I didn't know you were from Chile and greetings from the US ^^ His voice sounded so good in this dub, and I'm amazed that they got him involved in this dub to also sing songs from Sportacus also, it just all sounds really great. I found it interesting too how in the Miami dub they say "bienvenidos" plurally, I wonder why they had done so and the differences there made this dub also fun to hear, especially comparing it with this and the other Latin Spanish version from Venezuela here too

Why does this show have two separate dubs for Dutch as spoken in the Netherlands and for Flemish? It’s not like they’re as different as European Portuguese and Brazilian portuguese

I agree and many of the dubs here sounded so well imo, and I think in Catalan they do say "Vilamandra" and the title of the show there refers to the town like that apparently which I found interesting lol

English music has a issue it is a bit high pitch
Yeah. I feared that they would've taken it down for the English version in regular pitch, seeing how Viacom had something to do with distributing this series in the US. LazyTown in general tho seems pretty laxed on copyright so maybe I could've been safe

Where is the Japanese version?
There wasn't a Japanese version of this series' theme song either unfortunately. I don't think any songs (or the series itself) was even dubbed in Japanese
If you doubt it’ll get popular on any network in Kagoshima Prefecture due to having a lack of popularity in Kagoshima (and other prefectures), l’ll think it’s definitely the best show on Icelandic television!

From what I heard English was actually dubbed from Icelandic, the original version of this series. I typically put the original language of the series before any other dubs
The original is English, but they filmed the show in Iceland.
