Thank you so much for this! I adjusted the dimensions to make a Kindle pouch. I couldn't find any patterns where the zipper curves around the top so this was a great starting point. :)
This was really helpful. I might suggest a bit of hand basting of the zipper around the curve. Then you don't have to worry about pins. Quilters tape might work too.
New laptop arrived yesterday! (I’d Inherited my dads old one that’s 9yrs old!) So excited and now to see this tutorial Sarah...I’m on it and can’t wait to get going! Thanks! X
Wadding/batting... used by quilters to layer between the outside fabrics. Fusible foam would work too.. it will be bit thicker to use but nice good protection. Fusible fleece would be another option. Enjoy and so glad you liked the tutorial. x
I would suggest the simplest way would be to stitch one to each side from the front all the way through to the inside and add them patch style rather than tucked inside any seam. Does that make sense? Xx
Yes you could Debbie... you might just want to think about whether you wanted the stitching for the handles to appear all the way through to the inside. Xx
Glad you enjoyed the tutorial... to sew up the lining you can either hand sew or machine sew. If you watch the video for the faux leather zip purse you can get more detail there but the choice is yours. xx

Great video, thank you (but I do wish you’d remove the pins before you sewed over them, I was so worried you’d break your needle!)
So glad you liked and it and sorry about the pins! x
I did, and about to make a case for my husband, but in an iPad mini size. Thank you!
Can I use either a closed end or open end zip? And should the zip itself be 19" plus the ends?
The length of the zipper is stopper to stopper and you could use either style of zipper. Hope this helps and would love to see a pic! x

What is wadding? This is a Great tutorial. I’m going to use fusible foam and am wondering if it’s the same/similar.

Love this! Question though - how do you sew up the opening in the lining once you've pulled everything through?
