    I knew if I came here I'd find a case for my new laptop that doesn't involve a complicated zipper gusset, or binding!! Thank you. I'll be making this this weekend.

    I should have read Michelle's comment first. Great minds think alike. And I like the idea of some kind of pocket for cords or pad and pen.

    Ohhh…another cracking idea. Turned out really nice and a very easy sew too. For a laptop that’s wide, you could also make it the other way round so it was longer than it is wider for the cross body wearability. You could also add a little pocket on the front or back for your cable/charger. I love watching your show because your items always generate many ad on options to amp up the design if you chose too. Thanks for another great show⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

      Great idea Michelle. Having it the other way round would also be good for books as well 😀

    Great fabric; love how you quilted along the printed ‘lines’. Good call. Yes, it is a bit wide; consider flipping the laptop 90º. It’s still a bit big for a crossbody, but perhaps a large man could carry it. For quick reference, do a specifications search of your laptop’s make and model. In under 10 seconds, I had a diagram of my iPad on my screen with all the specs, including weight, in both metric and imperial. If you’re making these for the most popular brands and models, simply google, take a screen shot, and hit print. You’re welcome.😊

      Thanks for the Google tips Sharon. In hindsight, I should have changed the orientation of the bag😀

    Very good, thank you for the sizing tips. If you were carrying a few things you'd find that the size of the bag was great as it would free up at least one hand.

    This couldn’t come at a better time. My grandson loved your outside fabric. He said that’s the fabric I want. I just said to him this morning that I gotta make a portable DVD player holder for him. It’s in the box when we are not making long trips camping or traveling to see far away family. He has the box all tore up. This will be perfect. Now how do I make a pocket on the side for wires and all. I don’t want it on the front. (I think)…lol! Or I could just make it a little bigger and lay the cords in there. Great video as always! 😁

    • @ChristinesHomeAffairs
      @ChristinesHomeAffairs  2 года назад

      I might have to work on another with a pocket somewhere Michelle. How about a small pouch that you can clip to the side of the bag for the leads? 😀

      @@ChristinesHomeAffairs that’s an idea. I didn’t think of that! Thank you! I was so excited when I saw you had a video up. Makes my day to see what you have come up with. But this was perfect timing for me! He has already asked if I had it done, but I have to wait until school starts before I can work on it. (He and I usually have to go on some sort of stuffed animal adventure, or a car town experience-always something leaving me no time to enjoy my sewing. He’s only this age once-I can enjoy sewing when he wants nothing to do with his old grandma when he gets older.. lol). Thanks again!!!

    Christine,
    Another great tutorial! For a laptop that wide, what if you were to make the width the length and the length the with... Confused, sorry. Just that it could be a deeper bag and not as wide. I think that will be the way I make mine, it is a large laptop too. I like the idea of the cross body or at least a good size strap. It seems there is always more to carry with only two hands. 🌞But wonderful idea and easy to do.
    Thank you.
