I knew if I came here I'd find a case for my new laptop that doesn't involve a complicated zipper gusset, or binding!! Thank you. I'll be making this this weekend.
Ohhh…another cracking idea. Turned out really nice and a very easy sew too. For a laptop that’s wide, you could also make it the other way round so it was longer than it is wider for the cross body wearability. You could also add a little pocket on the front or back for your cable/charger. I love watching your show because your items always generate many ad on options to amp up the design if you chose too. Thanks for another great show⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Great fabric; love how you quilted along the printed ‘lines’. Good call. Yes, it is a bit wide; consider flipping the laptop 90º. It’s still a bit big for a crossbody, but perhaps a large man could carry it. For quick reference, do a specifications search of your laptop’s make and model. In under 10 seconds, I had a diagram of my iPad on my screen with all the specs, including weight, in both metric and imperial. If you’re making these for the most popular brands and models, simply google, take a screen shot, and hit print. You’re welcome.😊
I love this!! My daughter has asked me to make her one, and i had no clue how to, until your video. The tape idea is brilliant. I didn't even know there was such a thing. Thank you so much! I'm going to give it a shot😊
Hi Christine and special hello to Coco. Love the laptop bag, very well made, you are always so clear and priciest with your measurements and explanation on how to make each item. Thank for this 🥰
Very good, thank you for the sizing tips. If you were carrying a few things you'd find that the size of the bag was great as it would free up at least one hand.
This couldn’t come at a better time. My grandson loved your outside fabric. He said that’s the fabric I want. I just said to him this morning that I gotta make a portable DVD player holder for him. It’s in the box when we are not making long trips camping or traveling to see far away family. He has the box all tore up. This will be perfect. Now how do I make a pocket on the side for wires and all. I don’t want it on the front. (I think)…lol! Or I could just make it a little bigger and lay the cords in there. Great video as always! 😁
@@ChristinesHomeAffairs that’s an idea. I didn’t think of that! Thank you! I was so excited when I saw you had a video up. Makes my day to see what you have come up with. But this was perfect timing for me! He has already asked if I had it done, but I have to wait until school starts before I can work on it. (He and I usually have to go on some sort of stuffed animal adventure, or a car town experience-always something leaving me no time to enjoy my sewing. He’s only this age once-I can enjoy sewing when he wants nothing to do with his old grandma when he gets older.. lol). Thanks again!!!
Thank you for another idea I have learnt alot from you. I am enjoying making all sorts. I thought I would make a peg bag but use it for money where I do my craft fair. Make it smaller thanks again
Such fun fabric! Love it. I really like how you’ve layered the panels to stitch n turn out. Terrific!! I think I’ll interface my outside fabric and use thin-ish foam instead of wadding. I have a small iPad Air. Wonderful of you to share your incredible talent! Thank you ❤️
I love love your work! When I eventually start selling it will be all thanks to you. I was wondering do you have any ideas on how to make a typical school book bag. Not a sling book bag but the type they ask for in Nz schools if that mes sense 🤔 thanks again for your tutorials and inspiration.
Christine, Another great tutorial! For a laptop that wide, what if you were to make the width the length and the length the with... Confused, sorry. Just that it could be a deeper bag and not as wide. I think that will be the way I make mine, it is a large laptop too. I like the idea of the cross body or at least a good size strap. It seems there is always more to carry with only two hands. 🌞But wonderful idea and easy to do. Thank you.
I love it when Coco makes and appearance. Such a sweet and adorable dog
She brings us so much joy Ramona 😀

That sounds like a great plan. Happy sewing!😀
I should have read Michelle's comment first. Great minds think alike. And I like the idea of some kind of pocket for cords or pad and pen.
Thanks Karen. I think a detachable pocket will work too 😃

Great idea Michelle. Having it the other way round would also be good for books as well 😀

Thanks for the Google tips Sharon. In hindsight, I should have changed the orientation of the bag😀

I might have to work on another with a pocket somewhere Michelle. How about a small pouch that you can clip to the side of the bag for the leads? 😀

Thanks Tina. It's a good quick one to make 😀
Love it! I learned another use for washable quilt tape from you.Thank you so much!
Glad it was helpful Loraine. I use it most days for so many things 😀

COCO is a big help!
Haha, she certainly thinks so😄😄

Thanks Cyn. The foam would be a great idea. It seems to be very popular. I must get myself some 😀
Thank you very much ❤ very good result ❤
Thank you Ebru😀
Love it Christine! Thank you
Thank you Judy 😀
I may try this with a pillowcase -- I think the measurements will be pretty close!
That's a great idea Lori 😀
Fantastic! Your such an inspiration.
Thank you Janet! 😊

Thanks Tamlyn. I've added the book bag to my list. I'll give it some thought 😀
I am in the midst of making this for a smaller laptop, will let you know if I succeed!
Would love to see the finished product Margaret 😀

Thanks Karen. I agree, the other orientation would work well too. Especially if you wanted to add books, papers etc 😁
clear instructions thank you
Thanks Melanie 😀
Nice little wallet thank you for sharing.x
You’re welcome Karen. Thank you😊
love the fabric
Me too sandy. The colours are great 😀
I would love to just have a day in your presence. You are so amazing!
Oh WOW, what a lovely thing to say Emma. Thank you 😊
Emma, I totally agree! We would learn so much with all of her awesome knowledge. Let alone play fetch with Coco!! ❤️🐾
@@ChristinesHomeAffairs you sew rock lol
@@michelleraisner8686 for sure
@@michelleraisner8686 haha, Coco would love that 😂
Great projekt😊 thanks
Thanks Suzanne😀
Thanks Christine... I love this project! What do you think you would sell this for?🥰
I've only made the one Sue, but I'm going to try it in the shop for $30 AU. That's without the cost of fabric as it was free to me 😀
@@ChristinesHomeAffairs I agree with you. I think $30.00 but I don't believe I would sell any cheaper for a smaller size, what do you think?
Thank you
You're welcome Cynthia 😀
Is the formula W χH or W+H? It’s written differently in the video x
Oops. It should be Width x Height, and Depth x Height 😀
@@ChristinesHomeAffairs thank you so much. I love your videos ❤️ thank you for taking time to reply x
I made one with 2.5 inch squares for a friend. It turned out really well. I wanted to post a photo, but it wouldn't let me.
If you're on Facebook, you can share your photos in our group. "Christine's Home Affairs ". Everyone would love to see it 🙂
@@ChristinesHomeAffairs I'll do that, thanks! Mine doesn't have a strap, though.
I Love Your Videos!!! However, your Beautiful Voice is so hard for Mr to hear!!!
Sorry about that Pam. I'm trying to fix that 😀
