You know, I disagree with all those who think Tony had a great character development. Going from a selfish, playboy billionaire to the heroic Tony Stark we know and love. I don’t think that’s true, no, not at all. Tony Stark always was a hero, character development means that the character changed through experiences and interactions with its surroundings... often we portray this development as positive but that doesn’t seem to be the case, just as it isn’t the case with Captain America (He always was the Cap, it wasn’t the serum, it was the man underneath) Just like that Tony was always this, he had character reveal not development. All he had was a single epiphany in the cave in Iron Man 1 when he realized that the weapons he created to protect the people were being used to do the exact opposite. He realized that he got it all wrong, that he had to step up and step in to protect the world, that he had to do better, that he had wasted his life until now because he thought making tech and living a luxurious life was enough but it wasn’t. You see, just like James Bond or Batman, Tony didn’t have a character development moment which specifically told him to drop his luxurious playboy lifestyle in favor of something greater than himself. No, he just dropped it when he realized he had to do more. Which shows that Tony Stark wasn’t ever an apathetic playboy, that was the mask he was wearing just like Bruce Wayne. This is what I think makes Tony so much greater than everyone else. Everything he is, he is because he cares and because he chooses to do whatever he wants to. He wanted to protect people, so he made all the tech we call him Tony Stark for. He’s better than even Captain America because he didn’t get gifted anything, he worked through a decade of sleepless nights to invent technology capable of giving Highly Advanced Alien technology a run for its money. That’s Tony Stark.
This is best 😭😭😭... I don't know why but whenever I watch this video.... I'm just filled with energy! Iron man is my favourite character and you're my favourite editor!
Okay the Sacrifice Play rant playing over his death in Endgame sent me
