Thanks to Martin, Ed and the entire team over at Seattle Yachts, I was able to gift Shawn a YACHT for Christmas this year! Well, kind of. Awesome boat and way over my budget, let's dream 😉. What I definitely would do is change teak to flexiteak (If I am writing it correct). Less hassle with refitting the teak deck. Just a dream really.

Thank you for the great detailed review. This is a great Nordhavn design. 1) galley on the starboard side with side access door, 2) across from the galley on the port side is day head, 3) dual main engines - why don't more Nordhavn's have these and NOT those Detroit diesel engines
I'm not knocking the different styles of people that review boats, but it was great to get a tour from a person that has a boat and knows what he's talking about. Some people get excited by the galley, or the cabins, or the speed etc...Shawn did a great job and stopped and explained everything I'd be interested in if I was there. Outstanding. Can I give this a 5 star review or just 1 thumb up. Thanks.

Up until today Nick from Aquaholic was my favorite for yacht walk through. Shawn has even surpassed him in my opinion. This has to be the best walk through I've seen to date. Nordhavn should consider Shawn for all their marketing videos. Well done.
Difficult to choose today; Nick just put up a video with a Fleming 65. No hot tub though ;-)
Shaun did a great job. When someone has specifics on the brand of the retractable power cord reel you know he knows his stuff.

Wow, I am so taken a back at how some comments are dissing Shawn. I was totally inspired to comment because having watched some of your videos, I was very impressed with his tour. And enjoyed it very much. Of course the boat was amazing, but Shawn is very knowledgeable and just was very personable. Btw, loved the video where you made your driftwood sign. 👍❤️😊
Great tour and you show that your knowledge of the brand. Nice to see a Nordhavn with side decks and boarding on both sides. In tidal northern Europe we need that flexibility for harbours with locks and mooring along side. Good job and Merry Christmas, now if my numbers come up?

You guys need to do more boat reviews because your really good at it......
Shawn, you missed two of the benefits of wet exhaust, 1) With the exhaust being pointed out and down near the waterline, the soot and fumes have no impact on the outdoor spaces on board. 2) The wet exhaust systems actually mean the engines do not need DPF or DEF systems, the raw water being introduced to the exhaust gases actually does the same as either system. The 3rd and possibly the biggest benefit, you don't have as much cleaning to do on the upper decks from the exhaust.
Something most people miss about wet exhaust, the gases are food for the plankton in the sea water, by dumping it right above the water it helps the plankton feed and produce oxygen.
I'm not a fan of the big empty fore-deck space, I would rather see the superstructure extending there making a larger boat deck possible aft of the flying bridge.

Have you considered a career change? That was a very good walk through, I’ve watched actual yacht sales tour that wasn’t near that good. You seemed prepared and knowledgeable and the videography was also well done. And I must say seeing you sitting in the empty hot tub with the cover only half off very funny. Not sure if you were try for that but I thought it was. A couple of questions, 1 how tall are you? I’m thinking +6’ ? I have a friend who’s 6’9” wondering if he would fit? 2 was there any other cabins for a captain or crew? Very enjoyable 😊 Thank you very much
Haha yes that hot tub shot was pretty funny! He’s 6’3” so I think someone 6’9” would be tight. There’s no separate crew or Captains quarters, but there is the off watch berth behind the pilothouse seating that’s quite spacious and can be draped off. The great thing about this boat is that it’s very doable for two people to run, so crew isn’t necessarily needed.

If you could afford to buy this boat would you? Would you feel the maintenance and upkeep would be more than you would want to handle? Would you be comfortable cruising this boat with just the two of you?

I think the 68 is the best looking model in the Nordhavn line. Like it without a flybridge though. It would seem less top heavy.
First off, Happy Holidays, you two! Nice tour! I would t mind swing some more tours- especially when not boating. Beautiful ship. I think this would make the list of a lot of your followers. The only thing, was the when I saw the headliner, my first thought was the labor involved in removal and reinstall if you need to access anything behind it. My one complaint about Nordhavn’s is the size of swim platform- not sure if it’s the video angles, but they don’t seem to be that wide. Especially, if you are going scuba diving. Throw two people fully decked out, and it might be a little tight. Love the rest of the boat.
BTW, I thought tradition dictated that when you rename a boat that you removed all references to previous name- I though I saw some pieces with previous name.

You did a terrific job on that boat tour. I'm sure the owner and broker loved it. I'm amazed at how much you knew and/or had to learn to do such a professional job. Elizabeth may have secretly bought it for you but you won't know for sure until Christmas.

Great review going full nerd excellent for the us mechanical nerds ,maybe not as good as Aquaholic Nick, I think it might be the accent and he would be saying Very Nordhavn. Or Victoria from Nautistyles and again it is the accent and Rico's camera skills. Just a observation maybe with a boat this large you two could share camera time with Elizabeth covering points of interest to her also.
Seriously, Shawn is so easy to buy for! Did you watch this Elizabeth? I mean really watch him? His eyes dilated, his nostrils flared... his breath caught in his throat... He wants, I mean really needs, that special something! Get him a giant oil talk for clean oil and a storage tank for waste oil. He got strangely excited... oddly distracted, talking about the valves on the oil changing system.

Best Nordhavn ever and one of the best yacht videos made. Full side decks are a must in my opinion. Meal should be Cucumber sandwich appetizers, baked Fillet of Sole main course with a nice moscato and Tiramisu served with Espresso for dessert.
Great tour and knowledge of the boat systems and the brand. Cool shots and cinematography too. I would say the jump cuts in the editing make it hard to follow the tour throughout the boat and get an idea where everything is in relation to each other. I do however love the cuts ins and cut outs between shots. Really gives the video movement. Great job!!! 👏

This has been the best walkthrough I have seen, relaxed but informative. Unlike other walkthroughs there is the underlying 'sales' function. This video is a Captain showing what is really important to him and a user without the fluff involved in a sales pitch. Well done guys and I hope that Nordhavn shows you some gratitude. ;-)

Yes it was! He’s always a good sport to give viewers a laugh now and again.
Passerals are for the Mediterranean, where there is little tide. Most of Europe is side too just like most of the States and Canada. Shawn has sold be the boat anyway, just need to make a couple of million and I will be straight back. Your about using boats, ask for the boat for a couple of days to go somewhere.

Then, I would move on to grilled sockeye and Yakima asparagus along with sauteed purple potatoes, crab legs and an Okanogan Chardonnay. Desert? I'm thinking a marionberry sorbet. Oh, and don't forget a 12-pack of Rainier for the jacuzzi!

Hi Shawn -- I loved the video and I guess Elizabeth will have earned quite a few house points with her 'gift'. With all the electronic aids on board do you think it would it be possible for just the two of you handle this beautiful yacht? Also, would you run both generators at the same time (i.e. 20 + 25 kwh = 45kwh) or is the second one simply for backup in case of a malfunction? I've not previously seen a boat with carpet in the engine room! You are definitely a more compelling sales adviser than most I've seen on RUclips. Merry Christmas from the UK.
Yes this is definitely doable for the two of us, although it would be a LOT of work to clean and wax the hull so Shawn & I would probably have to outsource some of that fun stuff. And yes, the 2nd gen is a backup. You wouldn’t need to use both.

You did a far better job than many of the professional boat tour people. I liked how you spliced the transition from space to space rather than walking around with the camera.

You didn't think we'd miss you neglecting the Mid-deck cockpit did you? Ha, Yeah I know it was all covered up, so you're forgiven. Any of those spaces look great to either feed or drink from, although the Hot tub looks hot. I can just imagine myself there drinking a glass 🥂🍾while it snows all around...Nice.
