The only thing I want is peace, but all I feel is ashamed. I’ve got these sick, sad thoughts and all they do is replay. There’s no way this is who I’m meant to be, I want my mind to be released, I want my demons abandoned.

I saw this group live in NC. As they left the stage I told their guitarist their music, mentioning this song, helped me fight so much through ptsd and the tough times of life. He simply hugged me and said that the feeling was mutual. They are truly humble people

This is one of those songs that can truly make you cry if you understand the lyrics.
The fact that this has under a billion views, is honestly criminal. Currents has been my all day everyday band for the last 4 months, and its been a great 4 months 😂
The intro is so powerful
This song will never fail to make me cry. I have never related so strongly to a song than I do with this one, and my god...what a beautiful structure this song has. The lyrics are absolutely perfect, the execution is absolutely perfect...a true masterpiece from a band that will always be one of my top favorites forever, surely.
The most underrated but incredible band out there. Lyrically and instrumentally talented, every song is written from the soul and really resonates with an audience that has gone through some tough shit. Props guys, keep up the amazing work
So I only just discovered this band today whilst looking for something new to get into and Shattered is the third track I have heard from Currents. Fucking wow, just blown away by the impact this song has had on me. I feel like this is the song I never knew I was missing in my life, it speaks so much clearer than I ever could. I can see this helping me a lot over the years to come and I am grateful to have stumbled across it. Just ordered this album and it is the quickest I have scrambled to buy a CD without knowing much about a band in years!
