I still can't believe how well put together this song was. The lyricism and delivery is nothing short of incredible and the band matches that emotional intensity every step of the way. One of those few releases that sounds exactly how it makes you feel.
While I love many of your jams such as Monsters, Flag To Wave, and others… I CANNOT get enough of this song… the musicality and lyrics are just phenomenal… thank you so very much for so many quality pieces of eargasmic beauty! 🍻🤘🏻
@@dontreadmyname4396 In terms of a similar sound to this, check out "The Guillotine I/II" by Escape the Fate and "Moving For The Sake Of Motion" by Underoath. "Under Fire" by Miss May I and "Members Only" by Veil of Maya are newer tracks.
@@dontreadmyname4396 nah i gotchu, listen to If I Were You, Polaris, Invent Animate, Erra, Silent Planet, Northlane, and Before I Turn. All top tier bands that metalcore kids would enjoy very much.
Dude lost me at escape the fate.. Jesus christ bro. Not even comparable. Listen to that second dudes advice those are pretty mutch my top favorite bands alongside Currents of course. Throw some Novelists Fr in there too. A lot of other great bands out there as well like TGI but literally all those bands listed you can get so lost in their music its insane. So much great material. Spiritbox is pretty dope too just to throw a female vocalist on the list. Start with all those and go from there. Shit Imminence is pretty dope too, their older shit goes hard.
encapsulates exactly how i feel. beautiful song from a perfect band. many tears shed to this already and i found it 2 days ago. 2:58 - 3:16 is so incredibly painful to listen to, but in a good way. having a hard time dealing with losing someone that meant alot to me and it cuts so deep to hear the emotion in this part. will never get enough of this track.
This song has only been out for a few years....and I've listened to it so many times and have such a connection with it that it feels like its been out for a decade...
Someone show me more songs written like this and with the same genre. This song is genuine and deserves a place on their top songs. Definitely better than their famous stuff it just surprised me a little.
Damn! These are lyrics are SO forthright and honest. WOW Being a former addict, these lyrics are close and personal. One of the members obviously had someone close to them (or maybe themselves) that went through these struggles because you really do burn every bridge in your life and hurt the ones closest to you when going through addiction/struggles. Shit is a monster. Cheers to this BANGER. God Bless you all!! *FYI. New Every Time I Die album is complete and set to drop soon! My heroes
This is their best song and I will die on that hill
Underrated. This deserves more attention.
Some of the hardest hitting lyrics and that clean chorus is phenomenal. Outstanding

Very talented band, this reminds me of Counterparts which is no insult
These guys are one of the best new bands on the scene
only that they aren't "new" ;) They are slayin since 2011 already.. check out "Hanging By A Thread", it will blow your pants off :D
Heathen is more impressive than hanging by a thread.
The singer they have now didn't join until The Place I Feel Safest.
I love them either way tho
This is still my favorite song of all time!
Thank you Currents for this...
I'm glad to of seen you live the night before the pandemic in Philly.
My favorite Currents song.
Same
same
With The Rope 🤟
This, night terrors and another life are the best songs of the album.
@@erickhouston2967 you're forgetting Delusion Apnea And Best Memory those are killer too
One of the few songs that punches straight to the heart lyrically. Just a stunning bit of writing.

This song slips under so many people's radar... still one of my fav Currents tracks of all time
Dude how have I not come across this one, top level writing here
"I'd go through hell to never hear your name." Gave me chills.
Some good riffs there. Reminds me of 2000's metalcore bands.
tell me some of these good bands so i can listen to them :D

such an underrated band.
The best Currents song. So fucking underrated.
Love it, makes me think about a few of my relationships... true words, heart crisis.
Currents will forever and always be my favorite. Currents tattoo soon!
full alb is awesome
I can identify with these lyrics so much. This song hits me like very few songs do.
Someone show me more songs written like this and with the same genre. This song is genuine and deserves a place on their top songs. Definitely better than their famous stuff it just surprised me a little.
Crooked Path by Polaris has a similar theme, it's a bit more grim and hits about as hard
Gus Mather I don’t know how I’d never listened to Polaris before this but that song hit me like a truck. Thank you
My Disguise by their EP "I Let the Devil In"
Honestly every Currents song hits as hard as this both musically and lyrically speaking. Absolutely love this band
You need to check out some of Phinehas old stuff, their album 'til the end' and the song Seven especially!

Man this is beautiful stuff!!
Must underrated currents song!
This album and especially this song is pure gold. Nothing will ever top this in the metalcore scene.
Absolutely blown away by this band. Deserves way more views than it currently does!
On repeat last 3 days, such a banger. Chorus is something else.
This is the best album in all of existence. Holy shit
August Burns Red + Counterparts + Fit For a King + splash of As I Lay Dying = Currents
i hear the abr influence
holy shit this is awesome. so glad I found these guys.
*after all this time you still decide to walk away*
Hardcore needed these dudes so bad. Thank the jesus
