If you can do an updated video that would be great

i am very surprised that Paul allowed these tech interviews to be published. Paul seemingly closely held show tech for TSO out of public knowledge...

Personally I've always though the lighting on the TSO shows is really poorly done. Of course it's impressive, thats a given simply due to the amount of lights used, but in my opinion, the design has been really sub-par over the last few years. It just seems like they tend to rely on more is better, and we all know that's hardly ever the case in terms of lighting design.

Carver please send a link to your better display. If you have the magic touch, why aren't you doing theirs?

I saw them for the first time last night and was completely blown away... so Yeah.. if you are a lighting expert, you are going to see things that 98% of the population doesn't notice. I saw an awesome show!

It's just his "personal" opinion. Don't be like that: "show us what you can do!" In the big picture a comment like that of my show personally helps me understant and better the show and showfile. I'm uncovering more insite in this world and a thing i heard a lot was an accent on restraint using fixtures. You need to, just like a song has a "drop" part and a rampup, do the same with the lighting. I wouldn't have realised that if i haven't been listening to other peoples opinions. The point I'm trying to make is that we shouldn't pick on Carver for being honest with his opinion. It's a point of perspective and how well and what you can adapt and learn from a comment like that. All comments are valueble because they better the show in many aspects by focusing the LD's atention towords specific aspects of the show.

I see where he's coming from, but the 3500s make the show. There are less and less of them every year, and the glp x4's don't work very well as a substitute

I'm surprised they weren't using MA lighting desk the pointes are great fixtures and have plenty of features I liked the vl3500 but becoming a bit of a dinosaur now due to led fixtures giving out similar brightness without the power consumption , I would of opted for the clay paky b eye led washes or robe equivalent, great desk the digico, but I personally think martin audios MLA would outperform the clair brothers i3 system as can cover a big area with fewer boxes

Still rather use a Neve than any other console. To each their own, but nothing sounds as good as a Neve! Your money, your choice. Go with what works for you!
