What size light did you use as up lighting?
I know they are staggered but what is the width of each sheet? Is it 8 feet? Or more like 6 feet? Also what are the heights. I see they are varied too. Thanks.

We use LED par cans and strips. Some are ADJ some are Chauvet and some are generic from china. Thanks for watching.

I wonder if they make tube version of that material. Looks nice. I just measured the whole entire stage & wall at my church. The wall isn't painted black (tan) but I think a black frame should still look good.
I have not personally seen it's worth looking into.

Thank you, we have two LED fixtures at each corner of the front of the stage.

Frincess Julyette lately I've started buying Chauvet Slim par leds for any stationary color wash and up lighting. The great thing is you can set them up anywhere and take them down very easily because the are so thin and light.

As long as you have good lighting it might add an additional effect to your end result. But I would paint it black if you are looking to do more designs in the future. Just my opinion though. Thanks for watching.

Thanks so much. I guess it depends on what you are attaching the the design to the curtain with. If I were in your shoes I would build the design on wood like I did in this video and attach it to the same bar or trust that your curtain is attached to for security in knowing that it won’t fall. Also it may be difficult to get straight lines when attaching the plastic to a fabric.

I do have one question. What advice would you give to a designer at a church that big design bases would take up too much room and you have a tiled ceiling that makes suspension rather difficult and creative?
I'm dealing with that situation right now with our next design. We are having to get creative when how we approach new ideas. I would first look at making your design to where you can lean it slightly on the back wall of your stage and secure it at the top so that it does not lean forward. Also, you can look at what the suspended ceiling is being supported by and consider going through the ceiling for support. Lastly, depending on the weight of your design you may not need as big of a base support as you think. Great question.

Great tanks for sharing. But my church have the stage wall all tiled.how do I go about it.
It is best to start with painting the wall behind the stage black. You can then fix a bar or truss across the length of your stage at least a foot or two away from the back wall. This will give you the ability to hang your set design. When hanging anything on your stage, please consult a professional. This will give you the best results and also know you are safe standing under them.
How do they look without lighting ... Normally we tend to lower the lights before worship (praise) and turn back
Our front wash reflects a little white light off of them and you can see them decently well. Thanks for watching.

It's called pegboard. Lowes has some called DPI Hardboard. It is the same board you might see in a garage with tools hanging off.

How many ping pong balls did you guys end up using? And where did you get the materials for that one? Also what size is your peg boards? I would like to make this for my church! Thanks
Austin Sheets I honestly have no idea how many it took to make this. But I did count 8 across and 20 or more down so roughly 160 or more per panel. I wasn’t the creator of that design. However, I do know for sure that the peg boards were 2’x8’ and a ping pong ball was glued to every other peg hole.

I just want to ask how did you attached those white boards on the panel? In our church we already have a pre-panelled stage which is a metal one. If you may suggest how can it be attached to a metal panel? Thank you ☺️ God bless you!
If you are okay with using tape I would use the same tape GoPro uses. This tape is made by 3M (product code 4991). If you need a clear version the 3M product code is 4910. This tape is super strong and would hold those pieces well. However, you may want to test it first. Also, it’s pretty easy to remove from almost any surface if you peal it from a corner and pull the tape parallel to the surface. Otherwise I would experiment with using industrial strength Velcro (black or white). It’s not very easy to remove but you may want to keep it on your metal beams. For future designs.
