About the network this uses, is this a serial network, like a can bus or rs485? If so, it could be easy as well as interesting to see what the protocol looks like with a serial monitor or oscilloscope.
From Wikipedia......LonWorks or Local Operating Network is an open standard for networking platforms specifically created to address the needs of control applications. The platform is built on a protocol created by Echelon Corporation for networking devices over media such as twisted pair, power lines, fibre optics, and wireless.
It’s always a crapacitor
To easy LOL !!!........cheers
I hope you don't need a capacitor to repair this item as you seem to have sent them all overseas to the otherside of the world🙂
Oh!......yeah, forgot about that dang!
@@IanScottJohnston i hear that Scott's got quite a lot of caps now.
Nice and simple, Ian!. Nothing to see with the Keithley DMM... these are the ones we like, hehehehee!. Thank you for sharing your huge knowledge.
Interesting failure... the capacitors looked like they were Panasonic ones, usually very good ! it could have been running somewhere hot, I suppose...
I thought you've send all of your capacitors to New Zeeland
It would seem some fell out of the parcel when I was packing them up!
