Hi, Bob and Jenny and little Poppy, what a great place to visit with wonderful views. I had my heart in my mouth a few times when Poppy was on the edge of the rocks. I haven’t been to Tintagel so will have to make a definite note x thank you for sharing x
Another opportunity to relive a visit to the castle 🏰. This time we didn’t have to do the slog back up to the pub !! Thanks for that you two & Poppy, Pete & Kaz 👍😀👍😀
Great video. Been a long time since I've been there, well before the bridge was built. I do remember climbing and climbing for what seemed an eternity and collapsing on the grass at the top. A beautiful place to visit and you certainly deserved that pint at the end. Thanks for sharing. Enjoy your time ;))
Love the castle and the legends, not seen the films but read many of the books, all started with the knights of the round table in Winchester as a child. Dear Poppy. Thank you both. Take care.
I’m continuing my memory lane with you video (see Trewethett Farm) Hoping to see a St Nectans Glen video as well! That was always a wonderful walk from the camp site! Really enjoyed this beautiful vlog. I remember that painful walk from the town to and from the castle! Thanks you again!
I partly watch your video for Poppy! Our Cairn has very similar personality to hers. Always on the go and wanting to scramble all over rocks and hills! Fascinating Tintagel, all that history
Wonderful video. Thank you so much. I lasted visited Tintagel as a child probably 75 years ago and only recognised small parts of it but so enjoyed your visit. Poppy was a complete character. Thank you x
I absolutely loved your visit to Tintagel castle. I have always wanted to visit and I now feel like I have almost been there. Thank you Bob, Jenny and Poppy
Thank you for taking me along to tintagel Castle, what lovely views, I must say poppy is quick at getting round, have a lovely time in Cornwall all of you xx
Wonderful to see the Castle again, it brought back some fabulous memories, we’re looking forward to going back in September when we’re next in Cornwall xx
Thank you for taking us on a wonderful tour of Tintagel Castle. It's a place my heart longs to be but alas my body would never follow! Shame you can't just go over the bridge and back the same way. ~ Lin xx
Hey Bob And Jenny. Thank you for showing the walk across the bridge. Back in 2018/19 my family were involved in the building of Tintagel Bridge, my eldest son project managed, my other son detailed the railings, and my husband built it, obviously not on their own, 😂. We cannot wait to visit ourselves. incidentally the public had the option to purchase a slate tile and have their names put on them before slotted in to make up the floor of bridge.
Looks fabulous can’t wait to visit it ourselves as soon as we can get back to Blighty. Poppy really is a little Duracell bunny in disguise 😂 but like my Bella drags you up the hills!
Its been well over 20yrs since we went to Tintagel, stunning place but dont think i could walk on that new bridge, i love watching Poppys Adventures she cant wait to get to the next bit x
I can’t believe how few people are about, Lisa and I went a couple of weeks ago and at 10am you couldn’t move for people. There was no available spaces to get across the bridge and the following day it was closed for the following three days due to high winds…. Thanks for sharing Bob brilliant as normal
Love this video and so good looking around the castle and amazing views. But please put poppy on a shorter lead when shes by the edge I’m having panics about it. Look forward to many more videos
You must have been following us we were in Boscastle and Tintagel last week. We had a lovely week a little wet and windswept but the coastline is beautiful
Great video! Have lovely memories of visiting Tintagel many years ago with my late parents, didn't visit the castle though! Amazing views! Poppy was so brave walking across the bridge, braver than me!😟😟
When we last visited Tintagel, many years ago, there was no bridge to make the access so easy……. it was steps all the way down and up, and same back again. Never again, but might go now with the bridge!
Great video Bob. Tintagel is one of my fave EH sites, along with Restormel Castle. When constructing the new bridge, EH invited people to buy a slate for a fiver and have their name inscribed on it. Those are the slates on their sides that you walk on!
Hi bob and Jenny 👏👏 well just us 2 Saying hi and thanks again 🤔 think poppy stole this video as new poppy the explorer 👍 great video thanks 👍👍👍🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🚌🚌🚌
Hi. We've been away on a trip of our own, and now we're starting to catch up on your recent vlogs. The tour around Tintagel Castle was stunning - history and views all presented so well by the three of you. Looks like a lot of energy needed for this visit, especially at the pace that Poppy sets ! Great vlog - really enjoyed it. Now looking forward to catching up on the others. Thank you for sharing it. George and Trish - CaravanningMacs
Book a timed ticket with www.english-heritage.org.uk/visit/places/tintagel-Castle If you Google bodmin to tintagel train you should see how to get there - we went by car.
Thank you for your lovely videos, I am in a wheelchair - I realise that I could not get all over the Island but could I get to the bridge in my wheelchair?
Great video, I have never been to Cornwall but it looks great. I never knew GCHQ had a listening post out there. I have been past the Cheltenham one, but had to look up Bude. Nice video, I follow your travels all over the UK and Europe.. .en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GCHQ_Bude
When Britain needs Arthur he will return to Wales to save the day, my grandfather was called Arthur, you go to some places I would love to go to. My favourite Arthur is the Roman Knight who fights the Saxons in the centre the Romans left Britain not the darkages

Our pleasure!

Yes at least the bridge removes the most strenuous part of the visit.

We certainly did!

Had fun there, great area to walk. I think it would have been cold to live there, beautiful scenery
Cold and windy on a November's night!

Thanks, they did a fantastic job, something to be really proud of.
Thanks for the video! We are due to go to the same site and castle in September so it was good to see it ahead of time.
Looks fantastic with the new bridge . Who needs a guide book when you have a poppy tour x
Brilliant video thanks for sharing, I have been to Tintagel several times but sadly can’t do the walk
That's a shame, there is still a Land Rover Shuttle service running down to the bottom and back.
Poppy barking at King Arthur 😂😂 no words. Brilliant vlog, great footage and you do so well xxx
Thank you so much, we do try.
We did this visit a few weeks ago and it took days for the knees to recover from those steps. Definitely one of the most breathtaking places to visit.
Looks fabulous can’t wait to visit it ourselves as soon as we can get back to Blighty. Poppy really is a little Duracell bunny in disguise 😂 but like my Bella drags you up the hills!
Yes, Duracell Westie!
Nice to see again, last time we went there was 2004 during our honeymoon.
Cheers guys👍

Hi Bob & Jenny and poppy nice video as always . Got to take the are dog to the vets Monday 24th got lump on is side .
Hopefully it's something and nothing. Our Katie had a big lump on her shoulder, a harmless fatty lump called a Lipoma. Fingers crossed for you.

Thanks, we got there about 9:30 it was getting busy around 11am.
Aww Poppy is so adorable and you all did well going up and down those steep steps. Well worth a visit another for the list x
A lovely video (yet again), tour of the area and the history too. We'll have a repeat watch of this later today. Thanks both of you.
Love this video and so good looking around the castle and amazing views. But please put poppy on a shorter lead when shes by the edge I’m having panics about it.

Thank you, but we are always very careful with Poppy and people often criticise us for keeping her on a lead, so that's a new one to us!
@@BobEarnshawMoHo she just seemed to get very close to the edge. U both love her to bits anyone can see that enjoy the rest of ur holiday

I'm glad I watched this. I'm not keen on heights and not sure I can cope with the bridge. Can you get to the other side via the steps both ways?
No, because of the one way system.

Yes, it was a thoroughly enjoyable day, but quite tiring.
Great vid. How long did it take roughly from entrance to King Arthur's statue?
About 1.5 hours I think. Faster if you you're not filming.
@@BobEarnshawMoHo Thanks..going there today with my kids 9 and 15 :)
Enjoy!
Hi Bob, Can you let me know if there is any entry ticket required to cross the bridge? Also how can I reach Tintagel from Bodmin parkway station?
Book a timed ticket with www.english-heritage.org.uk/visit/places/tintagel-Castle If you Google bodmin to tintagel train you should see how to get there - we went by car.
We were there yesterday. 👌🏻
Can you let me know if there is any entry ticket required to cross the bridge? Also how can I reach Tintagel from Bodmin parkway station?
Our westie is just the same when crossing bridges
Thank you for your lovely videos, I am in a wheelchair - I realise that I could not get all over the Island but could I get to the bridge in my wheelchair?
It's the current one way system that stops you coming back that way, but I bet if you asked they could arrange something.
Ah, King Arthur...I was trying to work out Darth Vader's link to Cornwall 😀
Yes, it is a bit scary..

The big hotel in view is called The Camelot Hotel, it's interesting inside, had afternoon tea there.
I've had a look at reviews of that place out of interest. There are some interesting impressions people have had of the management there 😬
