I opened a random pack recently and got a protean hulk. How can I make a modern combo using it? I think it’d be cool to jam something historical in something new and powerful. Unexpected
Unfortunately flash and anything similar is either banned or not legal in modern. The best I can think of is a reanimator spell like persist while having a sacrifice outlet out already of which there are a million to chose from. The unfortunate thing about modern magic is that with the wide card pool available to modern, there are at least 5 better reanimation targets to choose. However I won't stop you from living your dream and the rest of the combo after you sacrifice your protean hulk is modern legal to boot with karmic guide being printed in modern horizons 2. Footsteps of the goryo might be a card to take a look at, it cheats hulk out and sacs it at end step starting the combo.
