I personally think that you should do what you believe is best for content with the webcam. If you think that the webcam brings out degenerates and shitty comments and that takes away from your ability to enjoy streaming and making content then I believe it is a good thing to put up the cam for now and maybe bring it back when things are more tame and there will be less comments made or impact made by comments.

To answer your question: Id say you`re not a bad looking bloke but I think theres just a culture that has developed between men where we like catcall each other for the fun of it. I couldnt pick up girls for shit but you can bet your ass Ill rizz up my homies in VC every evening. I get what you mean regarding confusion and I would never take an "aggressive compliment" for full, unless its coming from a gay dude but it feels like a coping mechanism for a lot of, lets call them "romantically unsatisfied boys". When this started happening to me, that I think was the first time I understood why girls have a problem with catcalling even though its "just compliments". A compliment here and there is nice and feeling desired is also nice but it depends on the frequency, how its voiced and by whom its said. If your crush calls you cute, thats worth something. If some 40 year old weirdo stares at you and accidentally drools or says something about you being breedable, its just weird as hell, unless it comes from a good homie and you 100% know how its meant.
Taking the cam away is understandable if you dislike the type of chatter it generates. But I do believe you coalesced that culture around yourself with your own way of speaking whike the cam was on.
