I tried this promptly on change in 14.10 because i enjoy maiden drops but i dislike the fact its a shared cooldown so if you dual push its inconsistent. Tiamat just feels more consistant.
Neat. Realistically, though, Trinity+Stridebreaker+Cleaver give just as much for R2 gameplay. I'm definitely an R2 enjoyer, and my philosophy has become: CDR is critical, your job is to provide utility for your teammates as Yorick the champion is fairly weak without consistent access to ghouls, and you absolutely MUST stay alive. It takes almost nothing for an R2 to get an assist level of gold/XP, and getting a kills worth is basically guarenteed as long as you stay alive. You're getting the Shiv proc once MAYBE twice per wave. Is that worth? 240-300 damage every wave, but you're super weak while grouped. Maybe if Shiv had a 2s CD instead of 3 since it's conditional on the last hit you could more reliably get 400+ damage, but it doesnt. Try out triple phage items w/ R2 gameplay - it's the bruiser Yorick you want to play. You have lots of movement speed from SB/BC passives and lots of health to stay alive. Your damage is somewhat relevant without ghoul access because of Trinity's sheen proc. You have utility in the form of an extra slow on SB active and armor shred from BC. Obviously they're more expensive items, but they're worth it.
Shojin is bugged on Maiden, non-ultimate cooldown works on her death so it is OP for ability haste atm. So I end up rushing it or cooldown boots for that first painful maiden timer. Hollow Radiance also has the same effect of shiv, last hit pushing even better in some ways.
damn shojin more goated than i thought. I tried fitting hollow radiance in this playstyle but I dislike the lack of dmg. rn i build it into strong ap team e.g voli top, taliyah jgl or near the end of my build (5th item) although its a good item overall ill probs make a vid on it
@@Krykey hollow radiance is a slow burn but builds up over time especially since most yorick items give him health so it adds up significantly, there's also no cooldown on the little explosion over statikk, makes for some neat overlapping and full clear and speaking of slow burn lately people are building Liandry's and Blackfire with him in hybrid builds too. These also proc from sidepushing ghouls/maiden. Already mentioned cleaver, but it and stridebreaker give both Yorick and the ghouls more move speed which is arguably their problem even getting to lane or melee range to begin with
@@xbz3795 it’s been built by other high rank yorick players for a while now but I’ve only seen it built in easy match ups or when they are behind to hyper farm cs generally u don’t want to release maiden. I personally would not recommend in most games but it is a viable option.

The build isn't to show against matchups. But push capabilities, and side laning. Yorick should be able to win most matchups. Or at least go even with most. Build paths have nothing to do with matchups.
