- Today we're trying to get the Airstream cleaned out and ready for winter. Of course the family needs to eat as well so let's make Garlic Naan and Tomato soup while we clean!

The things I thought I disliked back when our children were small are the things I love now. Making pizza and bread from scratch, cooking to can my base ground beef mix 6-8 lb at a time and making homemade berry jam with no ingredients other than fruit and sugar… yeah cooking and even cleaning have become the things I love to do :) I just didn’t realize how “being a mom isn’t the only thing you need, you need to go to work out of the home for validation” affected the way I was. Being a mom is the best thing I ever did, caring for home, children and husband was the happiest I was.
My degree and work was never as rewarding as that. If I could do it all over again I’d stay home. we could have done alright without my job.
bonjour la famille. i smiled with a heavy heart and lots of appreciation as you mastered your role as mother of these fine children and wife of Jonathan. now i'm a father of 5 children, all grown with their own respective families. i love hearing their stories of how hard it is to motive the families to work together on little cleaning projects or worse, landscape clean-up. throughout your vidéo, you smiled Ashley. i waited for a voice of command that never came. calm and collected you were. with limited space, you made the best of all worlds. there was no frustration in your voice, nor in your eyes. it was simply, we have a job to do, and let's get too it. with all the woe in this world, i enjoyed 20 plus minutes of calm and peace, laying hens who gave up their eggs, junk draw full of pencils and pens, habitual dust whilst living in the desert, you blushing about a Vodka bottle and Ocho, the cardboard shredder participating in the work effort.
Thanks William. I despise t our kids to have a happy childhood even in days of cleaning and errands. Not at all saying everyday is a wonderland, we all have our moments, but we try real hard to keep each day full of laughs and love. Some days are easier than others.
@@TinyShinyHome Ashley, my comment was to make you smile. raising children and assigning tasks around the home is a challenging endeavour at best. it's like making a movie. you're the director and you're dealing with a cast of real-time actors. there will be good days and bad days, and that"s where editing comes in. A mom’s life is always busy and chores are never ending. I love that you thanked the chickens for their eggs, lol! Also, I lived across the street from horse stables and also got to ride horses when I was young, it was such a special time in my life, and I’m glad your girls have that opportunity as well. ❤ Lastly, all of your meals always look so yummy!! Love you guys! 😘❤️

It’s amazing how much stuff you can get in your 200 square feet of living space. I loved helping my aunt and uncle who also had an airstream trailer when I was young they are wonderful memories of them. My aunt was an amazing cook and she taught me so much. Thank you for sharing your day with us and bringing wonderful memories back. Your children will appreciate those same memories in their future.

1.5 years of RV living was doable for the two of us, but I'm so glad to be living in a house this winter! We had a good 1/4 inch of dust under things as were cleaning up and moving out of our RV. 🤧🏜️

There's something satisfying about cleaning, downsizing and simplifying - and it's a never-ending "to-do list" item! For the size of space you 6 have to work with, it looks amazing!

For your cupboard shelves I'd recommend either rimmed baking sheets or cardboard boxes (Shallow)
So you can pull the box out and see the stuff at the back. I have done this in my frig and in my cupboards. Food has a better chance @ getting used and not going bad. I sure hope this helps you and others as much as it has me. I'd like to learn how to make Naan sometime also. Thank you for the lovely visit!
My wife and I live in a 28 foot C class motorhome. With two cats two dogs no kids. My OCD is challenged every single day. I feel your pain girl. Well done

BTW you should build an outdoor storage cupboard next to your trailer when you move it so you have more storage.

I had similar problem. I bought some colored tape ( like electric tape size), 6 colors. I wrapped tape around the wires and a tiny piece on the back of the unit where they plug in. Now no matter who unplugs them, it is easy to het them in the right place later on. Love your channel

Praise God for reliable and productive hens. Ocho is growing like a weed. Household chores are never-ending and the kids have to perform their share. I remember my chores as a kid and how ai felt about doing them day after day - just like I have to do as an adult -hahaha. I caught a glance at some of your completed airport work to be shown in future episodes - what a tease. I am looking forward to following the completion of your projects - someday an automatic gate opener.

My husband put the shelves on full drawer pull outs. Makes it easier to see what I have
A hanging organizer with pockets would be perfect on the white wall behind the TV. Cords, remotes, whatever Kentucky into the buckets. They need to be small so they can’t be overloaded, or definitely clear so that you can see what’s in them. 👍
