Thanks, T - this was very helpful. I didn't want to use litigation hold to keep emails and also didn't want to mess around with the retention policies/labels already in place. Appreciate your tutorial. Keep up the great work.
Can you expand on the notification at the top "The latest 50 recoverable items for the filters you applied are shown below". can this limit be increased? what if there are more than 50 items to recover per period< is the restore done in 50 item increments? Thanks
50 is the max you can show at a time. You may want to apply filter such as the subject or Item Type or Folder Type to further show you the exact ones you want. If it is still more than 50, you can you PowerShell to do the same with Get-RecoverableItems or process 50 at a time
Please, maybe you can help me. I have 1 case where the user deleted the email and then deleted items from the folder and also from the recovery using Outlook (he did this on a whim), when I go to the console using the path you explained, I can't find the e-mail. -mail. I created this scenario using my account and this actually happens, if the user deliberately deletes the email, deletes it from the trash and also from Recovery Items, I cannot recover it via the Exchange Admin console, do you know any way I can recover and/or inhibit it? Can the user delete Recovery Items from Outlook?
You can't go back one year in O365. Microsoft only keeps deleted emails for 30-60days . Anything more than that will require a third part backup option or if the user is on retention or litigation hold
It looks like the Import Export role doesn't exist in the new Exchange console for me, I can see it in the Classic one fortunately.

Excellent!!!👍
Very nice video. My question would be is there a way to recover more that just 50 emails?
Did you ever get a response to this question?
This doesn’t work for personal email accounts. Is there a way to do this for non organisational accounts?
Thank you so much.
* It can take some time about 1hr to 24h for the permissions to apply *
Can this be performed for personal accounts that aren't part of an organisation?
The first part of the video is possible for personal accounts . The second part is for admins of an organization
life saver!
Can you only retrieve emails within the past 30 days ? We cannot go a year or more back ?

Thank you so much men
Hello, working also on-prem with Exchange 2019 servers?
how to recover a disgarded draft? thanks
If a end user goes to that "recover items deleted from this folder" link, and delete it. can admins still restore it from the backend?
Yeah, it goes to Purge folder after that which end users don’t have visibility to and admin can still recover from Purge
Thank you soo much.. 😊

The first time I did it, it didn't work after I applied for permission. So, I reload the page then boom it's clickable.
