This is too bad. It was my childhood mall also. I used to go there to hang out in the arcade, Goldmine/ Tilt, to play video games. I bought a lot of stuff during my teenage years also. Haven't been back in years. I'll miss it!
It was. It saddens me to see it in this shape. I hope these stores will hang on until redevelopment occurs. Marshall's seems to be keeping this afloat.
@@mallaholicretailadventures I only asked because it looked like faintly is had the label scar of the name of Wards on it. I remember about 10 years ago passing through Peru, IL the Montgomery Wards logo dating back from the 1970s on the auto center attached to the store that if I am correct Sears did take over. And regarding Jcpenney stores-Joliet would be considered within Chicago limits unless like your Mokena video you are doing that separately as well.
Nancy Darling I can say roughly 90-10 percent it comes down within a few years at least. I grew up in Lam Moille and still reside there. Anyways every time we where in Peru we stopped at the mall. It is kind of sad but hopefully they take it down and build up a lot of technology related stores that my generation is interested in.
I'm surprised these stores are still hanging on. Maybe Marshall's is carrying this mall or these stores have cheap rent for now. I'm staying optimisticic that this will turn around for the better. One way or another.

Aw this is too bad. My first jobs were here and I remember growing up here too. KB toys and the pet store. Movies on the weekend. Sad to see.
It is such a shame. This was my mall growing up and it's a shame to see It in this shape.

I missed the FYE store. I went to that store in the 1990s.

@@shlankbank it passed through the city council. The bergners is going to be demolished.
