They really need to show gundams squishing more infantry. They need anti-infantry gundam units they could make it the monster in a horror movie type of situation only to show the protagonist in the gundam. Bonus points if they are a zeon sympathizers or from a zeon faction.

As someone who has watched plenty of Gundam series since the 90s on Toonami, this scene really hit hard. I know some complained about the earlier portion of this series not "being Gundam," but by taking the time to get us into that groove it allowed this scene to have a bigger impact. If the series were full of these all the time, it would lose impact. Spacing them out, such as Eri battling in the prologue, Elan dying and being replaced, and now this, it allowed all these moments to mean more instead of just being violence and darkness for the sake of it. Looking forward to the next part!

@Mark Nobody it's not the first time Gundam has done a bait and switch, thought it's probably the first time they've done one like this with the protagonist. I'd say probably the most notable example before this is ZZ, where it plays it like a wacky sunday morning super robot anime with goofy teenagers fighting incompetent villains, right until around halfway through when suddenly there's a colony drop and hundreds of people including named characters die in the blink of an eye.

There’s a fantheory that Suletta is controlled by her mother and if that’s true. I really love the idea of these two girls coming from two different upbringings; one parent being supportive but manipulative while the other is controlling and content. And these two “freeing” the other.

Even into their college years, they cling onto their moms because that is all they have. Fathers work very long hours and are hated due to missing life events. Women face a lot of discrimination and only now are starting to wake up. This show does highlight a lot of these issues which is why it is popular with female viewers as well.

My hypothesis is that part of her soul/personality/emotion is imbued into Aerial to achieve the strong and natural link between them. So now her own personality is incomplete, lacking fear or human morality. Her mom cares about her daughter's safety, but maybe as a key to her vengeance instead of her well-being.

realistically, your unlikely to get "sucked" out into space if your not in a position to have the bulk of the air behind you, miorine has her back to a wall, so the full air of the station wouldnt have pushed her towards the hole in the half-second it would take to depressurize, that and the hole is so large, that the volume of air in the room could leave without needing a high pressure to move.
gotta remember, the difference between ground level on earth, and the vacuum of space, is 1 atmosphere of pressure, and thats assuming a station isnt kept at slightly lower pressures on its outer-most layers specifically to minimize risks in case of puncture. theres a larger pressure differential just diving 10m under water
