Thank you for this video. My wife and I are from Arizona and we are looking to move to Tennessee next year and Chattanooga and Knoxville are 2 of our choices. We are also very interested in Clarksville too, we will be visiting Tennessee in April for 10 days.
I’ve lived in Chattanooga for two years, I kind of hate it here. Food is on point though. Definitely not settling down here. Knoxville is better, the smokys, oak ridge, Tool plays there lol
I've been watching a lot of videos about the 2 major cities and I actually learned a few things from your video that weren't mentioned in the others. Thanks!
@@livinginchattanoogatn That Knoxville has a higher population, I always thought Chattanooga was bigger for some reason. The issues with public transportation and that people in Knoxville are super into sports.
I’ve lived in both cities. In my experience, Knoxville wins hands down. Knoxville has friendlier people, more stuff to do, better downtown, and isn’t as crimey. Chattanooga has some good people but it’s very cliquey, and there was a lot of crime. I have to disagree with the video, it is so very easy to get bored in Chattanooga. Was sad to leave Knoxville, was so excited to get the heck out of Chattanooga.
The public schools are better in Knoxville, but the private schools in Chattanooga are top notch. If you live in the Chattanooga area and want to send your kids to public schools, you're better off living in NW Georgia and sending them to Catoosa County, GA schools, they're significantly better.
Only reason this guy is doing this is for his financial gain. I’m a Native Knoxvillian and it is awful now because of people like him ! Yes, public transportation sucks ! The government here refuses to build bike lanes and repair the sidewalks. The only thing that gets attention is its the color orange !
One thing I can add, is that the houses cost too much, and their houses in general aren't that nice. It's hard to find one you like. For example Georgia has much nicer houses.

University of Tennessee-Chattanooga vs NYIT which is best?
Our car is dyed yellow in the spring from all the pollen lol
Relatable lol
Chattanooga is the best
Less public transport the better!
I like Knoxville. But if I had the choice I would pick Chattanooga😊
What other cities are good to live near Chattanooga?
Yooo… you didn’t say enough about crime🥲
East Tennessee whether it's in the Chattanooga area, Knoxville area or the Tri Cities area....East Tennessee is the best part of Tennessee!
