That lance charging into valstrax's laser cannon attack is epic. 😆
It's pretty fun to do but you need guard up (and embolden lv2 to proc so you don't get stopped in your tracks) to do it... and watch out for the secondary explosions of dragon element

Its going to be hard going from Sunbreak to play World. The switch skills and silk binds (mostly the movement and quick guards) are so fluid, and sunbreak adding the scroll swap pushed it even further.
Depends what do you expect. Anime-style shit, where you jump around on wirebugs or heavy combat of World. Me and (looking at stats) most people tend to chose and go back to perfect World/Iceborn instead of Rise.
@@johnyalkosebre7993 It's not necessarily one or the other, I enjoyed both really much in their own style and I'm glad they didn't try to make rise a world like just because it went really well with the sales. I hope wilds doesn't look like any of the two and that the devs explored a new unique style to give the next game and still do something great with it.

I recently went back to World and it was just as amazing as it ever was. Monster Hunter was never about Devil May Cry anime hunting; in fact Rise is kind of an arcade style anomaly in the MH universe.
I really got to get back to Rise... This looks like so much fun.

@@Ryker_11 I've been around since 3U and have played GU. I will admit I did hop back to GU after playing a bunch Rise (before the Risen updates) and it did scratch my Old World itch.
As good a time as any tbh. MH Wilds isn't until 2025, so Rise Sunbreak is gonna be the latest release for well over a year still

Im gonna miss Switch Skills in Wilds, combat was so good in Rise.
I would hope we keep those since Iceborne had a few which lead to them being in base Rise, but Silkbinds will likely be gone which is a shame since those did a lot. Good movement, quick guards, big damage, and weapon specific buffs.
Probably we are gonna get some new mechanic, but I really hope they keep those skills because for some weapons is a totally different playstyle like for the GS.
I feel like if they do keep Switch Skills they’re probably going to get rid of like half of them. Certain skills like Serene Pose for Longsword are most likely going to get removed while others such as the SA counter could still remain tho.
That was a truly entertaining video, the editing was fluid, the hunts were nice
Hunters that can use multiple weapons to defeat endgame monsters will always have my respect

I hope to Gog that the counter playstyle of SnS is viable in Wilds (or even still exists). SnS easily went from eh in base Rise to my favorite iteration ever in Sunbreak because of the counter playstyle becoming viable with Embolden

Yeah you CANNOT block multiple of Vlastraxes moves now. Used to be only his Crash landing, but in his new Risen mode, the Charged Jab is utterly unblockable. Tried blocking it with max guard stats full hp and over 1k defense, still blasted.
You can block it, You need guard up. it just does a lot of damage if you don't have max guard up up or enough health/defense to tank the chip damage with lower levels of guard up.
Guard up for usually unblockable attacks

Guard 5, guard up 3 and embolden 3 makes you invincible when a monster is focused on you. So with the above skills you will take little to no chip damage at all with minimal knock back.
This game is so much more fun than World it’s insane

Small question, since i haven't got to that point in the game yet, why do you have Qurio flying around you in the Charge Blade part of the video? Is that just visual or do they do something?
Ah that. It's an armor skill.
It's a skill that was first on the sunbreak final boss armour it basically drains your hp constantly for more raw or elemental damage depending on what switch scroll you're on
Its armor skill that spawns Qurios around you, they constantly drain your HP but buff your attack.

You know I'm right. The Gen 5 monsters in rise are okay, however, World had actual danger not Cirque De Soloing in the air.
Rise made fights actually *_fun,_* though. Not breaking the flow of combat every two minutes to Clutch Claw, or dealing with arbitrarily bs mechanics like Kushala and Alatreon.

Good riddance to rise, I went back to world,I hate how rise combat was entirely based on counters so monsters more aggressive, I love world more.
I played world due the back to world campaign and it was enjoyable as it always have been. Then I switch to rise like a week ago and oh my man, the combat, the monsters, the speed, the movement all that is way funnier and enjoyable. It will take longer until I go back to world
