I will be going to college in a few months... away from home... my own room, desk setup, new gadgets, new friends... I have my entrance test (JEE advanced) in a few days.. and I really want to get a better college.. &this video is just increasing my excitement for the new student life.. the real journey is still about to begin! i am hyped af
I'm also starting college in a few months! I have some exams on the 16th and after that is college preparation!!! You have discord? You on the Cajun Koi server?
Totally inspired by the desk setup!! Nowadays many youtubers just flash huge haul of unwanted - expensive stationeries in their videos just to make the desk aesthetic. But I loved how your desk has things which is actually worthy and useful and still aesthetic. Great video! Also loved your subtle humor in between ;)
im just watching this again as i often reference it for desk setups I want, and I just saw through to matty's humanity xD. Its so easy to forget you guys are human beings behind a 1.29M (hell yeah !! good stuff !) sub count and 100K+ views, but just seeing that you all also sit at your desks and ponder what to do with life, then run some experiments to see how it goes is amazing
A grey fabric mat or even vinyl matte black would contrast the green desk top tremendously instead of the same color which looks bland, overall nice set up and glad to see someone pushing wired accessories for a change.
I do mechanical engineering at uni and I personally find dual monitor setups extremely useful for my use case. If I could justify getting a new monitor I would love to get the LG DualUp monitor as its essentially designed to be 2 monitors built into one. I always have far too many programs and tabs open at the same time that I cant view it all on my monitors xD
Hi there Peter, I also started mechanical engineering at university and would like to know how you make notes and how you generally study/revise for this subject.
@@Sasuke.out.of.Chakra Hi Reazwan, I've found that everyone has their own way that works for them but I can let you know the kind of approach I take. For taking notes I only really write down example questions that lecturers work through in class. This is mainly because my lecturers upload the lectures as pre recorded videos so I can refer back to them anytime I want and re-watch them if I get confused later. I find that for mechanical engineering (for the maths anyway) being able to see the steps taken to reach the final answer is most helpful for me. Having access to fully solved problems lets me go back in my own time and get a much better understanding of how to work through and solve each type of question so that by the time the exams or assignments are happening I am prepared for anything they can throw at me. There is definitely no "correct" way to take notes. If you seen my notes it would probably actually be very hard to read as they are so messy xD. If you want to take notes for written/theory topics, I always used to take notes of whatever I could in the lectures but it was key to focus on making sure I didnt fall behind the lecturer because I was writing stuff down. I would spend far too long writing and end up confused because I missed a part of information and from that point on the lecture was useless to me because I was lost early on. My key tips would be: -Note down key information and then if you have time (only if you think you will remember to) go back and fill in the gaps. -Highlight key information, steps, or answers to worked examples. -For each type of mathematical question ensure you have at least one worked example in your notes. -You could also create a general list of steps detailing how to approach and solve each question type without any numbers (showing possible equations you may need, nomenclaure & symbols used for each equation etc). Sorry for being so long winded but it is very very hard to describe my note taking process as I just kinda do what works for me. It does take a long time though (or for me it did at least). I'm now in my 5th year of Mechanical Engineering studying and I've only really now got to the point im happy with my methods. To be fair though I didnt study the first 3 years so maybe itll be faster for you hahaha Edit: Using something like a whiteboard or even piece of paper with your deadlines written down on your desk can help stay on track also. Just make sure its always visible to remind you and keep you motivated.
@@Sasuke.out.of.Chakra I would HIGHLY recommend a RUclipsr called Ali Abdaal. He is very good at teaching study methods and shows what he did to get top of his class in a very good university
Pro-level Productivity: Matty was watching MHA and HxH at the same time 😂. BTW, amazing video. I will keep this aspects in mind while redesigning my desk next time.
Could we have a video on decor? I always see really cool aesthetic lamps and gadgets in your background and I always wonder what they are, a video on it would be pretty cool
Since you are a big fan of Apple, do you think Apple will ever create a computer the enhances gaming experience? I’d like to buy a MacBook when i got back to school but I’d like to play Pokémon Trading card game and some League of Legends 😎
MacBooks are great for gaming performance wise, its just that most games don't run on MacOS, which isn't really Apples fault and not something they could do that much about. It's really mostly on developers to develop for Macs as well, but as most gamers use Linux or Windows, there really isn't that much of an incentive
cool setup my huy but instead of the wired dt 770 pro try a wireless head phone especially since u dont use it to play video games it should make ur setup look less clumsy(not that is it clumsy)
I have the same monitor arm but I noticed that every time I change the position, the monitor slightly rotates and I have to readjust it so that it’s level. Have you had this issue at all?

All this is great but tbh all you need is a desk chair and laptop, other stuff help but not everyone has thousands to spend.
i like how the video got progressively funnier and funnier. Great content by the way and just watching makes me motivated already!!

Haha! Thats such a wholesome comment, rookie.
It means a lot to me and Mike that you love our work. (Also our ponderings of life. 💀)
