@canvymamoo673 that chaotic vibe is what I aim for in all my videos because normal car reviews are boring, so expect more of it in the future! Thanks so much for the feedback!
Fun fact: one time my coda was broken into and the only things they stole were: my prescription sunglasses, my minecraft blanket, and my creeper plush. They left everything else.
The Gam show segment was quite funny (especially the argument "It can't be an electric car - it's red") Also, as you are in Phoenix, you could see if Sarah from Sarah-N-Tuned would want to review your Elektrek? Might be a cool oportunity for a colaboration...
I once followed a coda around Boulder Colorado as I had seen it a few times and had no idea what it was. Had to follow it to see the badging. Super rare car.
Good video. You are going to love that Chevy Volt. A friend of mine has one with 180k miles on it. The only thing he has replaced were the front wheel bearings at 100k miles, a very common fault on the Volt. I'm looking forward to seeing your videos on the Volt.
I feel you on the 6.6kw charging. At least you don't have to put up with the Magnecharge system! Kind of neat that you got the successor to my electric truck as your replacement!
As a fellow college student with a Volt, I gotta say it's a pretty awesome daily in my experience. Part of me wishes I had a cool older EV like a Coda but I know deep down it wouldn't have the same reliability as the Volt's EV powertrain.
Good choice on the Volt. I had one of those too! The only two things I didn't like about it was the sub-par infotainement system (It was just laggy and lacked some features) and the huge A-pillars (Restricted visibility, be careful when checking your corners!).
The infotainment and car status info is still way ahead of my 2022 Opel Corsa E (basic version). It doesn´t even know its an EV. It has a mode where it functions as a digital picture frame though which led me to assume that that is where they "borrowed" the software from. Luckily I never have to see it because of Android Auto.
Hello, have you done a capacity test to determine the degradation and the SOH of the battery, you have a very interesting example which can give us information which will be very useful on the longevity of LFP batteries over time!
We need this styling. Boring but reliable, basic frame, and simple and tactile inputs are needed. Upgrade and improve the construction, make it tolerate the heat and cold better, and access the modern battery technology and we could have a good vehicle again.
I have never driven a Coda, but I hate that gear selector by just looking at it. Unlimited spin? On a gear selector? Nah, dog. Give me a 4-stepped physical mechanism so that I don't ever have to look at the stupid thing ever again.
As great as the Volt is (the powertrain is pretty genius), I hated the front seats. I'm as tall as you are and on road trips, I found them extremely uncomfortable. Also, premium gas. 😬
This thing looks completely compromised... I would had never ever dumped any cash into this thing. People who do this get played and burnt off often. Even a really early gen Kia Rio or late 1990s hyundai would had been well better for the money. Which this car totally looks like.
I didn't buy it because it's a good car, I bought it because my hobby is working on rare EVs... did you watch the video? I openly admit that it has many flaws.

The game show was so chaotic, i love every second of it, excellent review of the Coda EV.
So glad you liked it! I was very close to cutting it from the video because I wasn't sure if people would like it!
please do more ,that's like my favorite part of the video

I’m with Cog, none of Aging Wheels’ Codas are red, therefore it wasn’t an electric car.
@@kevinshannon9917 cog should honestly take my job as host
i was gonna be in that gameshow but someone is the master of miscommunication aint that right declan
*slaps coda* this bad boy can fit so many creeper plushies
Fun fact: one time my coda was broken into and the only things they stole were: my prescription sunglasses, my minecraft blanket, and my creeper plush. They left everything else.
You got a thumbs up for the game show segment. Also that Tempest-like gear selector.
So happy you liked it!!!

I'll have to look into it! So glad you liked the gameshow!
Hahaha the gameshow. That was wonderful.
If you brought it back to Colorado I would be so tempted to buy it;
Hope the Volt treats you well!!

I like my 1996 Geo Metro / Solectria Force. In reality, I only have a range of 15-20 miles on the lead acid batteries. Thinking of going to Lithium.
You have a solectria!? That's so cool! I loved my solectria back when I owned one
I would love to own the coda I was looking for one when I saw Robert’s collection 😂👀

I'm already loving it! Feels almost like a luxury car coming from the coda
LOVED the gameshow skit. I was dying. Great video!
Thank you so much!

I actually have 2 magnecharge stations in my garage lol, what kinda truck do you have????
@@ElectrekGarage I have a Chevrolet S10e, basically a base model S10 with an EV1 drivetrain stuffed in it. What version are your magnechargers?
@@soupercomputer7980 very cool! I have the Rav4 Magnecharge stations!
"Is it an electric car?"
- It is red

The volt feels so much more like a car than coda does
Heck yeah enjoy the volt. If you want to make it a little faster you should look into getting it tuned :)

Yeah I've noticed the lack of features on the infotainment but I'm adding android auto and apple carplay using a raspberry pi
whoa there. your in arizona? what part? before you sell the coda i wana check it out
Phoenix, right near ASU. Send me an email (in my "about" page)

I wish my cars had android auto. I'll be upgrading the volt in the future to support it

I didn't expect to see boykisser lmao
Gotta have boykisser. He's a staple of any good car review.
It's a very interesting video - did you look for the MK1 LEAF or the Bolt?
I don't trust the leaf.
@@ElectrekGarageReally? My second gen Nissan Leaf isn't *that* bad of an EV. I wish the battery had an active cooling system......
@@alexdhall I love the leafs but I've heard too many horror stories about the batteries!
My biggest takeaway from this video is that electric cars can't be red

Second car is coda fs
For a 2012 model 6.6kW L2 charging wasn't that bad, 24kWh Nissan Leafs had 3.3kW at around the same time
Has anyone ever converted one of these back to the original Haifei spec?
I can't say I've known anyone who's done that

Third is coda again

Havent listed it yet, getting my last few drives in it! Ill let you know when I have a listing posted!
