Great episode! We all had a blast riding with you, Dan! The Hawes Enduro race was amazing and we are all still riding a high from how fun it was to prepare and race in it. Thanks for sharing!
I really appreciate all of the help you gave me that day Sage! I have watched countless jump videos telling me how to jump, but it just never clicked. I guess sometimes it just takes a friend at the park to break it down and force you into make the needed adjustments. Jumping feels so much more natural now. Must keep practicing!!
It was so awesome to see you confidently hitting those jumps with that beautiful arch Rob. Glad I was able to help. Now we need to take that to Mt Penn and get you over #3. It's happening!!! Sage
Progression is SO much fun! And jumping is SO much fun! A very addictive duo!! LOL! So stoked Sage was able to help you unlock your jumping skills. You totally got this Rob!! - Dan
Thanks for the compliments and shout out Dan! Riding with you guys was fun, you and Antoine were both super nice. Also never seen a follow cam of myself before so that was awesome to watch. We should ride again some time for sure! Liked seeing this podcast not being able to ride for the next 2 weeks. Keeps me sane to think about bikes. -Sean
You're an awesome rider!! Those climbs are NO JOKE!! So impressive. We should def ride again soon. Let me know when you're available and we'll make it happen! - Dan
I always appreciate you using clips of me when you talk about jumping techniques. Sage I know you and I have spent time turning laps at the bike park I have seen you progress to take on things you didn't think you could do. Especially when we both were gapping the wooden drop into the first jump. I'm always down to help anyone, and there is great community overall at PXV bike park. Looked like you guys had a big turn out this passed weekend, sad I missed the session!
Ryan you have been a tremendous help and inspiration to me. Thank you for taking an old head like me under your wing. I just acquired a used DJ from a buddy so I will be looking to you for some more advice next time. Sage
Gapping the drop into the 1st jump!!?! I haven't heard about this yet!! So cool!! Ryan, you're jumps skills are only matched by your positive vibes!! Mtb'ers are awesome!! Miss you boys at PHXBP but I'll be back soon enough. I'll work on my DJ skills in the meantime! - Dan
Love this podcast❤ cool set up intro at the start! I’m a new subscriber 🎉Thanks for crashing for me 😂. I like dirt jumpers, but for pump tracks only and even race masters level (slowly)
Thank you for watching, commenting and sending us your positive vibes!! And you're welcome for us crashing so you don't need to! LOL!! I was dirt jumper on pump track only for a long time... now I'm trying to get that little bike in the air. Scary but that's progression for you!! - Dan
Hi guys 🤗tip for Dan: play games with your girls to build bike skills. Follow the leader, bike soccer, bike limbo, circle of death (I’m sure someone has a better name for that one) and don’t let them know it’s a skills session. NICA and Little Bella’s are great at this but you can do it yourself - gimme a call for details. Kids are sponges but they don’t usually want skills sessions so you have to sneak em in 🤫
Fantastic tips Shelly! I'll have to do some research. We just bought a portable mtb jump to practice on in the neighborhood! I'm excited to see what happens!! - Dan
For the dirt jumpers, Ari is releasing two models soon! One is a traditional dirt jumper with 26" wheels and the other is a pump track bike with 27.5" wheels. The 27.5" is single speed, but can also be setup with a cassette.
Oh that's really interesting. Specialized has a 27.5" DJ as well. I feel like the 26" wheels are better for lippy jumps... but maybe the 27.5" would feel more and more like a MTB, which could be helpful. Def curious about that! And gears would be nice in some places... the pedal to the top of Desert Trails Bike Park is a decent little climb... gears would save the legs! - Dan
I like Dennis more and more! Smart dude!! LOL! Your content is getting better & better Dennis!! Unlimited progression, stoke, joy, passion and success!! (and handsomeness) - Dan
Loved the "everything happens for me, not to me" that's some seriously insightful stuff. Depends on the kind of jumps for the kind of bike I'd prefer to be honest! Downhill and enduro bikes rip park jumps so well but I'll take a modern trail bike for pretty much anything else!
Bike park jumps feel so different to some of the DJ and BMX jumps out there. I'm really curious how the DJ jump skills may translate to the bike park next spring! Your area has some good DJ/BMX jumps spots, right? Are you close to Germantown bike park? Would be VERY curious to hear what you think of jumping a DJ! Could be a good Sploosh vid too!? - Dan
Sage, you mentioned that you were favoring a dirt jumper over an Ebike for your next bike. I am also in the market for either a dirt jumper or an Ebike. I am torn as to which one to pick. I see the obvious pros and cons to each. What are your main reasons for leaning dirt jumper over an ebike?
Hey Mark. The biggest reason is, I think the DJ will take my confidence in the air (and technique) to the next level. I still want an ebike, but given the cost difference, I think I can get more from the DJ at this point. Plus I'm pretty fit so sessioning on an analog is not terrible. Sage
@@RideLaughPodcast Good points. I do want to get better at downhilling so an Ebike might be better for me but I think I would put more hours on a dj. Lots to weigh here. I guess I just have to buy both
@@povtrails1219 N+2! LOL! We discuss this a lot in the next pod... b/c I was surprised when Sage started saying he'd want a DJ before an e-bike. They both can really level you up. It's a good conversation! Let us know which you get 1st & how it goes!! - Dan

Keep up the good work coaching Sage!
Thanks Fred!!! Mt Creek with you boys sounds like a good time. Let's do it! Sage

When Dan says he’s unlimited, I always just assumed it was about how handsome he was.
Thanks for the love guys.

I forgot about the DH bike, add that to my list, lol. You would absolutely rip on a DJ Zane. Would your shop let you borrow one? Sage
@RideLaughPodcast more than likely yeah, i could probably get on a specialized P2 as that would be their main carried one!
