The original version of "Moonlight" from ISONIGHTS had slow drums in the background before I decided to go full on piano melody. I had to wonder how this track would have turned out had I kept the drums.
Towards the end of last year I came up with the whole melody in one night. When it got to the drums, I remembered that thought about the original version of Moonlight and layed out a similar pattern of drums, and everything fell into place.
This track came about while working on "blue." Since it was far different from the energy and sound of that project, I cut it out which was the perfect move as this was the one track that inspired the concept of "ME. MYSELF. ISOLATION."
At the time I knew I had a beautiful grail on my hands. Little did I know what was to come the next day...
