I gotta say I’m really enjoying these videos. That looks like a truly beautiful part of the world. The scenery is spectacular. Definitely KLR country. Thanks so much. 👍🇦🇺
Good vid. Looking through the windscreen most of the time is my only gripe. Incredible riding and scenery. Just did this entire loop on a bone-stock 1988, yes, 1988 KLR 650 that I picked up for $1300. Ran Shinko 804 and 805 tires. Did the suspension suck? Yes. Did the seat suck? Yes. The footpegs suck? Yes. BUT, it was the perfect bike for this trip. Left my GS in the garage in CO. Can't wait to get the KLR out on the next adventure.
I really enjoyed this video and wanted to acknowledge the great work you have done sharing this trip. I see that you have not posted a video in quite some time and just wanted to check in to see if you are OK?. I know from experience with my channel that life sometimes becomes busy and RUclips video/film making can also take some of the fun out of these trips. Please just let us know that you are doing well and enjoying your summer. Thanks, John
Great ride, man! Call of the Wild is an awesome game, also! I played that game for a few years. Can't tell you how many times my buddy and I have been taken out by bison lol. Keep up the awesome videos!
Another RUclipsr called " Some Guy Rides is always saying he is going to die because of such beautiful views he sees while he is on his bike. He calls it " Death By View " Great to see your videos. Keep them coming. I love seeing another KLR rider video. I love mine!!!!
If your going to ride that aggressively, i would 86 that tank bag so you can sit all the way forward and stop the front end from washing out so bad in the corners. Great ride by the way
I just did that very same BDR rout in this episode, I swear the same cows too. I did it on my 2023 KTM 890 Adventure R so I did it faster because the KTM just wants to race where ever it goes. Did the hard rout up to Bear mountain lookout too, cost was one windscreen.
Fun video series so far. I do have some observations though. You way overloaded your bike and you also don't appear to have practiced riding with the bike fully loaded. Personally, I like to practice with about 20 pounds more than what my actual loadout will be which does two things. It makes sure I can handle my bike with everything on it and it also makes it so I'm ready if I should pick up a few souvenirs or end up needing to add extra food/water for a portion of the ride. You should work on your terrain reading and off road skills on the KLR as well so handling the terrain will become so easy that you can ride almost entirely by feel which will let you take in the scenery without those "oh shit" moments. Motocross and hard enduro training help a lot for adventure riding. My racing experience enabled me to take my KLR across the Rubicon Trail. Anyway, this looks like one hell of an adventure and I hope to put my DRZ or my KLR on that BDR one day!
@LostOnTwoWheels I'm 205 before gear and did progressive front... haven't resprung the rear shock yet but either way you go new springs make a world of difference. I did steel braided brake lines, new pads, and the Tusk oversized front rotor.... its like a different bike now in the TN hills and mountains
Great scenery attitude. As for getting killed, gazing at scenery, "STOP ... and smell the roses!" "It's not the destination (time); it's the journey!"
Discoveror9576, this is the truth I'm learning. Stop racing back to the time clock. Thanks for the comment!

impatiently waiting for the next one!
Working on it, I had to buy two more hard drives, ran out of space!

Can't wait to see more! Great job on the editing and narration! What RV is it that you have?
Thanks! That's an Intech Explore, works great for this purpose.
Wheres the rest of the videos? A movie with no ending...lol
Good job! SD is nice riding compared to MN!
Yes the landscape is breath taking, I will definitely be riding out there more.
When will new vids be released? :).
What app are you using to find these trails?
@@rubbersole79 you can download the gpx files from the BDR website. Search South Dakota BDRx you should find it
Was that it?
Do you have progressive springs on the KLR or just stock?
Hi Drew - suspension is all stock, really been eyeing the Cogent setup though for some more versatility.

I want all these upgrades!!
I got parts from rocky mountain moto and atv, tusk lines and rotor kit, ebc pads, progressive front springs. All under 500
Sick videos! I think he's answer is yes to the KLR. Doesn't do anything well but it's an awesome tool to learn on and will do it all
Are you still making videos?
