JT Michaelson yes indeed!! I love it too!! But my all time most fave song is Here Comes My Girl. It was always so important to Tom that his songs made an impact on others and that particular one certainly did on me. I was a junior in hs at the time and it was such a sad and difficult time in my life. I still keep a copy of Damn the Torpedoes in my car and I’m 56 now

Allyn - once again thank you so much for uploading this!! WOW!!! I’ve seen the video of his speech at this awards presentation, but I didn’t even know he and the HBs performed that night. And it’s kinda funny actually, I’ve heard songs by the Bangles played like 3 x this past week on the Sirius XM Tom Petty radio station. At first I was like say whaattt? Tom liked the Bangles?? Personally I love ALL 80s music and remember the Bangles’s songs very well from back then. It’s awesome to see this and to know how much he respected artists from all kinds of genres, including those with amazing singing voices!!! And then well there’s our wonderful and amazing Stevie too. Tom and Stevie has the absolute most wonderful duet ever IMHO. Thank you so much again Allyn, for posting this!!

Not surprised. If you look at Billboard hits, the Bangles had more hits than the GoGo's or any other all female band. Six top ten hits on the billboard charts. Not sure why they don't get more attention for the HOF.

it is to prevent computer scans finding possible copyright material; some rotate the video clip 45 degrees for same reason. it's actually quite nicely done in comparison
