I just finished watching the whole build, I gotta say you did an amazing job! I'm mentally getting ready to build a stand for my own tank and I've been watching many build videos on RUclips to pick up as many helpful idea's as I can. Your videos have contributed a lot towards that so I thank you. I'm nowhere near as skilled as you are but I have built one stand in the past which I think turned out pretty good considering my somewhat minimal woodworking experience. I'm hoping that this next stand turns out even better.

Thanks for the comment, and kind words. This is my second aquarium stand I’ve built. The first was 180 gallon that I did 8 years ago. I learned from all the things I didn’t like about that one and fixed them on this one. After having this one a few years I wouldn’t mind getting a bigger tank and doing another stand video. Thanks again for watching 🙏.

Awesome job! My neighbor is going to help me build a stand for my future 125g tank. But mine is just for my bigger African chichld tanks. I do have a 28g nanocube and a IM 10g nano reef tanks. Hehe. Subscribed.

Great video, I love seeing new canopy designs especially! One wish is that you spent a bit more time on the hinge for the whole front panel....those 180+ degree hinges can be done in a few different ways and I would have loved to see how you solved it :)

Thanks for the comment. I got a little excited that it was almost done and kind of skipped over that part.

This is TOO COOL! You need more subscribers. Have you thought about making one on a smaller scale? Maybe for a ten-gallon?

Thanks 🙏, and I agree haha. My brother is wanting something for a 40 gallon sometime, so I’ll probably build a smaller one at some point.

I used Valspar oil based cabinet enamel from Lowe’s. It says cabinet and furniture on the front of the can.

What wood did you use for the stand and canopy?

    • @ekgwoodworks2931

The main frame was just 2x4s that I milled the radii off. All the other wood I used was just pine.
