Thank you for a lovely season of Harmony Reads, I will miss it! I have Kim to thank for bringing Agatha Christie back into my life (hadn't read her books in at least 15 yrs) but I can't fault you for needing a break. My reading tends to slow down in the warmer months too and a hobby should never feel like a chore. Perhaps harmony reads can return in the cooler months as a small segment of the knitting podcast where only one book is discussed a week rotating who picks it between the 3 of you so it's not too much of a burden, or something to the like to keep it simple.
Thanks for a great show as always! I understand needing to take a break until the demands of summer are over. We look forward to hearing about summer reads in the autumn! Take care ladies! Always love your podcast!
I get it. Summer is outside Time, for me, gardening and knitting outside. It is when the cooling comes and hibernating season approaches, that I turn to reading again. This has been enlightening and fun. You are all 3 such great company!!!❤
Yes, we understand about Harmony Reads! I have been wondering how you all have been able to keep up week after week. And spring and outdoor activities are here!!
I'll miss you on the off Friday. I enjoy your book and knitting talks immensely. I completely understand the workload and time constraints. I have been wondering how you keep all those balls up in the air. Happy Summer!
Thank you for taking so much of your time reading and introducing me some new books for my shelf. I don’t know how you kept everything going!! Enjoy your well deserved break and see you if harmony reads returns. If not, that’s ok too. ❤
Thank you for the reading podcasts, I have found them really interesting. I think I will go back and re-read North and South as it is many years since I read it. Enjoy the summer and maybe there will be a way for you to return in the Autumn. 🇬🇧
Finis! We are all at the mercy of what is called, vaguely, logarithms. I admire you so much for trying something new - Thank you thank you for the 22 reading episodes. See you on the knitting side, then. Xx
@@FleeceHarmonyPodcastmaybe we can have a RAL during a KAL - we could find a book readily available online (Google books? Or some such) and we can ALL read it together while we knit and have a natter. The logarithms should not boss us around! We will not be defeated! Xx
Thank you, ladies! You’re book insights and suggestions will be missed but, honestly, I could hardly keep up! Now I can work my way through my stack. Whew! 😉
Thank you for the sharing you've done. My reading includes three of your titles right now, two on audio and one hardcover. Count of MC, North and South, and Homecoming. 😊 I enjoyed two, so far, of the Lesley Crewe titles, and I'm grateful for that! Enjoy your summer reading! I love my public library! 📚
That was FuN, ladies...as usual, you've made me laugh along with you and you've inspired to read some books I may never have chosen...I will miss these chats and your enthusiastic and honest reviews but I get it ! It was fun while it lasted...Enjoy the summer and I'll keep looking forward to the knitting podcast. Thanks ❣
It’s good to heed your energy, and to take a break! Would you consider having Harmony Reads be shorter, and be a chapter in the knitting podcast? Since you already do chapters, people could skip if they aren’t interested in books. I have really enjoyed your book talks, and have read or added books to my TBR based upon your discussions. Happy summer reading!
I am already missing the reading podcasts. They have grown on me. I have yet to go back to the early episodes so it’s not over yet but I get how precious and overwhelming our limited time can be. Thanks so much for all you efforts and sharing!!!😊❤
My comment connects to your remarks around 17:00. Hubs and I have been watching clips from The Best of Groucho on RUclips. He had a tv show (mid '50s) called You Bet Your Life. PLEASE look it up if you want a shock. He actually asks the ladies their ages, comments on their figures if they are sexy looking, AND makes fun of them if they are heavy. He also asked a muscular looking guy to take his shirt off. He also blows his stinky cigar smoke straight into the contestants' faces throughout the show. Aaah, the good ole days...?? Very often I catch myself thinking in blocks of 30 years. How in the heck am I old enough to do that?!
I certainly understand you ladies needing some time to take care of busy lives. I just want to say how much I enjoy Harmony Reads. Many vlogs include a section about what they are reading. Mostly I end when that starts. Mostly because the genre of books and movies are just not my cup of tea. But you have been right up my alley. I have watched every episode. Have a good summer and I do hope you can find time to return. In the meantime I will continue to enjoy the regular Fleece and Harmony episodes.
I absolutely loved reading the Birth House. I was on bed rest with my first child learning to knit and immersing myself in stories. I will miss your reading podcasts because you have shared so many interesting books that I would not have tried. Your recommendations were great and I am so thankful for the suggestions and introduction to new Canadian writers:
I understand your reasons for your hiatus but I am really going to miss your banter. I’m in Alberta and have never been your way. Would love to do it one day.
Enjoy your summer off, but please consider starting a new channel for Harmony reads. I have read many of your suggestions, with a few on my to be read list. 💕
I very much enjoyed Harmony Reads and I hope this is not the end, but I hate to think of it being a chore for you all. See you all next week for the knitting, you have a great dynamic together.
I'm so like Simone with the romance part. I'm watching a FBI TV series at the moment, which would be good if the school kid "getting together" wasn't in it. I'm the same with books, skim through it.
It was great while it lasted...totally get it. Have to get the Kate Morton book for the Summer. Totally agree with you Simone about the Romantic thing. Although I did enjoy the Outlander series but I was much younger then. Can't even watch two people kiss now...ewwww.😂 see you next weekend Harmony knits. 🇨🇦🥰Sharon.
Sorry to see this podcast end, but I understand! You can always throw in a short book review/mention in your regular podcast if there is a book that really moved you :). We'd love to hear about it! Then, there's no pressure!
I was going to say something nasty about paul Gallico but i am trying he is extremely trying at times. He is the reason i read the last chapter before shelling out money for a book must admit there are wrirts like lois McMaster Bujold i dont even bother reading the blurb before i buy the book darn writers are getting old and dying. 🖖🧓👍🙄💖💓💗💚🌟🍀🌟🍀🌟💚
Thank you for interesting discoveries, even of old classics.
You are welcome!

I like this idea.
Thanks for the suggestion!
I will really miss this podcast. I have picked up some great books to read and really looked forward to listening to you-all. But thank you!
You are welcome!

Thanks Robin!

We had fun too. It really got me back to reading which I was missing.
Will miss this but totally understand. Thanks for the series.
You are welcome!

Thanks Elaine!
I have enjoyed Harmony Reads so much! Thank you.
You are welcome!
Have a good summer break, for the reading podcast ! I'll miss the laughters and teasing, but I guess they will still be in the knitting podcast. 😉
Oh yes that will all still be in the knitting podcast!
Finis! We are all at the mercy of what is called, vaguely, logarithms. I admire you so much for trying something new - Thank you thank you for the 22 reading episodes. See you on the knitting side, then. Xx
Yes - at their mercy is exactly right. It is pretty annoying actually!

I certainly have a long "to read" list thanks to you ladies. Enjoy your summer!
Our pleasure!

Public libraries are the best!

We haven't decided what we will do or if we will pursue it. We will see how we feel at the end of the summer.

Thank you for watching Susan!

Yes it is hard to believe what was going on back then, compared to today.
Thank you ladies, I always love your podcasts knitting and reading. Enjoy the summer and comeback in the fall 📚
We will see you on the knitting podcast as usual every two weeks!
I certainly understand you ladies needing some time to take care of busy lives. I just want to say how much I enjoy Harmony Reads. Many vlogs include a section about what they are reading. It was fun! One of the problems was that we all wanted to read the books that one or the other us already read!
I have enjoyed the book discussion but if you do decide to continue it maybe once a month may be a better option.
Thanks Denise!
I understand your reasons for your hiatus but I am really going to miss your banter. I’m in Alberta and have never been your way. Would love to do it one day.
Come for the fibre festival!
aaah too bad. I did enjoy these book videos. Maybe you can do a little book report once a month or something in the Fall in the knitting videos?
We will see what happens by the end of the summer.
Enjoy your summer off, but please consider starting a new channel for Harmony reads. I have read many of your suggestions, with a few on my to be read list. 💕
We are considering it. We will see in the fall.
I've loved Harmony Reads sharing with us. If you do find a way to continue it in the fall, I'll be there with you
Awww - thanks!
I'll miss Harmony Reads....but I understand 😊
Thanks for understanding!
I very much enjoyed Harmony Reads and I hope this is not the end, but I hate to think of it being a chore for you all.

Yes - the "getting together" in those shows is superfluous in this shows. Just give us the suspense and solve the crime!

I with you Simone; the romantic stuff- ugh!!
Not real life
😀

Yes you do come to love (or dislike) some authors...
