Samujelli as a rider of a 300exc with supermoto conversion. I'd rather have the 125 grom for the road lol. It's fun but 2 strokes are horribly impractical for the road. I got my ktm just for the track, it was just a bonus the previous owner got it road legal.
A C H haha, 30hp at the back wheel, 170kmh top speed rotax made power plant moped, suppose nsr500 sound like a moped to you as well! Jesus rimming Christ, there is nothing more beautiful sounding than a 2st, except my 998s maybe. My grom sounds like a lawnmower
Z125 Stock fires have the same problem. They’re expensive to replace with OEM and they’re junk tires and do not corner well at all. I’ve replaced the stock tires with a wider series Michelin Pro street tire and they’re MUCH better handling wise. Great fun for sure and another great video! Thanks from the Tampa Bay Area!
renynzea In 2016 is when they changed the body style but they called it a 2017 because they made it halfway thru the year i liked the original one better till i sat on the newer one but they both are awesome bikes
The headlight on the newer model looks like a scaled down sport bike. The older model looks like they took a headlight off a like 2001 zr7 or something. It just doesn’t fit the bike at all
The wheels on the older models are better quality and lighter weight. Also, starting with the 18 Honda lengthened the maintenance intervals of some items like valve clearance every 4000 miles instead of the 2500 miles of other years. Makes me wonder if something changed in the motor or materials. And yes, get some Mitas or PMT tires to replace those hard plastic feeling OEM tires.
TSTindustries i highly doubt Suzuki will the only bikes they seem to care about these days are there large cc bikes they havnt release a new small capacity bike for years
Lexie Cassel youre looking at the wrong countries mate. Europe has the Gsx r125 and south east asia (specifically Indonesia where the gsx r125/150 chassis originates) has the 150cc. I personally own the 150cc, check it out online
I haven't owned any OGs myself but it seems like the engine and transmission are exactly the same between the OG/SF, lots of engine/trans parts say 13-20
QUESTION: So if someone had a Grom Clone and wanted some TST industries frame sliders, would TST sliders Work? and what if I bought a pair and got them home to realize they didn't fit, what is the return policy?
We have a 30-day, hassle-free return policy as long as the items are like-new and in their original packaging. We have no information on whether or not these sliders will fit any other models.
That really has to be up to you. I would suggest that you do some reading into the statistics of accidents between bikes with and without ABS. My personal experience with ABS will do nothing for you. I am sorry I can't help with this very much but this really should be apersonal choice.
Ok I know this has been asked on several Grom related videos but I’m 200lbs and 6’2” I’m not expecting anything more than a new toy to kill time with around the city will I be to big for this thing
I am 6'0" and fluctuate between 175 and 190 lb. Cramped but still fun. I have seen dudes a lot bigger than me take these bikes on little cart tracks and still have a bunch of fun.
What clutch and brake levers do you have on these Groms, and if they're fairly pricey, what would you suggest as a budget friendly alternative? Thanks in advance!
We use Womet-Tech on these bikes. This is a partner company from Europe that supplies their parts to us, and also machines some of our own designs. These are engineered parts, not copies like you find at low prices. You get what you pay for so choose wisely.
TSTindustries I love the Womet-Tech levers on my grom. Getting an R3 this week🤞and that is one of the first mods I want to do. Hoping you have the same thing for R3.
I have one of 2017(2018 plate) model, but seriously, put a 250 engine on it; on the slightest incline, the machine feels like a snail. It has plenty of room for a 250 engine.
It’s ok when you live everywhere but the uk in the uk no one can help with up grading my grom places I’ve been cannot fit upgrades properly wish I lived in USA to get decent help
There's a few riders over 300lbs that ride these. I ride 2-up a lot. I'm 200lbs and my wife is 110lbs. It'll do 50mph with both of us on it. So you'll be fine.
I'd say they are great bikes to start out on the track for say kids and even adults alike but obviously the power you guys are used to are 600s and above but its still good fun all the more!
I think people give Honda way too much credit. This bike is awesome but so easy to do and should have been done so long ago. Like this is very past due all the way around
Nope. The Navi is made to look somewhat like a first gen Grom but is much different mechanically. The drive train is like that of a scooter, and some other big differences that make if a pretty far departure from the Grom.
The tyres umm??🤔... I can send you lots of images of the lads getting there knee down on standard tyres.. must be your riding fella.. basically learn how to ride properly init!!!
After buying 2 groms, same year, same dealer, diff colors... I can tell you that Honda doesn’t put the same tires on all of them. Must just be whatever is available when they ship. I even looked at their site to see if a specific brand of tire was supposed to be on the bike but they only indicate size. My tires even have a different tread pattern than the tires on my husbands bike.
The exhaust on the newer one makes Me fall in love with the bike!
Tarmio Lerse it’s aftermarket, there is a video where it’s installed
The honda grom. The only 125 I would be jealous of when someone says they ride a 125.
I'd much rather ride an KTM EXC 125 with Supermoto tires and wheels. But of course, that's just my opinion.
Samujelli as a rider of a 300exc with supermoto conversion. I'd rather have the 125 grom for the road lol. It's fun but 2 strokes are horribly impractical for the road. I got my ktm just for the track, it was just a bonus the previous owner got it road legal.
Umm, the only?? what about 2ST Aprilia RS125, NSR125, TZR125, RGV125, 7-speed Cagiva Mito 125 2ST...?
1971 Honda SL125**

The 2017 Grom looks hi-tech and badass
Facts
Check my Grom out guys/Gals.Two years of making it trick. From forks, airbox, pipe and muffler, tyres, brakes, chain and sprockets, ect, ect.
Fact!
I like the simplicity of the old one. The 2nd gen's a transformer IMHO. Never like the transformers
@@crypticreality8484 The old gen is nice too but the back view, the 2nd gen looks better

I'd go for the 13-16 on looks. The 17 looks like a transformer.
renynzea In 2016 is when they changed the body style but they called it a 2017 because they made it halfway thru the year i liked the original one better till i sat on the newer one but they both are awesome bikes
I think the new fairings look so much better. Especially the headlight on the older model, looks absolutely hideous in my opinion

@@ickypowwow6635 In my opinion, the older model headlight looks like a creature with one large eye
OG all day every day.
actually seeing them side by side I'm liking the og grom!!!
the new grom looks cool
Melvin Frazier I'm jealous
Melvin Frazier I just bought a 2019 honestly it’s not slow for what it is I cruise at 60-65 easy for something that small it’s perfect
Thanks for the Video!!! Im 15 OG all day long and love it!!
Randy Autrand I am too
Can't wait to get my 17!

I want Suzuki to release one even a 12" drz 125 super moto would be cool
That would be pretty fun. Hopefully Yamaha and Suzuki jump in the game one day.
TSTindustries i highly doubt Suzuki will the only bikes they seem to care about these days are there large cc bikes they havnt release a new small capacity bike for years

I miss my Grom. Regrets are real
Same.
Why are those guys wearing suits that are 5 sizes too big?
I love it when u take us to Bushnell! I wanna go too!
It's a nice track, owned and operated by great people. If you have the chance you should go.
Be cool to do this with the sp model now
Gonna need another comparison once the Monkey and new Cub release.
If I buy in the future a new honda grom, is it possible to remove those awful headlight and install the old circle one?
IMPOSSIBLE
What were the tyres?
2015 all day 💪🏼
Some kid said the og had a stronger cam supposedly
Never noticed any difference in power delivery between the two
I haven't owned any OGs myself but it seems like the engine and transmission are exactly the same between the OG/SF, lots of engine/trans parts say 13-20

Why do all of the motorcycle channels use the same porn music?
A better question is why do all porn videos use motorcycle channel music?
Never laughed so hard at a random comment on RUclips like I did with this one 🤣 😂 💀
For someone who is new to riding and is getting a grom would you suggest getting a grom with or without abs on it ?
That really has to be up to you. I would suggest that you do some reading into the statistics of accidents between bikes with and without ABS. My personal experience with ABS will do nothing for you. I am sorry I can't help with this very much but this really should be apersonal choice.
Stupid question: do they have clutch & gears?? Or is it like a Honda CT110 clutch?
They both have clutches.
4 gears but the new 2021 has 5

Heck yaah!! I got the 2015 grom love it!!
OG all day everyday, and they cost less so that's another plus side
I like the old one
we like them both
Taking my kp mini to bushnell next weekend who rahh
Where did you get the graphics kit decals/sticker? Looks awesome.
That's Gabe's bike. He bought that on clearance somewhere for a stupid cheap price. That was a long time ago though.
Love the lod model
need some advice on how to install a tail rack with the TST fender elim. if anyone has done it please let me know how and what product!
We will have to leave this one to other viewers. You can also check on the forums. You will likely have more success there.
Whole body suit with a grom? Seems appropriate...
Race tracks require a full suit. And besides, nobody wants to risk bodily damage even in a small bike crash.
Wish tst would design a skid plate so i can buy 2 bikes , 1 for road , 1 for off road
I don't think we will be making a part like you are describing. There just isn't enough demand for it.
I have one of 2017(2018 plate) model, but seriously, put a 250 engine on it; on the slightest incline, the machine feels like a snail.
It has plenty of room for a 250 engine.
I want to know the difference from a 2017 all the way up to a 2020 I feel they are the exact bike
Pretty much the same bike but they did introduce the ABS version in 2018 so it's just two models...ABS and non
It’s ok when you live everywhere but the uk in the uk no one can help with up grading my grom places I’ve been cannot fit upgrades properly wish I lived in USA to get decent help
Sorry to hear that. There has to be a good shop somewhere....maybe you didn't turn over enough stones yet.
love the vid not so much on the music
What tires do you guys use on your groms?
Those bikes were on the stock tires the Groms come with.
Grom life is the best life 🤙
Great comparison thank you

you guys dont get 150cc sport bikes?
No, thats an asian thing :/

Nice video😄
The factory tires are horrible, change them immediately.
OG's fosho
My 2020 came with the garbage Vee rubbers... I slid as well...
Yup...we noticed that is a pattern.
In asia we call this bikr is MSX 125
they call them that too but thats their code, like how you call the GSXR 1300 the "hayabusa" or the CBR1000RR the "fireblade"
Same in Europe. Grom is only their American marketing name.
So the Honda Navi its an old Honda Grom
Nope. The Navi is made to look somewhat like a first gen Grom but is much different mechanically. The drive train is like that of a scooter, and some other big differences that make if a pretty far departure from the Grom.
Have you guys tried the ssr razkal or vader ?
We have not
