- Work in Progress. Posted 1 week after the DLC dropped, and will be posting an updated finished version soon.
I've been asked a ton of times "how did you build so much without going over your build limit", so I will leave that here for future reference: Simply drop a bunch of weapons in your settlement, and pick them back up using the "store" function in Workshop mode. Rinse and repeat as needed. Your size meter will go down, but you run the risk of bugs, crashes and a terrible frame rate whenever you're in your settlement. The negative affects have not been a factor to me. Use at your own calculated risk.
I really like how you used simple game mechanics to manipulate it in your favor. Honestly this is the best vault I've seen. Good job, you definitely deserve it.
But it is too big with long passages.
Anyways free cardio for vault dwellers. 😂
this is really creative. inspiring stuff
"(*PS4* no mods)" :(
The bar is really close to the school better make sure the kids don't sneak in 😆
Yeah
Thank you for this video. I've been having trouble trying to figure out a creative way to do my vault(After dozens of tries) and you have given me so many ideas!
Hunter Domingue that's why I uploaded ! glad it helped
Robert Hayes what dlc do i need?
your vault is definitely one of my favorites. I love the clinic
Erika Temple thanks :) I actually made a much better one since then with mods, I may post that soon
Well I personally haven't tried mods yet I wanu get platinum first. Totally looking forward to your other vid
Sitting here thinking "wow amazing vault I want that I might copy it? Wait nvm I'll get lost"
I actually did have to make maps during construction. I just googled a
map of the cave and wrote in some locations. Took a long time to really
get the lay of the land
It also helped me a lot to section off the different "rooms" and corridors of the cave so it didn't feel like I was wandering through a vast open space deciding what to build. The initial build area is overwhelming
those corridor make the vault seems so large even the overall dimension is limited
wow, this is very impressive , it gives me inspiration when I start working on my build
I know I'm super late to the party. I recently started replaying Fallout 4 and really getting into building up 88, though I've just started. This is so incredibly impressive. Way better than I could probably ever build. Good job. Happen to remember how long it took you to build all this?
I'm on ps4 too and IU always struggle with my V88. these are such great ideas: Welcome center in atrium with front desk, Personal Armory, Security Room! great job man!
Hi, this vault is the best I have see without mods. I was on here looking for inspiration, because I didn't know what to put in my vault, but after watching this video, I Will definitely take some pointers. Thanks and keep it up. 👍👌
Thank you for this I will try to make something like this!
Wow, this is one nice build! Going to copy some of your ideas. The cavern is pretty nice! Good job mate!
if you improve my ideas post it, thats why i put this up in the first place
cool vault man my favourite thing was your production line that was awesome and the vault room with all the guns
yours is so cool!! I love how you made personalized rooms for your followers. and your hydroponics room 😍 stealing your idea with the Arch misters!
Wow this vault is huge! Good job
This is amazing. I wish you had a build tutorial
this looks epic!
How did you find the resources to build all this? I keep running out
Good question, that was a difficult part to deal with.
I basically had Vault 88 and Sanctuary produce as much Purified Water as possible, and whenever I needed shipments, I would trade the water in. I had about 300 water between the 2 places, and it was generating as fast as I was spending it, so it worked out very well.
With good stats, you'll get 16 caps per water
Only 300?
Bitch I get 850+. Get on my level.
I just didn't want to invite constant attacks, since you need to keep your defense above your food+water levels. Although, producing so much water would make it easy to afford the resources to build defenses, I was fine with producing enough water to build this vault for free
Although, I'm sure It wouldn't take more than 10 minutes to amass the necessary recourses to build the Water Purifiers you have, you must be very proud. Never forget the sacrifices of this brave pioneer!
I tried to make a vault, got about... a forth of the way through making it and hit build cap. I had to use that glitch just to decorate the rooms I had up at the time and some of the lighting. Hopefully mod support will help make vaults a real thing you can build without glitching it to a point where your frame rate tanks every time you turn your head. I feel better about the Murkwater Prison I built to house the Mirelurk Queen than my vault honestly :( and I built it pre-DLC, any DLC
I can't get the power reactor to connect to rooms like cafeteria it only connects to atrium stuff. I tried putting atrium floors under the cafeteria but still no power. it's really annoying can someone help!
Best vault i have ever seen lots of RUclipsrs make a armoury and and their's are puny compared to yours yours is amazing and I have not seen anyone make a manufacturing room in other words great job
thanks!
I know this was a long time ago, well done by the way, but how do you get over the " build limit"?
Without mods, the build limit can be overcome by dropping items from your inventory and picking them back up in workshop mode. The workshop treats that as if you scrapped something
Awesome! There are many things I like and I left section empty also, seal them up. But you use them something I never thought of. I hope you don't mind I might copy some of them. I didn't know you could set bed for VIP character each quarter.
The vault has a large feeling of a maze. Also, how did you get the vault doors, wall conduits and get everything within the build limit? Not to mention getting the concrete walls to actually work.
You really build a great piece of architecture, but in my opinion, the rooms are big - but almost empty. Really, is not possible build and maintain a Vault without any mods. After all, congratulations for your great work! The Vault 88 is the better place to apply creativity.
this was a work in progress, finished version coming soon. thanks!
Robert Hayes you what how long did it take to do this?
Whered You Get The Plants And Cafeteria Seating Chairs Where Nick Was Ordering?
Love the vault dude! Great job!!!
That's pretty cool and big! Good showcase! Thx for sharing this. ☺️
very impressive
Nice job. Well done!
wow looks great
Where did you get the corpse.
How did you build so much? I don't have nearly this much and I'm at 75%
ENPalomo if you empty your inventory in the ground and place it in your workshops it frees up space.
so cute how you made them their own rooms
the Rep earned a suite from Vault Tec, I'd say
your vault is like ogres- GOT LAYERS
HOW?! HOW? I tried to set up a Vault 88 of my own and half the stuff wont work and you have made use of the entire Vault. I had to pick up my jaw at how shocked i am to see at how EPIC that Vault looks, mine looks like trash compare to the super vault like that. Im extremely jealous of this.
Impressive! And with no mods! 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
I wouldn’t even have the patience for this build
How did you get your vault dwellers to "eat" at the cafeteria? Mine keeps skipping meals for soda.
Any attacks from raides inside the Vault?
I don't care whether you use mods or not this this is amazing, the only thing is it would have been nice if you had decorated the residential areas more
I agree, but I was just so bored making bedrooms, I wanted to move on to other stuff. I didnt put enough time in that wing
i'll probably put up a more finished version soon
Im really jealous of your atrium. I have a three story giant one, but yours looks like it would have been the excact one wich vault tec wpuld have made, just without the furniture. You should do a tutorial
really good!
That's a really good vault you did.
I gave up playing this dlc… I almost broke my tv I was so pissed how hard it is to connect these tiles… it’s frustrating af
Great job buddy
Wow, just wow
amazing good job !!!!
Nice work on the vault.
Thanks!
I'm not expexting a response since this video is like 7 years old, but how did you build all thos without mods? The build limits in this game are atrocious o.O
There's a way to get around the build limit
Drop your inventory, and pick it back up using the "store" function in workshop mode. You're stuff goes to the workbench storage and your build limit meter decreases
How did you build this much? I feel like youd have to use the limit glitch, massive vault. nice work!
looks sweet. wish there was some build footage to see how you did it
Holy crap it's huge and awesome. You must of spent at least a month making that
I see you didn't update the build? I looked forward to any new tours you can produce.
Is there a tutorial video on how to build this? 😂😂 I'd love it if there was
Great job man
yow!!! where can i find thos plants decor?
good Job!
Impressive, do you have more settlements to share? You build very lore friendly and I don't know any other build that's nearly as good as this one
Tons, I should be putting up a few more soon
+Robert Hayes plz do! this kinda stuff inspires me :D
Sorry at the side of your vault
I absolutely love this vault, I've kinda copied your atrium, had a decent one myself but yours is just so much better, I've seen all the fallout 4 builders but you and jug are the best two, you're both so good, better than that norespawns guy, his are shite compared to yours
Dale Docker I never really thought this would get attention, and I never really thought it would compete with well known builders, so thanks ! I've never even uploaded before, I just worked so hard on it that I felt like I needed to share or it would've been a waste!
love it man good job
A+ for you Robert! :D
If this is without mods, then how did you get those power armor stations with lights
It's under display
Do you know how to get them green army barricades at the side of the vault as you walk in
how did you get that brotherhood scribe to your settlement?
The Scribe is one of the unique vendors you can recruit to your settlement, he's an Armor merchant. He is a very rare random encounter, and he has some useful unique legendary items. You can look up a way to farm his specific encounter, there are a few other merchants too
How were you able to make it so big? Mine keeps telling me I don't have space.
How did you get all the lights and electronic items to work? Do you have power conduit running everywhere or generators hidden etc? Thanks in advance if your able to answer.
vault generators and vault power conduits.
the generators send power to anything snapped on to it. the conduit radiates it a few tiles out
I would like to know how you utilized the tunnel systems. I just can't seem to get them to fit the way I'd like them to. The stairs seem far to canted I guess is what I am trying to say.
"The stairs seem far to canted"
I don't know what this means
What a great vault! I'm doing a lot of teeth-gnashing with mine, enjoying and hating it at the same time, haha. Um... thus far my dwellers do travel into other rooms, but I don't have a lot of tunnels. The ones I do have are utility leading to reactor room (they don't go there) and a domestic tunnel leading to the stairs into the overseer's office (they do go there). Someone commented that your dwellers might not be travelling because you used utility corridors... judging by my own small, in process vault, that could be true? If you're using utility pieces, that is - I haven't paid enough attention to be able to spot the difference at a glance!
I think they don't behave properly because I exploited the build size too much, but I'm not sure
+Robert Hayes still shooting from the hip, but they may also be programmed not to leave the original cavern area. sorta like how the settlers at hangman's alley don't leave the fenced area despite all the build space off to one side.
nice job man but im working on my vault now and getting resources is tough.how did you get so much resource?
Masoud Abbasi I produced about 300 extra water at Sanctuary and my Vault and traded then all for shipments. if your charisma is high you can make a lot that way
Well dayum. I'm jealous.
Bad ass!
Where do you get that smaller vault door?
how did you sink your vault doors into the walls, and how did you place everything in the entrance, for some reason I can't place anything in mine
for the vault doors and concrete walls, I prefabbed the whole thing big enough to seal the cave then moved it in to place all together
Hard to believe the *No mods*
Amazing
Can you make this a downloadable vault from the mod shop so others may use it, I would really appreciate it
How and wow
are you sure you have no mod because i see like 3 or 4 thing i dont have
I'm sure. they could be items from the other workshop DLCs if you didn't get the season pass
9:44 not for the life of me can I get the vault door fit into the subway tunnel :( the sucker just won't snap...
Yeah, that part can be tough. The Vault door will snap on to Vault floors and such, but you wont be able to build the concrete walls off of it to seal the tunnel.
What you have to do for that particular door is build the Vault door in a big open area and attach as many walls on it as you'll need, then move the whole unit in to place manually. It still won't snap in, you'll need to place it carefully. For me, the best way was to open the Vault door, grab the whole thing, then back in to the hallway while holding it. From there, its easy to fine tune and adjust it until it looks right.
Another thing I've done when those doors won't snap where I want them, Is I'll build the floors all around it instead of trying to snap it to 1 thing. Then just scrap the extra floors
Thanks for the detailed answer! That's much more complicated than I would have thought but I will give it a try.
Who’s here after fergie lol
Personally I have put an arena in the Center of the Atreum but only the settlers can fight in the vault. That's kinda lame. I would have loved To have deathclaws fighting in my vault.
Death claw traps don't work in the vault? We need a mod for that
@@roberthayes4007 I don't know I've never tried... perhaps it works in a différent settlement but not in vault 88.
How do you have so many residents with no mods
I went to other settlements and sent them to my Vault. It helps to have high Charisma.
The Vault seems able to hold more settlers, but with your Charisma up to 20, you can get 30 people at any given settlement. I think Grape Mentats, are a +5 and you can make the rest up with apparel
Does anyone know if this build limit glitch works on Xbox?
Wow and this was on ps4 or xbox?
In the video title: PS4 No mods.
Would you ever consider showing how to build this vault?
Avenge 4200 this probably took me 50 hours... I wouldn't know where to start on a tutorial.. the hard part was planning and envisioning the final product. I'm happy to answer any specific questions tho
+Robert Hayes how far does the atrium go out
My Atrium is 11 spaces wide by 9 spaces long, which gave me enough space to put the Overseer stairwell at the back of the Atrium. This was the width I liked most for the way the Atrium ceiling pieces work
Good video!
How did u not reach ur building limit???
I did many times. You can manipulate the limit by dropping stuff and picking it up in workshop mode.
+Robert Hayes watching your vault, I just want to tear down my poorly made vault and re do it. thanks.
I...I...I think you won fallout 4....O.O
Bravo!
Plz do more
Azproxx HD more what?
Robert Hayes plz do more like settlements plz
That vault door is mod!!!!
No
This just downgraded my base by far :(
more like : no mods used in this video ;)
I give up
I killed the guards here for their armor
You mean the Vault 81 guards? You could just pickpocket them! Plus, it has the wrong number on it, that would bother me lol
ps4 no mods. no shit!
1. posted this before it was announced we weren't getting mods.
2. I've been accused of modding several times
3. think before you speak
He's on pc
He's on PS4.
