I travelled with my brother from the south of Chile to The Netherlands just to experience this show. I always comment that we travelled from the "south of Chile" because to us, traveling to Santiago (our capitol city) is hard, so imagine going abroad...but we went to Tilburg....🤣🤣🤣 I have to be in that show and my brother is my partner so we were there and it was AMAZING!

The whole concert was amazing, but when Arjen said they would do the one song he thought would be impossible to perform live, everybody was surprised. This is probably by far the best song from the whole show. To see this live was a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
I can only imagine, just seeing this on film was absolutely amazing!

Hey Tauri, I was a few minutes late for the premiere. The third member of the "Tower of Power" is Jan Willem Kaetelaers, who also sang the part of The Chemist next to Simone. T. He is a super nice guy and one of the members of Magoria. Have a look at them, if you need another Metal Opera project in your live. The last album was good, the new one that released this year is even better. They have a few videos on RUclips, especially for the JtR1888 album/concerts.
And regarding going to an Ayreon show, basically everyone in Tilburg began saving for the next one after we left. Seeing multiple shows is a good idea. I'd say at least two to take it all in because there really is so much happening. You are right, the next one is going to be another expensive week again, but as you said it is money well spend. You get great music, the acoustic sets are free and the Ayreonauts are a fantastic community.
The other video from these shows that got released is worth a look, too. It's the last song of the album and you get everyone on stage at the end.

If we join our forces we will make it!!!! Anneke puts everything into one sentence. That's whats happening here. Multiply excellence by 25 ( main singers), and stirr well with a more than fantastic band, if not to say a bunch of geniusses, you get pure joy and beauty that radiates from the podium into the crowd. Keep on trying to witness one of Arjen's concerts in the future. It is nothing short of a pelgrimage. An almost out of this world experience. They are that good.

Anneke's exit was so touching: Taking the guilt-plagued President by the hand, as a comfort. As the Diplomat, she was radiating the hope that a solution could be found by negotiating.

Because he is a recluse, he normally only performs in Tilburg.. I got to go last sept and saw the Friday show, and when he pulled this out.. I was awestruck and it was amazing... I flew from South Carolina.. it was on my bucket list and i got to check it off! Very lucky.

Aryeon has the same effect on me now that it did when I first heard the project. Its something that I can put on and just drift away into the entire feeling that it brings. I know exactly what you mean..

Hey, to me this hadn't been the same if Arjen had made some kind of World Tour. I would just meet a lot of Swedes and you a lot of Americans. To meet Ayreonauts from around the globe on the same event is really special. This world could need some more of that, in my opinion. I mean, I met a lot of friendly people in Tilburg from Hungary, Finland, Sweden, Holland, Italy and so on. With all the wars going on, it lifted my heart to experience the mercy of being there. Hope you get the money and the opportunity one day!

You missed out! You should definitely come next time. It's not just the shows, but the entire town is a big party with all the Ayreonauts descending on the place for the weekend. There's also the pop-up store where some of the singers of the cast do solo sessions. It's a very big happening. I think it would be hard to replicate elsewhere.
For some Michael Mills goodies, his project Toehider has two songs I highly recommend: I've Been So Happy Down Here In The Water, and Whatever Makes You Feel Superior. Summer is upon us, they're good Summer songs.

I was surprised by the looks of beautiful Maggy Luyten singing the role of the Prophet with a lovely clear voice. Back then in The Source she appeared quite different with the most gritty voice I ever heard.
