The Acura MDX Type S is more than just a pretty package. The 7-seater gets a whole new twin-turbo engine, shared with the TLX Type S. it also gets a reinforced and improved transmission, a double-wishbone front suspension, and a host of other upgrades that translate to more than the sum of its parts. It's comfortable, quick, and full of smart features. Matt and Zack see how well it can handle a canyon in this review.
Acura provided the vehicle, insurance, and a tank of fuel for this review.

The Acura MDX Type S Has Proper Canyon Carving Cred - Two Takes
#AcuraMDX
#MDXTypeS
I have a 2002 MDX that I bought for $1700 in early 2020. It only has 150k miles on it, Absolutely flawless condition. Not a single dent, ZERO rust (we don't get rust here in Oklahoma), and not a drop of leaking oil anywhere on this thing, which is still shocking to me. COLD ac, moon roof, 3 rows of heated leather seats that fold down, heated mirrors, 3.5L vtec (j35A3), with AWD.. even the tires were virtually new. I wasn't all that thrilled about it at first, but it was so cheap that I had to grab it: until I drove it a few weeks and realized what this thing is. I LOVE this damn car. lol.. I've driven it for over 2 years now and it's gotta be one of my favorite cars that I've ever owned; and the fact that I got it for so cheap is wild. After two years and 20k miles later, I'm still pinching myself. What a find............... An MDX type S would be awesome. I wish it was a manual though.... Even though mine is in perfect condition-- if there was a Manual swap for this thing, I would do it.
you have a pretty solid car for sure, but you dont have the full MDX experience. That model does not have the SH-AWD, if you get your hands on a car that has that torque vectoring system, wow. you will not believe how nimble the SUV becomes. I own a 2011MDX BASE model with SH-AWD and 105K miles, I love my car, for sure a gas guzzler but when you can have fun like that on the road. Nobody cares about fuel efficiency! I love my car and Intent to keep it for a few more years, awesome 3.7 Engine with 300HP, not bad for a base model..
My wife’s 2014 MDX surprises me every time I push it on some curvy roads. The SH-AWD torque vectoring truly does make for a good time.
they ain’t slow either… I’ve done 110+ in my friends MDX. Didn’t even feel all that scary.
@@jackrosen1740 is 110 fast?
@@Tangelos in my book, for a 4000lb+ SUV, with a 3.5 liter engine, that’s pretty fast.
@@Tangelos depends how big the road/highway is lol...yeah 110 can feel fast
@@R3AP3R718 that would be a qualified statement. Not 110+ in my friends car didn’t feel that scary when my old 1st gen sequoia with more tq but less power and an extra 1000+lbs would sit at 110 for hours on cruise control.
These look great in person. Also, kudos to Acura for offering these in bright interesting colors. Such a welcome departure to the dark blues, silvers and grays we see everywhere.
I've owned several trucks and a couple suv's. Most impressive vehicle I ever drove in the snow, was my wife's 2012ish MDX. The sh-awd was crazy impressive back then. Big fan of this current model.
family car used to be a 2011 MDX. That 3.7 was no joke considering what it was in and overall the car drove very well for its size
Still drive one now, the Vtec crossover is one of the best noises
That generation was fantastic to drive. The one after got number.
Had the 3.7 on TL sh awd. That motor is legendary
All performance specs aside, I think that vehicle is incredibly good looking from almost every angle, which is a lot to say about an SUV in my opinion (not a big fan of them style-wise in general). Especially when compared to the previous gen MDX which was bland to the max (2014-2016, even though the 2017 refresh made things a bit better).
I have a 2015 MDX with 180,00 miles it’s a great car. I also had a 2006. I got tired of driving it after 410,000 miles. It still ran great. Engine and Trans never apart.
The 3.5 is a great engine, have the same in my 2012 TL and it never skipped a beat.
@@alpe6228 I had 3.7L in 2010 TL, was burning a lot of oil. I did drive it hard.
@@_Mario_PL_ the 3.7 isnt reliable.The 3.5 is literally unkillable.
@@alpe6228 I didn't do any research to have any say. Just didn't think there would be much of a difference other than displacement.
@@_Mario_PL_ one of the reason why I went for the fwd 3.5 TL instead of the sh awd 3.7.Its slower but super reliable compared to the sh awd 3.7
Another option for Canyon Carving is the 321hp 17-20 MDX Sport Hybrid in tech or Adv models. It comes in 200-300 lbs lighter, lower center of gravity, Sport+ mode, 7DCT, electronic dampers, regen braking, sh-awd that works with or without engine power, higher top speed of 130 mph, and you get 24-26 mpgs or 425-450 per tank for city/combine/hwy driving.
The fact that you are already at full torque at only 1500 RPM is crazy.
Just like turbo Diesel.
Single turbo V6!
That grabbed my attention as well.
But this has Japanese maintenance and reliability versus the Germans.
It “almost” has Japanese reliability. They need to dump the timing belt!
Never owned a German I bet magazine guy
@@beri232 a reason the Japanese use a timing belt
@@04tsxpower Mazda and Toyota don’t
@beri232 still have a 2010 Honda Crosstour V6. No issues with the timing belt at all. Only replaced one break caliper & obviously brakes. I now need a new muffler. Not yet but soon. I live in Canada with snow. Replaced the battery & regular oil changes. If that doesn't say something about reliability I don't know what does.
Something about this car makes it look rock solid. No other suv gives me that sense of solidness and ridgidness just by looking at it.
I was waiting for this review and I'm not an SUV guy, but if I were in the market at this general price point, this would be my #1 choice by far. Thank you for the details about the motor, cabin noise by vehicle settings, etc. I love that stuff.
For 80k this is worse than a Miata with rust all around going for 10k on marketplace. This and the tlx type s are fat, slow and outdated interior imo. With that money u can buy, a cherokee srt, x5m, x3m, amg suvs,
@@Vacia_323 Thank you for the completely unrelated comment to mine. I'll be sure to check with you first before buying a car, so I can make YOU happy instead of me.
@@Vacia_323 which planet you live on where a new x5m is $80k
I gotta disagree with the X5 being priced the same, in the DC area the X5's are about 5k more with similar features and thats not including air suspension which is no longer available on the X5 unless you get the hybrid. Q7 with air suspension and massaging seats is 10k more if you want one on the lot. Honestly price should not factor in, if you want a German SUV you are not going to be shopping this car. This car is not a status symbol. This is more for people like myself who keep their cars 8-10+ years, want reasonable service costs, low chance of mechanical failures, and want something nicer and more fun than the base model.
German cars are not status symbol. They are about performance and take performance serious. I wish Acura took performance serious like them. It’s too bad.
At 75k, you don’t get any performance in the Type S. That’s why many trade them in. Way too many drawbacks with it for performance.
Great looking car and super comfy though. Maybe someday they will take perfection seriously.
Appreciate all the graphics and stats added to the video..I'm sure that's a pita in editing. But it doesn't go unappreciated by me. Great vid guys
I like what Acura have been doing which is why I was disappointed by the new Integra. Hopefully the Type S version can bring it more spice.
Seriously one of the best two takes I've seen not a while,.... but ever!
I love this one and honestly next month I'm definitely pulling the trigger on the patreon thanks guys keep up the good work! 🏁🏁🏎️🏎️
Sounds like they didn't want to hear anyone questioning, "why didn't you do this, why didn't you do that, why didn't you beef up the transmission?" Great looking crossover, awesome video!
Acura only cares about safety. I wish they would take Performance seriously. Maybe someday.
This is the best video I've seen for this vehicle, hands down. Everything I wanted to know and nothing I didn't. I've driven RX 350s, MKX Awd and now have 2 2018 Murano Platinums. Wife is complaining about seat and ride discomfort. I'm seeing this as a potential way of curing both those issues, plus upscaling into one vehicle, as she's giving up driving; and also gaining in tech and performance. Gas mileage would seem like one of the few "cons." Now, if I can find one! 😱
5:27 - the Acura MDX's and TL's from the early 2000's would've been more appropriate to mention than the 2002 WRX
When I was younger my first Sedan was an Acura Integra. It has a Legendary Reliable Engine that simply Refuse to Die. I remember One of the Cylinder Died but I did not know it and drove it on 3 Cylinders for 2 years. It would not Pass the Smog Test so I tried to Bribe the Smog Station but he Refuse to take my money. Finally Retired the Car at 366,000 Miles.
I just put in my deposit for the Tiger Eye Pearl and Azurite Blue interior. I can’t wait!
Thanks for covering this one guys. As a "fun" family hauler, this will make me look closely when it's time to upgrade. And here in PA, many of us spend half the year in more practical stuff anyway. Current "normal" cars here are a gen2 RDX and a current gen Pilot. As Matt says, this could be a way to consolidate upward.
This was on my list before buying a loaded Ram. I couldn't pass up the insanely comfortable truck, but it was an excellent crossover and was a blast to drive. I think the one I drove was a Type A.
Many would disagree on the displacement of smooth V6's. There have been many smooth revvy 3.6, 3.5 v6 from several brands over the last 30 years, not to discred some of the glorious smaller ones.
Toyota's 2GR to name one
Buicks 3.8 is only smooth haha
vq
I’d own this over a low equipment x5 or a Audi any day. Especially because it won’t break. Just not in that color. Blue is the color. I wish this engine was the one for this car and the tlx had a hotter engine to compete with the bmws and Audis. Reliable and fast would be nice. This over a rx350 f sport I’d enjoy this anyway
I like the look of this thing. And that engine seems like it will find its way into some fun frankencars in the future. I also kinda like the interior buttons. Perfect? No, but I prefer to have them versus the alternative (too few buttons).
My dad's 2011 MDX has a crap load of buttons but it's easier to remember where they are than you think. You get used to it after a day or two.
I drive the 2nd Gen RDX with the 3.5 V6 in someways it’s way to much motor for the car. But the Vtec/intake switch over noise sounds so awesome I can’t help but smile even in a mom car lol.
I’ve had this car for over a month already. We love it. It’s the perfect SUV except it’s a gas guzzler lol
We had the Genesis GV80 with the twin turbo V6 and it was a gas guzzler as well. I’m not a fan of Lexus tech or handling but they ride very comfortably and the reliability is top-shelf…. they have the 2023 RX500h coming out and it boasts the same hp/tq numbers but gets around 30mpg. That mileage is enough for me to look past the lesser handling.
Thank you for your review and commentary - it's very good. You guys also touched the 3rd rail which nobody talks about, but which is important to those of us seriously shopping for our next high performance SUV, and that is the "RELIABILITY". I love Porsche Cayennes and BMW, but I can't shake that whether it's JD Power, Consumer Reports or RepairPal, they are always on the bottom for reliability and cost to own. I can't understand it.... But Acura is always in the top 1-3, on all those sites, and the cost to own is over $600 a year lower due to that. So, its the GLE and X5 faster? Yes, but...do you really want to be in the shop several times a year, have your light or your window actuator malfunction, etc? I think the Type S makes its case there too. I can afford the SUV, I can't afford to be driving loaners and dealing with repairs. If I was mega rich and could buy the Cayenne Turbo and flip the bird to the shop repairs...I'd do it. But....I'm not. I have kids and a family, and want to have fun, commute, drive fast, haul stuff, and make sure I don't get stuck in the shop.
Type S just went up in my book - thanks again @TheSmokingTire.
A downpipe and exhaust would make these things wild
and a tune.
@@layne4376 If you're looking for lightweight, just buy a small sedan lol
Bye bye warranty
JB4 has a tune for the TLX TYPE S which means a tune for this should be out shortly if not already
@@layne4376 Why would I give a damn about how heavy my luxury SUV is? That's like worrying about whether or not I can play basketball in a 3 piece suit.
This drive train in the Honda Odyssey. That's the 3 row option I want. Honda give us a Type-R mini van!
I'm pretty confident that your comment won't be very popular, but a fast Odyssey is exactly what I was thinking. Most people seem to think if you've gone minivan, you've given up on spirited driving, unless you can afford a weekend fun car. But not every one has the budget for that.
Acura has such a great platform with this engine..hopefully they keep this engine for the next 7 years or so and just keep upping the power
Really interested too see how much power this motor can hold up to with a bigger turbo
it has forged internals so Im pretty sure you can add a lot on these engine.
@@layne4376 that wasn't the question's implications though innit, that should be a given at this point bruv. He wasn't comparing it to the rest of em.
from early testing with hondata with stage 1 tune the tlx type s got 100hp with just the tune.. so when it all said and done this and the tlx will prob be around 500 and up with tunes and bolt ons.. the future is bright!
Trans can’t handle it. That’s why Acura put so many safeties on it. I looked into it already.
If you think that interior looks 15 years old you should see a 15 year old MDX interior
Idk man I own a 10 year old MDX and honestly think the interior might look even better than new ones at least compared to the generation prior to this new one.
I sat in the new one and thought the interior was pretty awesome; this coming from an owner of a 2017 model.
@@OhgodImtoosexy I think the interiors on all the brand new Acura’s are Stellar especially compared to what Acura the last 20 years of Acura’s it’s a massive step up. I still think Acura is the only luxury band worth owning, cheaper and far more reliable than any other German option on the market.
@@OhgodImtoosexy They're fine interiors but I don't think they're $72,000 fine. I put over 300,000 miles on my 08 MDX and it was still running flawlessly. That's why we buy em. For that kinda price I'm looking at X7s.
@@avery4528 So, because of cost, you will ditch known reliability? You can get an non Type-S for less. The 22 Advance is a wonderful package starting in the low 60's.. you do you
"will you stop thinking of them as the ones who stole your race car dreams" 🤣 fuckin Zack...lmao
Because 1st gear is basically non-existent in the 10 speed, the 3-2 is like a 2-1 shift in most cars so it’s going to ask for that room in RPM to maintain smoothness and save the engine/trans. If you noticed the 1-2 shift happens extremely fast and will auto upshift even in manual sport mode.
This is by no means an enthusiasts performance vehicle. Many that buy it for that, end up trading them or selling them.
Acura places so many safety’s on their engine and trans for ultimate longevity.
It’s kind of a killjoy. Especially at its high price tag. It’s more luxury sport and definitely No performance.
It’s comfy and looks great. Of Acura did more, many people would have kept them and more people would have bought them.
My friend traded his Type S in for a SQ7 and that thing is a completely different beast.
A tune Will definitely wake this up
There’s already tuning going into the TLX type s and it’s netted about 50hp and 100lbft
And that was a “stage 1” with more room to go to stage 2 AND still be reliable
Great car for every day driving. I used to own an old BMW, and everyone thinks you are a rich jerk just because you have a BMW. Acura? No status baggage, but still a good dependable upscale Honda, and this one has some juice.
So it seems like this got very glazed over in the auto industry but Acura was subject to a pretty nasty class action in 2019-2021 in regards to their infotainment system. It seems like only those involved knew about it. But essentially when they put the new infotainment system in the new RDX and touted Carplay and Android Auto it really wasn't consumer ready (late 2018). Using Carplay would regurally crash the entire infotainment system leaving drivers with no dash display, infotainment, or HUD. Even worse it also crashed the safety features: auto emergency breaks, lane keep, ACC. To the point that one day with no one in front of us the system crashed and the auto emergency breaks decided to bring us to a full stop in the middle of I-90. Theres a lot more details to add about how much Acura knew and how much they had told the dealers showing they could have made a recall. But we regurally found ourselves on the side of the road disconecting the batery to reboot the whole car. We got rid of the car so I can't tell you if it's gotten better but having loved the 2014 MDX we had it was tough to come to terms with the fact that they really could have killed us because they let a bad infotainment system go to market.
Looks like Acura resolved the issues as I've had no problem in my 2022 TLX. Just need a high quality USB cable and let the infotainment boot up before plugging it in.
I had a 19 RDX and never had that issue
Seems like a nice package tbh, but it really needs an exhaust to give it some personality.
Once the aftermarket sort out the ecu and trans tuning the TLX and the MDX will be very fun. The engine and trans should be able to handle a good bit more power. Only thing I'm disappointed with the TLX is the rear legroom, such a big car with smaller space than the Accord kind of sucks.
Though I agree, it makes sense for leg room in the TLX to be an afterthought. Anybody thinking of buying it as a family car would buy an accord or small suv anyway, most people buying sedans here in America often time don’t have Families. Most people with families that want something smaller and easier to drive would be looking at the plethora of sub compact family crossover’s available on the market over sedans. So when you consider the average American buyer for the TLX the lack of leg room in the back makes perfect sense.
Id rather buttons instead of a capacitive touch screen
Admittedly, I'm a loyal to the Acura brand but was looking for every reason NOT to get this car...Initially, was hesitant to pay that much for an MDX, albeit a Type-S, but after haggling down the price to $71k and change - pulled the trigger and got the 2024 Type-S Advanced MDX. Wish it had more HP and hit 60mph a second or two faster BUT...4 months in and it's still a joy, just like the first day bringing this baby home, to drive! It looks sleek, and has a presence on the road for sure. Unlike your Volvos, BMWs, Mercedes and Genesis that you see everywhere on the road - take pride in being the only Type-S owner on the block/town. Hands down, the best rendition of the MDX to date. The interior is a bit cozy for sure but the when you get behind the wheel and take it for a spin - it doesn't feel like you're driving an SUV or minivan. It feels like a sporty sedan that hugs the road and gives you the confidence when entering a corner at high speeds.
My previous car was a 2012 Acura MDX Advanced - and over the course of 10+ years - have never had any mechanical issues, has always carried anything I've needed to bring home - long story short: It's taken care of me without a doubt and hoping the 2024 will do the same for years to come!.
Great video. I drove a Type S in that exact color combo last week at our press day here in New York. I wonder if it was the same one.
Would've been hilarious if you did a Seven Takes
As much as a hate SUVs and crossovers, I gotta admit these actually look good, the color choices are great too
I love that it has buttons. I get carsick trying to look at touch screens on the move.
Holy shit this is actually a proper offering in the segment? I was so used to Lexus and their appearance packages that i wasn’t expecting much from this. Somewhere in there, the old Honda performance division is still alive.
Watching from the IE right now! But about to leave - just finishing up my family med residency at Chino Valley MC! Only 9 days left! Love your reviews of course, but just a bit behind right now
Always happy to see new cars without touchscreens or capacitive "buttons".
If I can't feel which one I'm pressing then your design failed.
i mean yeah but it sucks when you need to use it for stuff like android auto which is reliant on a touch interface
@@ShaiyanHossain I use Android Auto in my Audi with a rotary wheel and love it, don't have to take my eyes off the road for long and don't have to worry about my finger pressing something else when I hit a bump in the road. Touch screen in a moving car is a bad idea.
I have a 09 MDX Sportage with the 3.7liter V6 and absolutely love it. If only I was rich and could afford to upgrade to this model year
Have heard the ELS in the current TLX ... shit gets absurdly loud. It's wild.
This over German any night or day. Just need a red interior with the cats eye.
I know Acura/Honda is known for engine reliability… but I wonder how reliable are the air suspensions on this SUV in the long run? Although not designed for rock climbing, will it end up like land rover suspension’s headaches?
Actually really good-looking!
Great review and car! But I wish Acura produce the same or improved Hybrid trim for MDX Type S that it had on RLX, so it becomes more efficient and maybe even faster. In this case I 100% buy one.
My wife test drove this car and fell in love with it. We made a deposit on the spot. It drives a lotttt smaller than it is. It turns and rides well. The piano black and dollar store headliner material are the deal breakers of this car.
I love the fact this car has physical buttons
Me too! It's such a pain/distraction to hunt through virtual menus just to turn the AC on!
my wife has an X5 spec'd out the same as a Type Advance MDX, msrp was 82.5k... I just did one on a Q7 Prestige and it over 80k as well. You guys are waaay off on the pricing. very misleading.
I have been cross shopping these three SUV’s since January, and I totally agree with Jason. In addition, the Q7 doesn’t have remote start and the X5 doesn’t have the 3rd row seating option available for an unknown reason. Our MDX is due in next week.
@@LloydStClair-si3xz the Q7 also removed double front wishbone and their higher end audio system can only be had on the SQ7.
Totally agree with you. I was shopping for a new suv to trade in my 2016 MDX and the Q7 and X5 are priced like what you said and sometimes higher depends on the dealership and the reason they said (and which is true) is there’s not a lot of cars in stock. I ended up with ‘22 MDX Advance and me, my family and my pockets are happy. I would be happier if i had extra ten grand for that Type S Advance though. =D
TD04-H in the 3.0T. Thanks Mitsubishi lol. Also the new J30 is a DOHC w/ bucket/shim and no valve adjustment needed. They should've done this year's ago.
Sublime sounding.
Really great video, you guys are grindin. You crazy libs.
Does it still have the SH-AWD diffs? They have the best torque vectoring system out there. It has planetary gears on each axle so that the outer rear wheel can OVERDRIVE the rest of the wheels. I just wish it was a manual. lol... I lose half of the excitement because it's not a manual
I’ve been watching your videos for years. I just moved to California back in 2019. Can you please tell me what roads and routes you are driving? They are EPIC!!!!

The only issue is that a 2-year-old X5 M50i with almost 200 more hp and some sort of M tuning (obviously not full M) with about 10-15k miles on it is the same price. That's tough to pass up.
Tiger Eye Pearl is the color of you are wondering. With that color you can get Azurite Blue interior.
This is an option for customers who want the third row seat with optimal horsepower and won't buy German at near $100k.
The limited power I can look past but the mpg is horrid. I really want one but with CA gas prices, I can't afford $5+ a gallon
seeing how this won’t be in the service department a good portion of its life , this is a buy !
Is it even fair to say that the Type S is similar to a well equipped X5? I rode the MDX Advance and I was not convinced that car exudes luxury. It was actually a disappointing experience.
I am in the market for a new SUV, not NEW. I am looking for something slightly used, 2 or 3 year old SUV and I am considering a Used Type S or an X5, if you had a choice why what would you buy and why. like to hear options and feedback. thank you for the video.
I'm in the market for a used luxury suv in the next 1 or 2. I'd say drive the Type S then make your decision. I've driven the Mdx Advance and the v6 is just to slow for a 2022+ suv.
I’m concerned that Honda & Toyota are limiting their paint colors & interior colors. I don’t want gray that’s nearly white & I don’t want black. What happened to the beautiful red, tan & brown interiors??
Disagree with the cost comparison of the MDX to the X5 and Q7 comment. If you compare the three, feature for feature (air suspension, 16-way adjustable comfort seats w/ massage, performance braking systems, etc), the packages/trim levels you have to get to include all these features put them significantly higher than the MDX.
I’m saddened to see you didn’t do the “Acura pedal dance” to fully turn off the traction control
Matt - where can I get the sun glasses you are wearing?
Great car! I hope The Type S Integra has a manual and a dual clutch option. Just no CVT in Intergra type S please lol
I would've never ever considered an Acura MDX as a sporty vehicle.
Me either....until I bought this in TYPE S. It is the first car/SUV that switching modes actually changes the car, it feels like you are driving 4 different cars when you change modes. Sports + is insane. I took out my friends bmw x5 40i and also a q8. 2-3 cars lead
Could you please review the 2022 Acura RDX Aspec Advance.
Looks so good for a 'suv'
At $62K, the Ford Explorer is giving you a 3.0L Twin Turbo 400hp, 418ftlbs. Has RWD bias AWD system. I do think the MDX has slightly better tech, but that Explorer is not getting the credit it deserves right now.
You mean with with the Ecoboost headache? No thanks!
Would love to see a similar perspective on the GV80

I'm from Germany 🇩🇪💙 and i prefer this Acura over the Germany Brands...👍👍👍💪👑👑👑
I would get blue or white with red leather on the inside
It’s a shame these still use timing belts
the belt make these runs very smooth but maintenance wise its costy if you cant do it yourself.
@@layne4376 Agreed. Just did it in my wife's 2014 pilot. A little over a grand for timing belt, new plugs and a new water pump while they were in there. I can deal with that every 7 years. I'll take that over a German maintenance schedule any day.
Agreed that is expensive decision for consumer. I wonder why they did that?
@@layne4376 90k miles or 8 years
Agreed! That belt is the only sore spot I have for this suv…. Well, the mileage could also be a bit better in all honesty.
This engine might end up being the next KFZE. "I MDXTS swapped my MX5/MR2/GT86"
Spacious cabin for sure, i own a 2011 MDX with SH-AWD and the cabin for that year has wood and leather. I don’t get why car designers out piano black in the MDX, pucks up a lot duat and dirt. Mirrors on the MDX are small, if the car has cargo and passengers your rear view is blocked, so there is no rear view mirror witha camera, toyota out the rear view mirror camera for safety in the Highlander Platinum. What is Acura thinking. I drove the MDX Advance, as i wanted to replace my MDX, the car is totally underwhelming in terms of power and very soft braking pedal. The Type S, is basically same engine as the advance with a turbo. This is where Acura got it wrong. Once you load up the car with people and luggage the MDX is slow to go. Families are not going to spend $75k for a people mover. On too of that the interior of the MDX is just mediocre at best, it does not feel premium. If i want handling and performance, its going to be BMW X5, entry level inline 6 has 335 HP with olenty of torque. Another opportunity that was missed for the type S, 2 row and back row space is limited. Why not just make it a 6 seater with 4 captain chairs to offer the 2nd row a refined experience.
I was ready to buy a 2024 Advance but when i saw and experienced for myself the car i was totally disappointed because I love my 2011 MDX. Now i am looking to test drive X5.
Acura MDX types is the best one to get🤣
Japan reliability Over German reliability
there's far more to a car than reliability...
@@kristians2704 true… but tell that to the warranty. Once that 50k or 100k mile warranty is up… it becomes a lil more clearer. Trust me.. I’m In a toxic relationship with my 200k mile bmw.
@@aljohntabion2751 alot of people lease cars, so thats far less of an "issue" than most of us think it is
@@redriver15262 but for people that drive alot like me can’t be limited by lease mileage… I’m just stating as a German car owner… I’d rather go japanese
LIKE THE NEW MDX TYPE S DPECIALLY THE TURBO CHARGE V6 ENGINE 20 INCH TIRES
Handsome and pretty vehicle.
My highlander is just as fast in sport and didn’t break the bank and it’s sporty looking. Mines is grey w chrome delete.
Is this color the tiger eye pearl or some other color?
Sorry to break it to you guys but no turbo engine is going the distance. Honda or not.
Lmao!! When people get old that an excuse it’s a touch pad that mimic the screen so you DONT DRAG!!! It lol
I choose RELIABILITY for the win.
For me it has to be the DS 7
is that Mt. Tamalpais?
The only downside is this slightly less HP which will be easily covered with a tune all for $20k less than an x7. I compare this car to an x7 because of its size.
My favourite thing about that colour is that it's not grey, white or black.
