Ordered! Can’t wait to get it. You’re doing great work!
Great video Jake! Your razors kick ass! 🤘
I have had my Merica razor for a few years now. I can put any blade in it and get a great shave. In my opinion it is a very forgiving razor for daily use. Great product.
Thanks for the explanation! I loved shaving with my winning razor!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Got the Merica from you a few months ago. Absolutely love it. This video was extremely helpful in explaining your different razors. Been eyeing your flagship 921-M…but may go BYOR as I prefer a 3.5” handle
Excellent video Jake:)
Great video and explanation of your razors, thanks!
Thank you!
Great video Jake! Any chance to breakdown the blade gap, exposure, and clamping details? Always helps us shave nerds for comparing razors. Thanks for all you and your team do!!
Very helpful. Thank you.
Great video describing the razors. Definitely have to try one in the future.
Thank you!
Outstanding quality!!!
Thank you for making this video!! I have a much clearer picture of the differences in the models now. I already have a stainless winning and received your email about the Ti Winning I ordered. Keep up the good work bro there maybe a Merica in my future!
Appreciate the support!
Ordered a 921-M with a stonewashed finished on 2/14. Can't wait to give it a spin.
Oh goodness i got the email my Ti winning should be born soonish.
Feels like Christmas, isn't it? :)
Probably my new favorite razor
Ordered the Winning and Merica a couple weeks ago, can't wait to get to use these! Thanks for the video.
How do you like them? I have the Merica and love it. I am thinking about getting the Winning soon.
@@MDR-hn2yz Honestly, I love them both (I also bought the 921-M. I would say from "mild to aggressive" - none are really aggressive but they are efficient: the Winning is mildest, then the Merica, then the 921-M. The Winning I have zero weepers or nicks from and you can shave quickly...it reminds me of a high end Henson if that helps any. Can't go wrong with any of them though! Good luck :)
@@jay.001 perfect. Thx for the reply!
Love the magnet
Very helpful Jake!
Glad to hear it!
I picked up the last of the three razors shown above, the Winning in Ti- I already have the Merica in SS and the 921-M in a variety of finishes but I really prefer the Ti version with the standard long handle.
My comments on efficiency and daily shavers:
1. Merica: a near perfect razor, just a touch milder than the 921-M
2. The 921-M: this to me, is THE perfect razor, the long long handle is what tips the scale- flexible to another level. Perfect! No other word
3. The Winning: this is Aggressive! No other word; I’m on my guard when I shave with this razor, no question about it being a daily beater.
Hello. I got the Merica brass for Christmas and it is an awesome shaver.
Also I really like the pine shaving soap & splash.
Any input on how to keep it looking good? Being brass, it’s getting a little funky (black and green).
I just ordered by Yates winning razor really looking forward to receiving it 🙏🙏🙏🥇🥇🥇
Thank you!

Just purchased the winning razor. My Merica razor is awesome. I will collect them all lol. Thank you for making a quality product. What's the blade exposure on the 921 and do you still offer the brass OC plate?
Super!🙌
What is the gap and exposure of that beautiful Winning Razor ?
I'm winning with The Winning. Great razor.
Thanks Justin!
Any plans on offering alternate plates for the merica?
Not on the immediate road map, but always a possibility!
Do I need or can I use a washer for any of your razors ?
They aren’t necessary, but you can certainly use one if you’d like!
I think it would be nice if there could be a bit of cross-hatch or square knurling on the M-921's handle.
We’ll probably leave the current handles as-is, but we’ll definitely offer some different handle options in the near future!
@@YatesPrecisionManufacturing That's great, thank you. I realise the greater complexity pushes up production times and cost, so it makes sense.
I've only used the 921 model with the EH scalloped plate in titanium and it has become my second all time favorite razor along with the Ti Blackland Blackbird. Since I have no problem using it regularly and I enjoy very efficient razors, I see no point in trying the Merica or the Winning razors.
You may be surprised. My go-to is an EH as well, but I really enjoy picking up the Winning and Merica occasionally to change things up.
Can I use handle from Merica razor with 921 heads?
Absolutely
I don’t understand the pricing of your custom razor options on your site. to have the exact same razor just engraved cost significantly more not just the $25 extra as stated.
all pricing is in AUD
stainless razor engraved- $320
stainless razor- $164
titanium razor engraved- $460
titanium razor- $296
for those prices it would cost the same to aftermarket engrave a titanium razor for the same price to have YPM engrave a stainless steel razor. I bring this to your attention because I don’t think this has been calibrated correctly
When you say “engraved” which engraving are you choosing? We have 6-8 different options
@@YatesPrecisionManufacturing the issue isn’t the engraving it’s the absurd price jump of the *customisation* option
here’s the example a standard stainless merica razor is- $164 AUD
top cap custom laser engraving costs- $25
however, the *customisation* option that allows you to engrave it costs much more. so the total price of the $164 razor + the $25 engraving at checkout totals $296 will all other standard options ($320 stonewashed)
@@makuIa This is kind of where they lost me as a customer. You used to be able to buy individual components and the baseplates were engraved with their particular level (M, H and EH) and they were like $35 or so for a machined SS baseplate. Now you have to pay a $10 upcharge just for them to engrave the type of baseplate it is Ironically, if you choose to NOT have the Yates engraving on the top cap you have to pay extra. Now the cheapest baseplate you can buy is $55 but that won't have the name engraved on the baseplate, so unless you did what I did like ordering a EH hybrid plate in machined SS and a H in brass in open comb, there's no way of telling what each plate actually is. Worse off if/when you decide to sell or buy one as people could mistakenly or intentionally sell incorrect plates and no way to properly identify them. Just seems like a problem created just to get an additional $10 out of customers. I have to make the mental note when I use these plates and with an ever increasing amount of razors and plates I own, I'm guessing someday I'll also forget what these plates are and not be able to identify them. Strange as I don't know of any other company that charges extra for plate engraving the level of the plate. If all of my brass, copper or stainless steel Karve plates (in both closed comb and open comb) were unlabeled it would be a complete disaster.
